2: Wake Up Call
Dear journal,
Wednesday, September 13th
Today I start going to that new school. I really don't wanna go, since this bed is hella comfortable. Maybe I can snag some hottie and get it on, that's how comfortable it is. Lemme hurry up and end this before Sarah gets on my ass.
XOXO, Spinel

After dreaming of being in a weed paradise and having an affair with Jungkook, it was unfortunately interrupted by Spinel's teeny tiny brain, telling her 'Aye! Wake yo ass up time to get EDUCATED!' for her to reluctantely agree. This was the worst part of constantly moving cities; having to face different types of students and the teachers making you introduce yourself, possibly make you sit in the front (EXPOSE HIM-). Usually she tries to snag a back seat in all classes, and if she's lucky, not even show up.
Today, however, she'd have to improvise.
She shut off her alarm, which was playing Sweet Melody loudly. Afterwards she took herself a nice, hot steamy shower that she'll soon be sharing with your mom (Im kidding-). Surprisingly, there was a variety of soaps and shampoos, wether it be strawberry scented or even the smell of the beginning of Spring. It was all there. Usually her foster parents would make her use the ordinary Dial or something boring like that. Surely with this collection, Spinel will have a hot jock in no time.
After that long comfy cleanse she dressed herself in a white tank with a broken heart in the middle, a black mini skirt with fishnet stockings, and to finish it off a black leather jacket and hot pink high-top sneakers. Did she look like a hooker? Yes. That was exactly the look she was going for. Surely Sarah wouldn't give a damn, right? After all, she got away with just about everything.
"Can't forget you," she told herself, making sure to put on her mother's bracelet. "You're gonna be my good luck charm for now on."
"Spinel, are you done up there? I'm making blueberry pancakes if you want some." Sarah called from the kitchen below. That brought a smile on Spinel's evil little face. Pancakes? Blueberry flavored? What was next, whip cream on top?
Yep.
The whole house smelled like heaven, and it was way better than being in the care system homes. Fuck those wheat square cereal things (nasty as hell), this is a whole other level. "Damn, Sarah, got this place smelling like a bakery." Spinel commented as she took a seat. Sarah put a stack of 3 blueberry pancakes on her plate, drizzling that gorgeous blueberry syrup all over it and putting whip cream on it like there was no tomorrow. Last but not least, there was the cherry on top. Now this had Spinel drooling (man I wish she'd drool over me that way, know what Im saying ;)). "Hold the hell on, you have blueberry syrup? Since when was that a thing."
Laughing, Sarah replied, "They make blueberry pancakes, why not syrup? I have some apple juice, chocolate milk, coffee...anything you want to drink before you head to school. Don't forget the school supplies I packed for you, for the new start. And-" She took a look at Spinel's attire. "And I can assure you Miss Holly Agate won't like what you're wearing. What happened to the rest of your things?"
"I had this and the stuff I wore here," she said, already halfway done with her pancakes. "All I got."
"Huh...how about this. After you get done with your homework or whatever, me and you can go get you a whole new set of wardrobe. From any place you want. Heck I may even update my style, ya know?" Sarah suggested while making her own coffee. "Maybe you'll look less like a street hooker and more like a girl with self esteem."
'Dammit, you oldass lady. This is the current trend!'
"Fine..." Spinel answered, getting up and grabbing her new backpack (unlike me whose been using the same backpack since 6th grade-), giving a hug to Sarah, and then about to head out the door until...
"Hey Spins, how about I give you a ride? The school is pretty far from here."
She paused, thinking about the Cadillac, racecar, and Bentely GT outside. Those were the freshest cars known to man and they look like the key to making a good first impression: Riding in style.
"Sweet! Can we take the Bentley? That thing looks the best out of them all."
In a second tops, Sarah already had the keys twirling on her finger, a knowing smirk on her face.
"Let's ride."

