Taehyung was relaxing in the lobby with Sohyun and even got popsicles that were being sold by the front desk.
Taehyung sucked on the blueberry flavoured popsicle harshly as he thought about how weird Jeongguk was acting because of what he said about the stupid keychain.
His mood was decent in the morning until Jeongguk had to ruin it with his mood swing. How annoying.
Sohyun was innocently munching on her matcha flavoured dessert while Taehyung was in thought.
"What was it that Jeongguk wanted?" Sohyun asked popping the popsicle out of her mouth.
"He lost something and I was helping him find it." His voice was monotoned. Slouching his back on the chair, he hunched his body forwards with his arm laying on his thigh, sucking the cold treat.
"What's gotten you so grumpy then? I thought we just had fun?"
Sohyun bewildered with Taehyung's gloomy attitude and short responses.
Taehyung was befuddled. He didn't like how when things were going perfect, but had to be ruined because of some small object he dissed.
Jeongguk was walking out of the public washrooms and Jeongguk caught sight of Taehyung who folded his arms sassily looking the opposite direction.
Taehyung could swear that he could hear footsteps coming closer to them, and in his head he knew it had to be Jeongguk. So out of nosiness, he peered his eye to the steps seeing Jeongguk not walking towards them, but away heading to the elevator.
"Unbelievable!" Taehyung scoffed crossing his arms. The popsicle finished with only the stick part left hanging between his teeth.
"What happened between you two?" She looked towards the elevator door that started closing.
"He ruined my mood."

It wasn't long till everyone else was done the activity. So then, came another and it was kayaking. It was a three person seating so it was given who Taehyung was going to pair up with. More-so, the director had gotten them to pair up the same as the last activity.
Sohyun sat at the front, Jeongguk sat in the middle, leaving Taehyung the back of the inflatable kayak.
They were floating in the average size lake that Taehyung saw from a distance from the balcony of his room.
As they brushed the waters with the paddles, there was no wind to cause a hassle. They started going somewhere towards the middle moving the sticks in unison. Jeongguk was in the middle as the moderator, if they had to go more one direction he would help that side.
Despite Taehyung and Jeongguk's feud, the younger played on with the boat ride acting as he normally would.
"I don't know where we're suppose to go." Jeongguk flicked his paddle backwards and some of the seaweed water flicked onto his face.
"Watch where you fling that thing." Taehyung spat the water the touched his lips and rubbed his face on the shoulder of his blue lifejacket that was strapped on his frame.
"We can do a lap around the whole lake?" Sohyun suggested, wading from one side to the other. She strokes lightly and the swampy water wasn't that bad, but was algae filled in some areas.
"Look water lilies!" Sohyun stopped paddling and Taehyung stopped the boat by pushing the paddle the opposite direction from how they were moving. "Do you think I can take it?"
"Unless you want to be fined than go ahead...I don't even know where you would put it..." Jeongguk dipped his hand into the water testing the temperature, flicking his fingers from droplets left on them when taking it out.
"Mr.logical it was just curiosity... I wasn't actually going to do it." Sohyun she started rowing back on the path they were going.
"How's the water?" Taehyung asked from the back moving his head over to the side to see the side of Jeongguk's face.
He turned his head over to Taehyung, "Didn't I splash you? Can't you tell from that?" He asked.
"It sprayed my face but it was a little... God! I was just asking a simple question."
"Guys! I don't want to be the only one rowing, this is not supposed to be a one man job." Sohyun then turned her back to the other two male.
"Oh well then here," Jeongguk dipped his hand into the water and flicked a handful of water in Taehyung's direction. The water going to his collarbone down his vest and wetting his thighs.
Not to mention the boat slightly tipped when Jeongguk tried to grab the water in his puffy vest. "How's that?"
"Mm, thanks. Nice. Refreshing." Taehyung shook his head, replying in a sarcastic tone. The water wasn't actually bad but now his seat was squeaking every time he moved and felt slightly uncomfortable in his swim trunks.
