La'Nae
The day went perfect. After enjoying myself as much as possible and reconnecting with the only form of family I have Aug and I headed back to the house. The girls wanted to come but we told them they could come back this weekend. I keep thinking about the text message, so in the mist of the cookout I called my connect and gave them the number to trace. I was standing in the yard just enjoying the night breeze and smoking one when I felt someone standing behind me to turn around and it was none other than August......

"Whatcha doing outchea in the front yard fa?"
"Chillin, thinking, enjoying the breeze"
"And what you thinking about."

Shit, I gotta think of something. I cant let yung get involved. He has a career and a family, and as much as I am fighting my heart I care too much for him, and he can't get hurt.

"My brother, Dom, my parents. Everybody I love bounces"
"Naw, you can't think that"
"It's true. The only other person I loved decided to turn me into a punching bag, whichever means there wasn't any love, but I still ended up alone" (Aug clenches his jaw at her words)
"Damn. I'a never let a nigga put his hands on ya"
"Trust, I know" (they laugh thinking about the Trey situation)
"Nae, I'm here to listen ya kno' "
"Yeah I do.....we should go shopping tomorrow"
"Nae that was random asf (laughing)"
"Yeah, it was wasn't it (laughing)"

August hugged her and she hugged back. It was a hug of comfort, love, and security that she hasn't felt in a while. She pulls back but Aug still has his arms around her waist. She looks up and he looks down as they stair into each others eyes she tip toes a lil bit and her leans down and they kiss. The kiss was just as sweet and soft full of love. La'Nae leaned more into the kiss as her body was speaking what she's afraid too. They finally stop kissing and Aug pecks her lips a few more times and they go in the house. And cuddle and talk. Just as Nae is about to fall asleep in August as her phone buzzes....

She sighs and places the phone back down trying to think. Which lets her know she really has no choice. She has to find out who killed Rome. Even if it means her life in the process. She finally dozes off.....

(Dream mode)

"FUCK YOU!!!!"

Why did I say that? After that I only felt punches and slaps, my fighting back only seems to make him hit harder, he was still swinging till I black out. Then wakes me up with hot water...
(Dream over)

"Ahhhhhhh!!!" (Sits up screaming)
"Nae you OK!?" (August asks while speed walking out the bathroom in nothing but a towel)
"(Calming her breathing) yeah just a dream"
"You want to talk about it?
" na, I'm good. I promise, but let me get up so we can go shopping"

After they get fly and stop by Wendy's for breakfast they finally make it to the mall. With sunglasses and hats in place and security close by. Nae and Aug crack in ppl they see as they go from store to store, then when they are about the head to footlocker Nae looks up and sees him...........