-Meanwhile, arriving at BCHS-
When they arrived, Spinel wasn't in too much awe. It was no Empire Academy, believe that. It wasn't as tall as a skyscraper with kids in trendy uniforms. There was no variety of water fountains, no golden pavement. But it was something. The students were able to wear what they wanted, at least. No more itchy tight uniforms.
Spinel was so caught up in thought she didn't realize Sarah was talking to her, "So sugar, want me to come back at 3? Or do you wanna walk?"
Finally, she snapped out of it. "Huh? Oh, I'll walk. I know my way back." She answered. With one last goodbye, Sarah drove off in her GT, leaving Spinel on her own.
'Welp, this is nothing new.'
As she walked through the halls trying to find her class, there were a few whispers about her coming from others. Of course she couldn't care less about their opinions on her, but it was nice to know people knew who she was.
"Who is that?"
"I haven't seen her before, but her car is cool!"
"Ew, why is she dressed like that? Doesn't she know that's breaking the dress code?"
"Bet, I'll lay her by the end of the week."
"Woah she looks like she's killed someone."
"I love her style! Dark and gothic, very sexy."
After what seemed like ages through the crowd of people, she was able to make it to her homeroom who was also her math teacher, Mrs. Sardonyx Khadmine (wink wink, Alexia Khadmine ;)). She was able to spot a seat in the back, however before she could do so, her worst nightmare came true as Ms. Khadmine came in and started the one thing that scares every new student...
"Alright, settle down you failed abortions," Mrs. Khadmine called as she tapped the ruler on her desk. "We have a new student coming from Empire Academy, and we all know how much richer and bigger that place is, so I don't know why she came to this dump of school - I mean- Let's welcome her here, starting with a proper introduction."
"Oh shit..." Spinel muttered under her breath, dreading doing this for the millionth time.
However Sardonyx didn't give 2 shits and made her do it anyways. What a bitch. "Just start with your name."
"What if I don't want them to know my name?"
"Why wouldn't you?"
"Because, I don't want anyone calling my name."
"Just do it anyway."
"No."
"Fine..." Ms. Sardonyx Khadime started. "I guess I'll tell Ms. Trenchbull."
'Mrs...Mrs. Trenchbull?' (If you know who Ms. Trenchbull is, you are a Matilda legend-)
Defeated, Spinel groaned and stuffed her hand in her pockets. "Fine, I'm Spinel, and I hate all of you."
"That's the spirit!" the teacher chirped, causing Spinel to roll her eyes. "Alright. You can take a seat. I'm sure there's one to the right of...hm...Steven! And you're in luck, he's one of the best in my class! Isn't that right Steven?"
Steven, who was in the back, nodded and smiled. "I wouldn't exactly call myself the best, but I do what I can."
'Yuck...I smell innocent fuckboi from all the way.'
Just by his looks and the sound of his voice, there was no doubt he was the popular nice kid with a perfect family, possibly a girl as well as many side hoes and a scholarship to Harvard. The life Spinel wished she had, including a few side hoes to at the end of the day. But wether he got chlamydia from his side hoe or not, that was something she couldn't determine. And if he did he better get that shit cured, no one want that itchy coochie. Better not give it to Spinel, that's for sure.
The teen girl went to the bacc so Steven can hit it from the back, and as soon as she did she tried her best to avoid the perfect boy next to her. Unforuntately, her hopes were a load BS and he was the first to introduce himself to her.
"Hey Spinel, welcome to Beach City High," Steven said, smiling at her. His smile was just as rich as Sarah was, and that gave her motivation to take a look at the rest of him. It was basic beach look, a pink jacket, nice curly locks she'll be twistin later, sandals and a blue star shirt. A very simple look, and an attractive one too. If he was more emo, he'd be the perfect fling for her. He was probably gonna be the only one to actually talk to her today so talking back wouldn't hurt, right? If it did, chain me to the wall ;).
"Sup." she managed to say without that much harshness in her voice, leaning on her desk pretending to pay attention to what the teacher was talkin shit about.
"So...what made you move from the best school in the state? Empire City is pretty wealthy, and the schools are even better." Steven asked in curiousity. "People here would kill to attend that place!"
"Just came to live with my grandma, with her oldass." Then, she looked at him, raising an eyebrow. "You know you're kind of nosy for the favored student."
Steven laughed at her remark. "Well I get it honest. It never hurts to learn about new people. It's nice having someone new around here, brings more of a variety to the place. We haven't had a new student since my Aunt stopped homeschooling me. It's great having you though."
"Thanks..." Spinel muttered half listening.
For the rest of the class, Spinel tried her best to ignore Steven and his goody-two shoes like personality. She didn't know why, but it annoyed her to death. Maybe because her life was less than perfect. Maybe because he was being too nice. Maybe because she wants him to tap dat ass. Either way, she got a different vibe than from people before. She just couldn't figure out why...
The 2nd period bell rang and Ms. Opal Mann was next on her schedule, science. Thankfully she was only 2 doors down from Sardonyx, which saved her plenty of time. At least it wasn't like Empire Academy where she had to go up 3 flights of stairs for Spanish and 6 flights more for Geometry. Her 3rd period was only on the second floor.
'That Steven kid is kinda sus...though he seems nice enough, I won't smash his torso yet. Though I gotta admit, he's pretty hot. Might just spare him.' Spins thought while heading there. The day went by slowly, and it didn't help that whenever it felt like 30 minutes, one look at the clock would tell her it had only been 5. Thankfully, next period was lunch, and Ms. Sugilite's class seemed pretty easy. After all, she only gave a little speech and they were watching Akeelah and the Bee.
Instead of watching, Spinel was busy scrolling through Instagram, looking at Ariana Grande's latest posts and some zodiac astrology. An account the particulary caught her eye was from @RespectingWomen247, and it was a picture of Steven peace signing with a tanned bluette and a light skin blonde with large glasses with a caption that read 'Summer always finds a way to end without our permission, let's kick it's ass next year!'. It was kind of funny, considering it was true.
She slid to the next picture on the post, where there was Steven again with a dark skinned girl with black hair and sunglasses. She didn't know who these people were, or why Steven was so close to the girl in the second picture, but sure enough she was gonna find out.
"Why the hell are there so many women? Does Steven have any guy friends at all?" She asked herself, observing the pictures. However it was that last picture that bothered her. But why? Was it the fact the girl was a bit too close, or was there a vibe from it that she didn't like?
Whatever it was, Spinel had a feeling those 2 had some sort of relationship going on.
And she also had a feeling...it wasn't gonna end so well for her.

Hey Kat Kommunity,
I have nothing to say except sorry for the trashy chapter, I wanna get to the main course but of course we gotta butter that crusty bread before we do that. Man, I hate doing that, I want some blood, whips, and Steven handcuffed to something with a gag in his mouth. But of course...
Anyway if you liked it be sure to claw at that vote button and leave a buncha awesome comments!
Keep calm and sleep on,
Kat
