Make It Right
At Songpa Naru Park, Jimin relaxed over a soft picnic blanket which was laid over the lush green grass as he stared up at the Cherry blossom trees around him.
Some of their buds were slowly yet surely blooming but others were in full bloom. They looked absolutely beautiful and they were also doused in fairy lights so once night fell they would still be visible. That was Jimin's favourite part of the entire festival-watching the trees at night.
Every year his family came to this particular park. Over the years it became tradition because it was more family oriented since there were a lot of activities to partake in and his family loved to participate in them.
He turned to his side and eyed his family along with others' who played a variety of classic outdoor games. He smiled when he saw his mother jump up in happiness after having won a prize. She was very competitive so she almost always wins all of the contests here.
As for Jimin, he doesn't participate in them anymore because it was a little embarrassing for him now especially after that one incident that took place two years ago. He wore a plain white t-shirt along with some dark ripped jeans and his family made him participate in a water balloon contest.
At the end of it, he ended up being soaking wet with his abs out on display and embarrassment had set in because all of the girls couldn't take their eyes off him. Hence, he just preferred to just relax during the festival and not exert himself too much.
He turned away from his parents when his smartphone rung. He picked it up and noticed that it was Taehyung's call so he received it then spoke into the receiver.
"Tae?"
"Jiminie pabo..." he whined but Jimin cringed at the nickname. "I feel really nervous. Is it okay if I talk to you for a while? Just until I feel better." Jimin sensed his pout.
Jimin sighed, "I don't get why you're nervous. I'm pretty sure you pulled off a lot of crazy things just like that kiss. You've got nothing to worry about, seriously."
"I know," he groaned. "But today is a big day. I wanna tell her how I really feel about her."
"Then do it," Jimin declared. "You're not one to shy away. You've been planning this for a while haven't you?"
"Yeah but what about the real deal, you know?"
"What?
"What if she kisses me... like on the lips?" he deadpanned. To Jimin, Taehyung just sounded too paranoid. "What would I do?"
"Kiss her back, obviously." Jimin stated the obvious. "If your crush kisses you, you need to kiss them back but..."
"But what?"
"You should make the first move, it'd be more romantic that way but keep it under nineteen plus."
"Aish, hyung." Taehyung sighed, as he looked around at the many people passing by but none of them was Sooyeong. "I'm not gonna force her to do something she doesn't want to do."
"Seems like you're a good boy, yah?" Jimin chuckled. "And is Sooyeong there as yet? What time were you both supposed to meet?"
"Around four," he announced. "She messaged me a while ago and said she can't wait but it's already after half four. What if she stood me up or she's lost?"
Jimin's eyes widened at Sooyeong's unpunctuality, "Only an idiot would stand you up Tae." He scolded. "And everybody knows Olympic Park, if she really was lost she would've called you. You should really know Sooyeong better than that, she would never put you through this waiting game twice which brings me to my next point,"
"Which is?" Taehyung's eyebrows were furrowed.
"Something's not right..."
Those words struck an old memory of his; when Sooyeong realised something was wrong on the day of Dansae's birthday.
"Hyung, I think I should go look for he-"
"No, you stay there. What if she shows up and you're not there? What will she think?" Jimin spoke sternly. "I'll go look for her instead."
"But you're with your family Jimin, I'll-"
"Don't worry, I got it under control." He assured his distressed friend. "Text me if she arrives."
"Alright, I will." Taehyung said. "Thank you."

After Jimin's conversation with Taehyung, he repeatedly dialled up Sooyeong's number only to have it go onto voice mail. Each time that happened he felt more frustrated and concerned. Thus, he resorted to giving Jungkook a call in order to see if he had some insight on Sooyeong's whereabouts.
However, after Jungkook had searched around Olympic Park, which was the park that Jungkook's family regularly attended, at the thought of Sooyeong actually being lost, he came up empty; she was nowhere in sight.
