*Kanekis POV*

I opened my eyes and rubbed them as I sat up on my bed.

"What," I yawned.

"You're awake," Touka huffed and my eyes widened at the sudden memories.

"Hide!" I gasped.

"He's fine," she huffed and stood up as she set the coffee on the table.

"Get cleaned up and drink this then go and see him, he's in the room down the hall second on the left," she muttered and I nodded nervously as I took the cup. She shut the door behind her and I chugged the coffee, felt my hunger satisfy, then I began changing clothes to something clean and without blood. I sat on my bed wearily and rubbed my temples with my index fingers. I couldve hurt him apparently since I didnt satisfy my hunger. I feared Hide getting hurt but now I could be the one to hurt him... Maybe I should just stay away from him forever. He'll be safe that way.

"I'll stay away after today," I whispered out loud and stood up. I grabbed the metal knob and turned it slowly before walking out and going down the hall to the room Touka said Hide was currently occupying. I walking in without knocking and I felt sad and a bit bad and guilty by just looking at him. His forehead was bandaged and had a little bit of blood dots around the wrapping.

"Kaneki," he sounded drowsy as he spoke and he turned in the bed slowly, the blanket moving half off his body as he did so. His brown eyes were half closed and he had a soft smile, his skin was a pale color, probably from the blood he has lost due to the wounds inflicted by Nishiki.

"Ho are you feeling?" I murmured softly, in Case he had a headache I made my way to the bed and sat by him and he looked up at me before shuffling to put his head on my right thigh.

"I'm tired," he whispered.

"But I'm fine... I dont feel any pain," he smiled at me.

"Thats good," I smiled back but it was mostly forced. I couldn't push away the nagging thought that he had gotten hurt because of my mistake.

"Its warm," he yawned and blinked his eyes a few times, probably to keep them to stay open since he looked really tired.

"Kaneki will you stay till I fall asleep," his voice dropped to a whisper now as he was slowly drifting off to sleep right by me.

"Yeah I'll stay till you sleep," I mumbled and clenched the side of the sheet with my other hand.

"Good..." His voice trailed off as he smiled and closed his eyes.

To be honest I didnt know how long it was but he seemed so peaceful on his sleep, no signs of any pain or anything.

"Hide," I whispered as the sun was falling and I blinked back tears.

"I'll miss you a lot," I whispered and kissed his forehead gently, he stirred and sighed out softly as I stood up.

"Goodbye Hide... Forever," with that I left the room and Anteiku.
