Special Place

**Song suggestion: The View by Stray Kids. 🎶

The new couple boarded a tram and inside that little mode of transportation was a few other people whom were seated randomly but the two decided to sit three seats from the front. Taehyung let her take the window seat and he sat beside her. There was silence for a short while because Sooyeong found herself reflecting on what Taehyung and her just did.

She couldn't comprehend the actual fact that she kissed him. The Kim Taehyung. It was all just so incredulous to her. Like it was some sort of dream which sounded too good to be true.

She closed her eyes and took a breath in to convince herself that that was not an illusion but a new reality. However, when she opened up her eyes, she found Taehyung's head poking in front of her.

She gasped, it definitely was real.

"Believe it like Naruto does, Sooyeong. You and I are together now." He casually informed and quickly pecked her cheek, and she got shy. "And where are we going?"

"You'll find out soon, okay." Softly, she muttered and nervously took the hem of her skirt between her palms.

"But I can't wait..." he drawled and with a pout he leaned his head against her shoulder.

She looked at him, still baffled at his cuteness and ethereality. He really was blessed with good genes.

"Do you really want to know?" her voice was sweet and a finger ran over his cheek, similarly as in biology class. He nodded with a gulp.

"To your murder scene, my love."

She quirked and his face lit up in shock. She held back a laugh.

"Yah! What happened to all of that affection from just now?" he mumbled, cutely, then wrapped his strong arms around her waist and her pulled her close to him.

She gasped at his actions. The position he put her in; seated over his lap with her shoulder pressed against his chest, made her blush but when he tightened his hold around her, she felt jolts of electricity pass through her entire body.

'Oh man, holy shit.' Was all she could think.

As she panicked internally, he seemed unbothered about their proximity and contact. How she would've loved to be at least a little unbothered, alas, she loved him too much to not lose her shit like that.

"So..." his deep voice fanned her ear and she felt his lip slightly graze it. She felt as if she would drop dead at any given moment. "Where are we going? for real this time."

She swallowed, feeling her cheeks burn as she adjusted the hem of her skirt. She made a mental note to not tease him like that again because she got tenfold of what she did.

She spoke softly, "Somewhere special to me."

"Is it like your hideout?" his breath hit against her cheek.

"Not exactly," she smiled. "It's a special place to my parents."

"Your parents?"

"Yeah," she said and he allowed her to move back to her seat. "My parents met there for the first time during a spring fest..."

"Then I feel really honoured to be going there." He declared.

She smiled at his words then turned to lean her head against the window, however, before it could make contact with the glass, she felt Taehyung's hand sweep under so her head rested on his hand instead of the glass.

At this, her heart warmed. She looked out the window and watched the buildings pass by in rapid successions.

"After mom passed on and dad met The Dragon Lady, we continued going there with her but ever since I felt no love and magic in that place." She explained with an aching heart.

"Soo ah," Taehyung took her hand in his and intertwined them. "Doing things with different people won't always lead to the same feelings and experiences. Not everyone holds the same place in your heart."

"Then what about the love and magic? Do you think it'll ever feel the same?" she pouted.

"Some things fade with time but little remnants will always remain." He pulled her into a side hug.

"What do you mean?"

"I may not be the TXT boys, who influenced your love for magic." He chuckled shyly. "But I want to be the reason you still feel the love and magic at that place."

"Yah, such boyfriend material." She teased and snuggled in his arm. "Thank you."

After they got off the tram, they walked hand in hand toward the park. It wasn't as big as Olympic Park but it was still a good size with plenty of cherry blossom trees and minimal festival activities.

They entered the park and her eyes caught sight of couples and families picnicking under the beautiful cherry blossom trees which were doused in fairy lights and she noticed how the lampposts flooded the terrain in brightness.

"Wah," Taehyung drawled. "It's so pretty here, I really like it."

"You're not just saying that?" he pouted with a shake of his head at her question. "Good," she smiled and wrapped her arm around his strong one as he looked around.

"Woh! Sooyeong," he yelled excitedly and she giggled at how cute he was. "Let's go on one of the bridges over the canal!"

"Which one?"

"The ones that's special to you of course,"

She looked over at one in particular, there were a few people on there and even a family of three which made a pang of hurt shoot through her heart but that didn't hinder her choice.

"That one?" she pointed and Taehyung's gaze shot over to it.

Without hesitation, he tugged her along. Once there, he ushered her onto the bridge and allowed her to pick a spot from where they'd observe the cherry blossom trees which ran along the river's banks.

"What do you think?" she asked as she settled her gift bag near her feet.

"The scenery is something else," he declared as she watched a few petals float on the surface of the water. "And the atmosphere's different here. It seems calmer and less noisy."

"With the kind of job my dad did, calming places like this was what he needed, you know." She looked over at Taehyung who leaned against the railing whilst looking into the water below. "But I honestly have no clue what he saw in The Dragon Lady. She's the opposite of calm."

"Well..." he propped his elbow on the rail and looked at her. "Don't get offended but women have this bad habit of showing you what you want but once the knot is tied everything crashes and burns."

She laughed softly at his remark, "If I didn't experience it first hand, I would be offended and you seem to know a lot about everything, don't you?"

