Karma pov
We had gotten to the hospital and the doctors had taken Nagisa to the ER while a nurse treated my injured hand and Korosensei left to not be noticed.

I had been waiting at the waiting room nervously tapping my foot for about 3 hours. So when I heard the door open I stood up thinking it was the doctor, but it was Rio and Kayano.
"Karma!" Kayano yelled
I looked down
'She must really hate me'
All of a sudden I was pulled down into a hug from her
"!!"
"It's ok" she rubbed my back
I couldn't contain the tears I thought were finished.
She's Nagisa's best friend.
Why is she comforting me!?
It should be the opposite!
She should hate me!

Kayano eventually let go and looked me in the eye
"I know you're blaming yourself, but please stop"
"... why are you so calm"
"Because Nagisa's strong, I know she'll come out of this alive"
I wiped a tear from my eye and smiled at her
"Thank you"
She smiled back and Rio walked forward
"What exactly happened Karma, Korosensei came and got us saying she was in critical condition"
"...she was pushed off the cliff, by Asano"
"!!!"
Kayano put her hands to her face
"Why!!"
"Before Nagisa passed out she told me she broke up with him"
"That bastard! Where is he!!!"
"In a hospital, but not this one"
"Did you beat him"
"Yeah"
She smiled
"I'll be the next one to hit that pretty face of his when I see him at school"

Kayano weakly sat on a chair with tears coming out
"I really thought she was happy with him, how did I miss her pain!"
"Don't blame yourself" Rio told her
"But I'm her best friend! I should have known! What kind of friend am I if I couldn't even notice how unhappy she was!?"
We both looked down and sat in silence

I couldn't help but think back to when I accidentally confessed my feelings and said it was a joke
How did that make her feel?
She really loved me.
Hearing me say I loved her and played it as a joke...

This whole time... I was the real jerk.
Now...I might loose Nagisa

Timeskip
A doctor entered the room and we all stood up
"Are you here for Shiota Nagisa?"
"How is she?!"
"She had lost alot of blood and had many injuries"
My heart was stopping
'Is Nagisa dead?'
'Did I lose her?'
So many thoughts were going through my head
"We lost her many times...but she fought through"
We all sighed in relief
"She's stable right now so you could go see her"
I turned around to look at Rio and Kayano
"You go, we should be going home, it's kinda late. We just needed to hear if she was ok"
I smiled
"Thanks"
"Don't let her go this time" Rio told me before she left
"..."

I walked inside the room Nagisa was in and heard light beeping of the heart monitor.
"Nagisa"
"..."
I went up to her bed and pulled up a chair
"I'm here now Nagisa, you can wake up now" I said as I grabbed her hand
"I promise I will look after you. Better than Asano, better than anyone else on this planet"
"...." she responded with silence
"I'll love you no matter what"
"..."
"Ill wait for you, even if it takes you 10 years to start trusting again"
"...."

After a while a brought my head down to her side and fell asleep

No one pov
Karma woke up the next morning to find himself leaned over on Nagisa.
He stood up and stretched
"Good Morning Nagisa"
"..."
He was answered with silence
Karma smiled and cupped her cheeks
"Wake up soon" he said before walking out of the room

As he was walking he bumped into someone
"Umph"
The person he bumped into fell
"Ah, sorry!" He offered his hand
The women took it
"Thanks"
Karma's eyes widened when he realized who it was
"Shiota Hiromi"
"Karma? Are you here to see Nagisa too!?"
"I was going to get some fresh air"
"I see"
"She's in the room across the hall" he told her but noticed her looking down
"I'm scarred..."
"Huh?"
"My daughter's in this place because of me"
"??"
"I forced her into a relationship with Asano Gakashu for my own benefit"
"...." Karma just remained silent
"Even though I knew how she felt about you."
Tears began to fall down her face
"I'm the worst mother!"
Karma grabbed her hand
"As long as you came to visit her, it's ok"
She smiled
"Thank you"

Hiromi had finished seeing her daughter and right when she was about to exit the room she stopped
"Is something wrong?" Karma asked
"I have to go on many trips, so I won't be able to always be there for her..."
"..."
She turned around to look at Karma
"Please look after her"
"...."
He smiled
"You don't have to tell me"
She smiled before walking out

Karma pov
I was looking at the door for a while and when I looked down at Nagisa I saw that she was awake
"!!!"
She tuned her head to look at me
"Karma?"
"Nagisa!!"
I threw myself on her making sure not to hurt her
"Nagisa, Nagisa, Nagisa, Nagisa" I called her name with a smile on my face
"K-Karma"
I got up
"Sorry" I said embarrassed
She giggled and tried sitting up
"Don't force yourself"
"I'm fine"

She had managed to sit up with some of my help
"How are you feeling?" I asked
"Better"
"That's good"
I looked down not knowing how to phrase what I was going to say next
"Karma?"
I looked up
"Nagisa..."
"Yes"
"Earlier... did you mean it?"
"Earlier?" She tilted her head
"When you said you loved me"
"Yes"
"....so You really did end it with him"
"Do you think I'm lying?"
"N-No! I just can't really process everything"
".... I really meant what I said. I love you, Karma"
I frowned
Hearing those words made me feel worse
"I'm sorry"
"About what?"
"Telling you that loving you was a joke, I hurt you to the point you actually yelled at me"
"It wasn't because of that!"
I looked up confused
"What do you mean?"
"I mean yes hearing you say that hurt, but I was feeling really crappy and I didn't want you to see me"
"But, I was with you that morning. What happened?"
I saw Nagisa tense up
"Nagisa?"