Thereafter, the two boys decided on meeting up at Sooyeong's Outhouse because the possible conclusion that ran through each of their minds was: The Dragon Lady. They worried that maybe she did something horrible to Sooyeong because that woman proved to be worse than Satan himself on many occasions.
Jimin quickly boarded a bus that went in the direction of Sooyeong's house and all through the ride he sat nervously. He even checked up on Taehyung but she still hadn't arrived. Once the bus came to a halt, he jogged to Sooyeong's house.
There, he pushed through the main gate and as he was about to sprint to the backyard, he heard a soft voice call out for him.
"Jimin hyung?"
He turned to find Jungkook not far behind him. Jimin waited for him to catch up to him before they both jogged towards the Outhouse. Once they reached, their faces dropped in surprise because the door was left ajar.
They give each other a concerned glance before they covertly poked their heads beside the door frame and peered inside to get a look at what the situation may be like in there.
Their eyes scanned the usual sight of boxes, metal equipment, newspapers, hairdryers, clothes basically anything you could think of was in there.
"You see anything, Guk?" Jimin asked since he was shorter as compared to Jungkook so he couldn't see all the way to Sooyeong's bed.
"Only this stuff I haven't gone through in a while." Jungkook's eyes glimmered as if a new adventure awaited him.
Jimin gave him a slap to the head to which he groaned.
"What was that for?"
Jimin gave him a serious look which read, this is not the time for that.
He looked away and rubbed his ✨ coconut ✨ head, "It doesn't look like anyone's here, hyung."
They broke away from the weathered door frame and stepped inside. Instantly, the usual stuffiness of the room dawned upon them and as Jungkook delved further into the room Jimin searched around for any clues that could help find their missing friend.
Alas, he noticed that nothing seemed out of the ordinary except for a couple of food packets which had all Sooyeong's favourite treats in it. He figured that she probably went out earlier but that still didn't help his thoughts.
He turned toward Jungkook and noticed him picking up what seemed to be an already open ramyeon cup.
"Hyung, this ramyeon is half eaten..." Jungkook's voice dropped in worry.
Jimin's expression mirrored Jungkook's. Alarm bells immediately went off in his head, he thought that something was definitely wrong and he wasn't about to wait to find out what it was, "Jungkook, I think we need to go to the main house right now."
"No! Wait, hyung," Jungkook called from his crouching position on the floor after he had spotted something else. "It's Sooyeong's phone and the screen is shattered too..."
Jimin spun on his heels, he was ready to burst into the main house like a raging soldier at war.
"Oh man, holy shit, hyung."
Jimin faced Jungkook after hearing his colourful language only to see the colour run from his face.

"Kim Taehyung! What the actual mochi is wrong with you!?" Jimin yelled into the speaker of his smartphone after he dialled up the said boy.
"Yah, Jimin ah, what's wrong? And why are you yelling?" his voice held confusion. "Did you find Sooyeong?"
"No! But I found something else!" Jimin shot back as he heard Jungkook's rummaging in the background. According to him the state of which he found Sooyeong's smartphone in was too worrisome so he needed to keep himself busy plus he was super angry with Taehyung because of that post he tagged her in. "You told me that you were going to tell her how you really felt? That you wasn't going to force her to do something she didn't want to!"
"Hyung, you're disgusting if you're just playing her!" Jungkook set his jaw after he yelled.
Taehyung gasped on the other end, "Why did Jungkook say something like that? And what are you talking about? I really wouldn't force her-"
"You said you were nervous, then we see that post on Instagram. Is an eggplant and water droplets what you really feel? Everyone knows that's the sex emoji's, Taehyung." Jimin vexed as Jungkook dropped a couple of things in the background but he sent him an apologetic look. "I can't see you doing something like this so explain yourself."
"I really don't know what post you're talking about hyung. I haven't been on Instagram all day." His voice sounded anxious.