"I gues- oh man! What was that?" Taehyung suddenly gasped after hearing a splashing sound in the river.

She giggled at his reaction, "It's just koi fish, Tae."

"I didn't know there were koi fish in there..." he mumbled with pouty lips.

"Stop being a baby," A wide smile covered her face and she snaked her arms around his waist. "Someone might find you cute and take you home."

"We all know where the real baby is." He snickered and gently tickled her stomach.

"Yah! Stop it." She squiggled with a laugh. "That joke's old now and you're an actual creep, you know that. I can't believe I fell for you."

He laughed as well and pulled her close after he had halted his tickles. Those words she mentioned suddenly got him thinking about something.

"Say,"

She looked up at him and he had a smile on his face.

"When did you start to like me?"

His sudden question surprised her but it also got her thinking. She stared at the trees as she thought back to the exact moment when she began to like him.

"I guess it was when you specially got Hoseok Oppa a flamingo plushie because he said he had never seen one before."

He cocked a brow at her reply, "How? Because it isn't directly related to you."

"I just found the gesture really sweet and I saw how happy it made Oppa. So I guess it just happened." She leaned against the railing. "And for you?"

"Aish," he looked away shyly. "I think I've liked you for longer..."

"No, don't lie to me," she was shocked.

"I'm serious," he whined in his deep voice. "It was when you accidentally hit me in the chest."

Her jaw dropped, "But I hurt you. Why?"

"The amount of times you apologised afterward and how cute you looked really did a number on my already weakened heart. If you're somehow related to Rocky Balboa, I wouldn't be surprised."

"Yah, you're so weird." she playfully shoved him. "Now I don't feel so bad for hurting you because that unrequited love I've always thought about would have been real."

"Aish, I just can't believe we've actually liked each other for that long yet we didn't realise it." A sigh left his lips. "We're really useless at deciphering feelings, aren't we?"

"You said it..."

*Dumb and dumber*

"Excuse me?"

A sudden voice interrupted their sweet conversation. They both turned around to find a much elder woman facing them and Sooyeong pinned her as the woman from the family of three.

"Sorry to interrupt but can you take our picture, please?" she politely asked and pointed toward her family.

Without hesitation, Taehyung took a hold of the kind woman's Polaroid camera and snapped a family photo of them. Taehyung's photography skills left her in awe because it came out perfect and the addition of the cherry blossoms as well as the bright lighting seemed to have enhanced the beauty of it.

However, that family photo dug up memories of her own family- when it was just her parents and her. She really missed those days but with Taehyung by her side it didn't hurt as bad and that love and magic she talked about, she could feel the remnants Taehyung spoke about. It wasn't distinct but even so she thought it would get better with time. At least it had to.

"Sooyeong ah?" Taehyung's voice suddenly snapped her back to reality and she noticed his large and perfect hand wave in front of her. "She wants us to take out a photo together."

"Uh?"

"A Polaroid photo Soo," he gently pulled her close to him because she was in a daze. "Because we helped her."

She quickly came to her senses and wrapped her arms around his torso and leaned into him. However, Taehyung quickly pulled off her baseball cap and ran a hand through her soft her and it fell into place. Then he quickly slid his left arm around her waist.

"Smile." She said. "Hana, dul, set!"

The camera went snap and the picture was captured.

When the Polaroid photo was generated, the woman handed it over to them. They both thanked her and soon everyone went back to what they were doing.

"Wow..." she awed as they both stood, heads together, and stared at the photo. "I really need to get one of these camera's, it's so pretty."

"I guess it's because you're in it." He flirted with a little wink and his forehead was clearly exposed because her wore her baseball cap- Taehyung forehead nation rise.

"So cheesy," she teased pushed the photo in his direction. "And you should keep this."

"Why?" he questioned. "You should keep it."

"Didn't you chase after me first?" he looked at her shook as she let out an airy chuckle at her reference to Jungkook's parents love story.

"Keep it, I'll make a copy." He suggested and she agreed to his plan.

She took the gift bag in her grasp and gently placed the photo at the bottom of the bag but when she did so something other than Tata caught her attention.

It was another sticky note which was purple in colour. She gently pulled it out as she suspiciously eyed Taehyung.

"I purple you." She read aloud.

She turned to face him and she noticed the tiny tints of blush over his cheeks, "Purple is the last colour of the rainbow and it means I will trust and love you for a long time."

She stared at him with a smile. She had good reason to fall in love with him. He always did extraordinary things and went out of his way to make someone happy.

"Tae, your mind... it really amazes me." She noticed the cherry blossoms fall passed him. "But I purple you too."

Soon after she hugged him, tight, and he did the same. They felt comfortable in each other's hold and it was a beautiful feeling. She felt Taehyung peck the top of her head then he gently rested his chin on it.

Alas, something suddenly vibrated in the pocket of his blazer. They removed themselves from each other's hold and he pulled out his smartphone.

"It's Jimin," he said and received the call. She watched as he listened to whatever Jimin had to say. "Yeah, she's here with me and everything is fine."

He put the smartphone on speaker.

"Thank the heavens," Jimin breathed in relief. "Also, meet us at Sooyeong's house right now. It's really important." His voice was insistent and the two only glanced at each other, confused.
