Chapter one

Dad drove me to the big studio for the show. And I was extremley excited because on the show, I was going to be up on stage with other stars, I hadal no idea who it would be.

For those of you who don't know me, I'm Jennifer Alvera. I'm fourteen years young and I'm a solo singer and a young actress. I got my big break almost five years ago, and its been quite the journey.

" How does this look on me, Dad?" I asked presenting my red shimmering dress, diamond necklace and black shoes.
" You look straight out of the VOGUE magazine," he winked.
" This is the night Dad," I sighed.
" Why? Whats goin on?"
" Four shows tonight! and all of them are solo performances!"
" Wow-we, well give your all kid, I know you will!"

We made it into the reserved parking lot by 6:15, my manager was at the door.

" Get ready! Irene's in your dressing room." Irene is my one and only makeup designer.
" Perfect," I grinned at him, walking down the hallway. There, my name was dazzled on the door, " Jennifer Pinaud"

" Jeni, Jeni," she designer smiled, with red lipstick smaking gum, " Sit down, hon!"
I sat down in my chair, she started powdering my face in blush.
" How's life, doll?"
" Oh, you know, pretty good."
" You workin hard in school?"
" Yes......"
" Good for you! close your eyes." she started with eye liner.
" So whats the act tonight?"
" A skit, some solo dancing, more skits....I'm starting of the show with a little singing and tap dancing."
She ended the make up with midnight eye shadow, lipstick and mascara, " My work here is done!"
I looked in the mirror, " Looks great!"
" Break a leg, sweetie," Irene smiled, as she continuously smacked her chewing gum.
" Thanks!" I smiled.
" ON LIVE IN FIVE MINUTES! WHERES JENI?!"

" Welcome to the Carol Burnett show! I'm Carol Burnett, and we've got a show for you tonight. To start I'd like to present the sweetest, talented teenager I've ever met. She's sure a handful I must say! Jennifer Pinaud, everyone!"
I walk out as the crowd cheered loudly.
" Big Crowd," I thought to myself.

" How are you feelin Jen?"
" Pretty Great Carol!" I smiled.
" You ready to put on a show?"
" Oh, I was born ready," I smiled again, at the crowd.
" Take it away!" She said, walking off the stage.

" Well, hey guys! And welcome to the show! I'm going to start off by a song danced by a familiar track."
I turn to get in position for the song. An old 1920's jazz song came on. I started dancing to the music. Then I said, " Hey wait a minute...John!!! What are you doing? This isn't the song!!!!!" I shouted, the crowd laughed a bit.
" Sorry!" the music player yelled in reply.
I threw off the gloves on my fingers and took out my bun which became a poofy ponytail.
The music started playing. And I started with a few cartwheels and tap. My dance included kicks, flips and the ending pose was the splits. The crowd went wild!

" I wish I could kick my leg up that high," Carol tried, which only brought up more laughter, even I laughed.
" Well, Carol it takes lots of practice and coordination."
" Thanks for the advice, that was Jennifer Rivera for you!"

I run off to my dressing room, getting out of my first performance outfit. What a show? but my hearts racing from those cartwheels. At least my landing went well.

I heard a voice from the wall of my dressing room. There were multiple voices coming....I then heard, " Get outta my way, bro!" I suddenly felt self-concious. Wolf whistles and cat calls ramble through the walls of my dressing room. I then saw there was a hole in my dressing room.
I screamed so loud the room shook, " Um excuse you, you dogs! Mind your business...This is off limits, find someone else to wander your eyes!"

I grabbed my next outfit to walk over to studio bathroom till I ran into someone right at my door. " I'm sorry, do you know where the bathroom's are?"
I thought I saw his face peekin out the hole, " Why? You certainly know where the ladies dressing rooms are." I glared.
" Hey I'm really sorry about that," he apologized, being sincere, but a bit goofy in his voice.

" You know, GIRLS are entitled to their privacy!" I snapped.

" I know--I mean...Believe me,  It wasn't my idea in the first place."
" Good," I walked off, still wearing my outfit.
" Hey wait!" I hollered, " Can I at least know your name? You were really good out there!"
I sighed," Jennifer, yours?"
" Michael," he smiled.
We shook hands.
" Well, Michael if you'd excuse me I have to change elsewhere."

I went into the bathroom and put on my comfort clothes. At least he apologized....and his smile was sweet....
Maybe, I don't know. Maybe I should just forgive and forget. Wait a minute....Michael....MICHAEL JACKSON!? I just told him off... But I had a very valid reason for it...... You don't break your neck looking at a girl through a hole in the wall. That's the lowest thing I've ever heard...literally! Man I hope I wasn't too hard of him, he did say it wasn't his idea.

Hey guys. You have to remember two things before you say that this was shitty. 1. This girl is 14, and she's not too good at structure and building actions and creativity in the story. 2. I wrote this when I was fourteen...so...yeah! Comment, like, vote!