"It's a picture of Sooyeong at Hanbit Park and you captioned it, I'm sure she tastes as sweet as she looks with those two emoji's after." Jimin read aloud from Sooyeong's smartphone and Taehyung went silent on the other end. "If you didn't do it then who the hell had access to your account?"
Taehyung groaned, "No, I would never do something that dumb. I care a lot about Sooyeong, hyung."
"I swear on the stars, hyung." Jungkook hollered. "You better set things straight and remove that post!"
Sooyeong was his favourite noona and Taehyung his favourite hyung so seeing either one of them being hurt because of the other was a tad bit too much for his heart.
"I will set things straight!" Taehyung yelled, and Jimin could only imagine the crazy looks people would be giving him. "Let me check my email for a log in alert, anyone can hack an account and I'll remove that post right now."
Jimin was put on hold thereafter and as he waited he found himself going through the comment section. A lot of them hated on Taehyung and a lot of them hated on Sooyeong as well. Some of them even mentioned that janitorial issue with Eunwoo. It devastated him but he could only imagine what Sooyeong must be feeling.
"Jiminie~," Taehyung's voice suddenly hit his ear and he hummed in response. "I removed it,"
Jimin refreshed the page and saw that the post was no longer there. He also noticed that he put up a story informing that he was hacked.
"And I did get an email," Taehyung sounded annoyed. "I really need to reset that pop-up notifications and the device mentioned definitely belongs to Dansae, I know that for a fact."
Jimin sighed and Jungkook stopped to listen, "He's such a piece of shit, honestly."
"I can't believe all of the stuff Sooyeong is going through. I just really love her, hyung, and I just want to protect her but it feels like I'm doing more damage than anything else..."
Both Jungkook and Jimin's heart broke at Taehyung's sudden confession.
"Taehyung," Jimin spoke. "You're one of the biggest lights in her life like her parents were and whenever she's with you she smiles the most. She adores you just as much as you do so please go find her and as Jungkook said, set things straight."
Jimin imagined Taehyung to be smiling on the other end, "Alright, and you both are really good friends to me. Thank you... and I'm sorry."
Afterwards, he hung up and Jimin turned to face Jungkook who was just standing completely still beside a frame which he made out to be Sooyeong's family portrait.
"Jungkook ah~, there's no need to worry, everything will work out. I'm sure." He gave Jungkook's shoulder a light squeeze.
"I know it will..." he said, plainly, and Jimin noticed a white folder in his hands.
"What's that?"
"I'm not sure. It was next to this portrait." He looked at his elder. "I want to know what's inside but it feels like I'd be prying, you know since it's sealed."
An airy chuckle left Jimin's plump lips, "Since when does your curiosity have boundaries, just open it up."
Jungkook nodded then tore open the seal. Inside was a thin booklet of some kind so he pulled it out to get a better look at it. The cover page seemed to be in cursive English which left Jungkook completely stumped. He then chucked the booklet in Jimin's direction.
"You got a 96 in English. Translate." Jimin stared at the younger with a raised eyebrow. "I got a 3, remember? It put a dent in me, now translate."
"It's cursive English, I can't understand this." He flipped through the document and noticed that the entire thing was in English with no aid in Hangeul like in the poems they did with Namjoon. However, with some help from Jungkook they did point out a few basic, common words and translated it. They also noticed that there were signatures at the end.
"It sounds important, hyung." Jungkook said. "We should just Google translate the entire thing."
"Google's unreliable and I hope that's not what you used for your assessment." Jungkook choked at Jimin's words. "We need someone we can trust because if this is what we think it is, it's going to be a game changer."
"You think Seokjin hyung would still be around? Maybe he would understand this." Jungkook suggested with a little smile.
Before they could slither their way out of the Outhouse, Jimin pushed Sooyeong's smartphone into his back pocket. They then ventured across the yard to set their plan into motion and as they ran they noticed that the kitchen lights were still on, which meant that someone was at home and Jimin prayed that it wasn't Suhjin.
Upon arrival, Jungkook literally splattered himself against the glass and he looked inside.
