Chapter 5

*Hide's POV*

I opened my eyes to sunshine filling the room, turning the walls into a Beautiful silver color I turned over onto my back and rubbed my eyes and winced slightly at a throbbing pain in my head then the memories came back, I was hurt by something. I sighed as my memories were clouded and foggy but I couldn't care, I was fine now. I sat up in the bed and my door opened to reveal the blue haired waitress of Anteiku, Touka. That's right! I was taken here and that's when I passed out. Oh and Kaneki stayed with me for the night. Kaneki... Where was he now?

"Morning," she set a bowl of soup down and I smiled at her.

"Good Morning," I took it cautiously and stared down at it, my reflection swirling and moving in it.

"Hmm?" I looked over when she walked out and I stared at my phone. It lit up from a notification and the picture of Kaneki and I popped up as my lock screen when it did.

"Kaneki," I whispered. Shouldn't he be here for me now?

I smiled gently as I walked down the busy street, I felt much better after leaving Anteiku. Its been a week yet nobody knew where Kaneki was. I began worrying for him, he was my best friend after all. But maybe... Maybe I thought of a relationship farther than friendship. I shook my head slightly and kept walking as I stuck my Hands in my pockets and fumbled with my phone as I thought about calling Kaneki. Would he answer me? I mean I am his best friend so he should. I sat on the bench in the park where I came with him after we first became best friends. I took My phone out of my pocket and stared st the picture of the two of us before going to his contact and pressing the green call button. I stuck it up to my ear and with every ring my heart sped up. I stopped breathing for a second when the line went silent.

"Kaneki?" I managed to say.

"Hide," I smiled at his voice.

"Kaneki! I'm so glad you're ok I was so worried doe you!" I gasped.

"Hide stop," his voice grew stern and I was puzzled.

"Kaneki?" I murmured.

"Hide..." I heard the intake of breathe.

"Hide we can't be friends anymore! I hate you so much! Never come near me ever again!" He spat then the line went dead. My phone slid out Of my hand and hit the ground as I stared in utter disbelief, shock, and horror.

"Kaneki," I whispered as I felt tears stream down my face.
