Chapter 15. The Revelation pt. 2

Khao's Pov:

First leaned his head on my chest and calmed down, silently thinking things through. My hands rubbed his shoulder assuringly as he leaned his weight on my body. "First, are you okay now?" I slowly murmured after a moment of silence between us.

First lifted his head off my chest and turned to look at me, let out a small sigh and nodded. "Can I ask you what really happened? I'm still confused... The evidence all pointed to you..," I spoke up, seemingly unsure about things. I trusted First but that was getting even more complicated.

First let out another sigh and stood up from the chair to sit right next to me on the bed. "I'll tell you from the beginning then," He muttered to me. And with a slow nod from me, he began.

*Flashback*

First's mom and Aon never liked each other, especially Aon. Aon would always start fights with mom but First never understood about what. Aon was 11 years older than First was.

Aon was 26 when one day, the arguments between him and his mom got so heated that he left home. He never returned after that day. But First didn't understand anything. He was only 15.

That time, First was 26. It was a few months ago when First met Aon for the first time in years.

That day, First had just finished his bar work and was about to go home. The bar had gotten closed at 2:30 a.m. but First had stayed even later to clean up. So when he was on the road, walking his way to his apartment, it was past 3.

The roads were totally silent. No one was there except street dogs. No talking could be heard. Usually, Bangkok streets were full of people. There were people still roaming around even half an hour ago but in the span of such little time, everything changed.

First walked in the midst of silence yet the sound of nature. Dogs barking, crickets chirping, the wind blowing, that's all the sounds were coming. Even a little sigh from First could be identified as loud.

Walking on the footpath, he finally noticed a glimpse of a few people from the corner. At first, he was relieved that he wasn't alone on the street. But walking forward, he noticed there were three men who looked extremely intimidating, leaning on their motorbikes and staring at him as if he was some kind of undiscovered species.

Scared, First stepped aside in order to avoid the guys and kept walking. There was one man facing backwards so First couldn't see the guy's face. Yet they all looked like adults and most likely were older than First.

After walking a few steps, First realized he was being followed by that man who he couldn't see. Panicking, he increased his pace of walking but the man didn't stop, he kept following him.

First swiftly took steps to hide inside a dark valley. But to his surprise, the man went there as well and held his wrist tightly. "Let me go!" First shouted, wiggling his hand the best he could to make the grip loosen. But the more he moved, the tighter the grip held onto him.

The man immediately pushed First against the wall, his eyes facing the guy. In the dark path, he could see nothing but a shiny metal ring on the man's middle finger.

The man put his hand on First's mouth to shut him up but First kept refusing and moving until First's movement brought them both out of the dark path onto the street lights. First finally saw a glimpse of the man's face. "Phi Aon!" He yelled in shock. He had never expected to see Aon ever again but yet he not only saw him but also remembered him totally.

Aon put his index finger on First's lips, shushing him down. For a second, First actually mistakenly thought that Aon had stayed the person he was 11 years ago. But that was totally a mistake.

Aon almost immediately flipped up and wrapped his arm around First's neck, letting the finger drop which he had on First's lips. Neck was First's weak spot. In fact, the space right under his adam's apple was his weak spot and Aon knew that. He took advantage of the moment when First couldn't speak or scream due to the pressure added on his throat and held a handkerchief on First's nose.

Next thing First knew, he found himself in a large, abandoned hallroom. He was still feeling dizzy yet he still could recognize the place where he had so many memories. It was his elementary school which had gotten closed just two years before and then, Aon was using it as his hideaway.

First's hands and legs were tied roughly together with ropes. He could not move at all so he couldn't do anything but squirm on the ground of the hallway.

He finally saw Aon walking towards, a weapon in hand that he didn't quite recognize. Aon walked closer and closer, holding First's shoulders he made him sit on the ground. "Why am I here, phi?" First yelled. He was so innocent. He still believed that Aon, his brother, had a reason, a good intention and was a good person.

"You've seen me already... so you know I'm alive..." Aon murmured and slapped the weapon on his own hand a few times. Closely observing, it looked like a small belt type of thing made of rubber, it was no longer than his fingers to his wrist.

First couldn't say more before the weapon was hit on his back. After one hit and with a groan from First, he walked all around First in a circle and observed him quietly. "You've grown up, huh?" He asked as if a kidnapper was observing the child they kidnapped so it'd be easier to have them on their finger though at that point, Aon did kidnap him, even though he was his own blood.

After the hit, First had understood that Aon was no longer the person he was back then. He had changed... a lot. The Aon back then would had never hurt First in any way.

First held himself back and murmured slowly, "Why are you doing this?" The Phi he had added previously almost immediately disappeared from his mouth.

"I wish you could know..," Aon murmured back and walked away from the hallroom completely, leaving First suffering.

In a few hours, he came back to First, but not alone. He had held a man by his shirt's collar and threw the man on the floor next to First. Next to Aon, were two other men.

"Please, let me go." The man begged Aon, bringing his palms together and bowing on the ground. Aon clicked his tongue and brought out a gun from his pocket.

The man held First and begged First to save him. "Help me." But First was in no place to do that. The two other men held the man's wrists tightly and stood him up. And with a loud noise, the bullet went right through the man's heart. On the spot dead.

Aon was smiling while the other two men looked like they didn't want to be there, just like First, as if the cells on their faces were all dead.

It was the first time First had witnessed such a thing. A man getting murdered in front of his own eyes. He couldn't believe it. How had his brother whom he loved dearly changed so much?

Tears filled up his whole face, making his face shine bright and desperate. Aon finally turned to look at First after acting like he wasn't there the whole time.

"You're crying already? So weak..," Aon mumbled and gripped First's face by his cheek harshly.

First sobbed. "Please... Let me go..." He let out in his broken voice. His pure heart had been broken into pieces.

"I will... But you cannot tell mom or anyone that I'm alive. Understand?" Aon asked and tilted his head, letting go of the grip he had on First's cheeks and instead, landing it on his hair and pulling it.

"Phi Aon..," First murmured in pain. That was the last time First had ever called him Phi. He had slowly learnt to believe that his phi was no longer alive and that Aon was not his brother.

"If you do, your father will be..." Aon paused and yanked First's head forward with the grip on the hair to get his ear closer to his mouth. "Dead." He threatened and let go finally before walking to his two men and whispering, "Clean the bloody mess and let him go. As for the body, throw it off the Chon Buri cliff." The two men nodded and started doing as he said.

That was the second murder Aon had done and because of the body not being found, he got away. So in total, he did 11 murders, not 10.

After that, before every murder First would be kidnapped and the murders would be done in front of him just because Aon wanted to torture him and make him see how cruel the world could be. For the sake of his father, he had hid the pain he had been feeling inside him until then.

Each time, Aon would purposefully leave some evidence related to First to leave the investigators confused as well as giving random fake clues that had nothing to do with the case at all. Aon was extremely smart and he had always made sure that there was no way any clue of him could be found.

In fact, the next murders were all done by suffocating people out of breath with pillows so there would be no sign of murders.

*End of Flashback*

First had been through a lot? But what now? How are they going to find evidence and restrain order against Aon?