"Jungkook, what are you doing? Do you want The Dragon Lady to see us?" Jimin scolded as he tried to pull him off the glass but he didn't budge.
"I see him! I see him!" He chirped and slid the door open. "He's still here! Let's go." He grabbed Jimin's arm and yanked him inside.
Jimin was appalled by Jungkook's shift in mood because a minute ago he was stuck in an abyss of anger and sadness yet he was now Hoseok-happy. He pondered on the fact of gifting him white folders with English documents in them for his next birthday.
"Jin hyung!" Jungkook happily hollered which broke Jimin's train of thought but soon after he noticed a frown cover his face. "What are doing hyung?"
Jimin peered his gaze over to Seokjin only to see him halt the packing of his chef equipment and he looked at them with an unreadable expression.
"Packing my things." He stated the obvious.
"Why?" Jungkook continued his inquisitive reign.
"I got fired." He breathed.
"What!?" both boys yelled and stared at him to go on.
"I put laxatives in The Dragon Lady's food and she found out the hard way."
Jungkook's face lit up in euphoria, "Oh man holy shit, that's great!" he clapped and Seokjin seemed to be satisfied with the reaction he got out of his younger.
Jimin sent the both of them a glare because laxatives wasn't something to be played around with, "Hyung, you do know a large dose of laxatives could kill a person!"
"Yah! It's not like I've been giving it to her every day or something," Seokjin sighed, "And you sound just like Sooyeong, stob it." He concluded with a soft pout and Jungkook chuckled.
Jimin brushed off Seokjin's childish behaviour with a light sigh but all in all, he believed that he did a good job with getting back at Suhjin although he knew she deserved a lot worse than just diarrhoea.
"Why are you two here anyway? Aren't you supposed to be with your families?" Seokjin asked as he resumed his packing as Jimin watched the sharp knives clack against each other. He somehow felt relieved that he didn't stab her with those then watch her bleed to death. Those horrific thoughts made him shiver.
"T-To... see Sooyeong noona..." Jungkook shakily replied since he was unsure of what he should actually reply with.
"Aish, she left a while back." Seokjin smiled. "And heavens, she was looking so beautiful just like her mother, you should have seen her." He smiled like a proud father.
Both Jungkook and Jimin exchanged pained glances with each other and concluded that he definitely did not know about what had transpired between Taehyung and Sooyeong because of that post.
"We'll tell him later." Jungkook quickly mouthed and Jimin was quick to nod.
"Tell me what?" Seokjin's ageing ears managed to catch Jungkook's soft words and he looked between the two of them, expectantly.
"Later hyung," Jimin declared and shoved the booklet onto the table in front of him. "But right now we need to know if you can read this."
Seokjin narrowed his eyes as he inspected the sheets of paper, "I don't know English too well but I have a feeling that this is what I've been looking for all a long." He looked down at them then pointed out his index fingers. "And this is why you need to study English hard!"
"Oh man..." Jungkook sighed.
"But," both boys ears perked up at the mention of the conjunction. "I'm going to meet up with Namjoon in a while. I think we should ask him to help. He will be more useful."
With his knife packing sent into an oblivion, he quickly grabbed the keys to his SUV and made for the exit.
"You sure he'll be okay with us troubling him, especially after school hours?" Jimin mumbled as Jungkook and him followed Seokjin.
"He won't mind..." Seokjin assured as he glanced at them. "Because I don't think he has the heart to turn down his only jamless students' request?" he laughed after, and he literally sounded like a wiper moving across a glass screen.
"Aish!" Jimin fired back as he remembered when Namjoon told him he had no jams. He didn't even know what that meant. "Why does Sooyeong have to tell you everything, hyung!" He frowned as Jungkook laughed beside him.
A U T H O R ' S N O T E
I honestly had a hard time figuring out what could be Ahro's and Dansae's part 2 of their plan and that was the best I could come up with, aish. 🙈 I can hear the disappointment.
