Chapter 16

I was tossing and turning the night before the wedding. I woke up five times in the middle of the night at even tried soothing myself with a drink or watching tv. Nothing. Nada.
So I just layed on my couch. Soon after, before I knew it I had fallen asleep.
I woke up the next morning on the couch, and I looked at the calendar on my wall. January 27th,  1987. and on the little square was written, " Wedding".
" I'm getting married today." I spoke to myself, stroking my bedhead hair and smiling.
I got up, took a brief shower, combed out my hair, put on some jeans and a torso and slipped on my easy-on-easy off shoes and put on some light make up.
All the girls including Katherine and I went out for an amazing breakfast while Michael and his brothers were doing something out as well. I was really excited- it was a perfect clear day.
After the bridesmaids and groomsmen made it to the front it was my turn. There I was at the back of the room wearing my white gorgeous gown. The wind from the back door blew, making the bottom of my dress flutter.
The music got louder as everybody stood up and watched as I walked down the aisle.
Everybody there smiled at me. So many familiar faces, and cameras flashing. Its amazing how many faces you can capture with a veil covering your face.
part 61: wedding

Do you, " The man began, "Michael Joseph Jackson, take Jennifer Antoinette Pinaud to be you lawfully wedded wife? To have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death?"
" I do," he smiled.
" And do you, Jennifer Antoinette Pinaud take Michael Joseph Jackson as you lawfully wedded husband? To have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death?"
I was about to cry, " I do." " Does anyone have any objections to this marriage?" Silence. " You may exchange rings." He placed the gold ring on my little finger and I as well placed the gold wedding band on his finger. " I now announce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride." Michael grabbed me and kissed me for what felt like five minute but was really about a few seconds. felt it was a magic touch as the everyone in the pews clapped and whistled.
his soft delicate hands held my face while he kissed, and I just held onto his lips. We had kiss many times before, but this was different. This was majestic.

My eyes were watery with tears of joy.

I walked up that aisle as Jennifer Pinaud and walked down as Jennifer Jackson.
at 5:00 the guests started to arrive. MILLIONS.  We danced, we ate, we mingled. We had a toast let by Marlon, ate more delicious food, posed for pictures with millions of guests, danced and just talked, talked, TALKED.
I felt so beautiful and happy, all of my friends and new brother, sister and mother and father-in-law congratulated and talked about childhood memories, being teenagers and being together.
I have to say dancing was one of the beat parts of the reception--speaking that you've got the worlds greatest entertainer as the groom, who knows where things could go?

The bride and groom dance was just magical. My dress swept on the floor, his eyes gazed into mine, our hands and arms wrapped around each other, and the music echoing in my ear--my life was perfect at that moment. If only I could be in his arms forever.

My jaw dropped and I blushed when Michael sat me down on the chair and went searching for my
garter! He told Latoya and I both that he was too shy to do it. But fair enough, he went for it and threw it to the men.

We drank and partied till about eleven thirty, thats when the convertible showed up. It had old fashion microphones on the back and a sign saying, " Just Married." Everyone waved, cameras flashed and I was in tears with joy.