"Here you guys should really feel it too." Taehyung vengeful started getting both of his hands repeatedly splashing the water towards their direction, the boat teeter tottering on both sides and Sohyun uneasily clutched to the handles of the boat for support.
"Yah Kim! What did I do?" She managed to turn her head over but her whole back side was soaked, even seeped through the jacket.
"He started it!" Taehyung leaned over to one side to have more access to the water as he rapid fired at Jeongguk.
"Can we please stop moving I'm scared this boat is going to tip!"
But the boys didn't listen to her and continue to splash one another with the lake water. Sohyun rolled her eyes and used the paddle she had to splattered them till they were both soaked more than her.
Then Sohyun started to realize how the boat was filling with water and stopped. "If you don't want us to be the next titanic I suggest ya'll stop."
"Okay fine." Taehyung day still and Jeongguk got one last splash in before he turned his back to the front again.
"Finally." She sighed before paddling again, they were on the opposite side from where they need to be so they started rowing back.
"If you tripped us in the water, I would of made sure to trip you on land too... So thank you."
Taehyung eyes widened as he clenched his teeth, Sohyun said it with the sweet tone she normally has but the venom was in the words.
"Let me take a picture." Sohyun said pulling out her waterproof camera that was strapped onto her waist. She faced the camera towards them and without being able to see how they looked smiled towards the camera (at least Taehyung did) when the flash went off.
Sohyun lowered the camera and saw the taken photos and nodded her head, "These are cute." She smiled in approval. The other boys couldn't see the photo that she had taken and didn't bother asking to see.
They made it back on the land without any other issues. The small complaints here from there about their arms getting tired but that was it.
Docking onto the land the boat teetered as they were stepping out one by one.
"So how was it?" The director asked the group as they all got on land. They seemed to nod their head as Taehyung gave the reply, "It was good."
They were all removing their life jackets exposing the boys bare chests and Sohyun in her two piece swimsuit. They all got towels from the Director who noticed that the trio was soaked.
"That's good, are you all understanding the importance of partnership?" They all simultaneously replied with "Yes." Then walked off away.
"Who wants to find a nice place to watch the sunset?" Sohyun perked.
"Sure why not." Taehyung obliged like always.
"I'm good." Jeongguk was trying to walk away but Taehyung grabbed him by the shoulder. "Stay."
Jeongguk just eyed Taehyung before staying still shoving his hands into his pockets. "Fine."
Off in distance they saw a small hill that was higher than ground level. Walking to the top of it, they sat themselves on the grass, the towel long enough to cover their bottoms.
The sun was in perfect view, Sohyun took off her towel to lay it flat on the ground and she laid on it with her hands behind her head.
"What are you doing? I thought you wanted to watch the sunset?" Jeongguk asked looking at her.
"I'm getting some last minute tanning."
"So you just wanted to drag us with you?" Taehyung had his arms behind him on the grass as he laid back.
"Yes." She cheekily smiled and the boys were the ones to watch the sun slowly set.
"It's over." Taehyung said as he watched the last of the yellowish orange sun disappeared.
"What already!" Sohyun sat up, "Dang that was really short." She was disappointed and got up and shook her towel to get off any grass that was on it.
"How long do you think a sunset lasts?" Jeongguk asked already standing from the ground.
"Ah shush Jeon, this is bonding time." She stuck out her tongue at him.
"Lets go inside before they say anything." Taehyung started making his way down the hill, walking down the slope.
They follows behind him and they walked back into the building that was slightly chilly because the AC was on.
Sohyun bid them goodbye before she dashed to the elevator to get back to her room.
🎬
They were wearing their bathing suits still on while they had dinner at the same place outside. Taehyung was walking straight back to his room after eating, going inside the elevator he watched as the door was slowly closing. But a hand squeezed between causing the door to reopen and Jeongguk had joined him in the empty elevator.
Shuffling his way inside, Jeongguk was on one side while Taehyung was on another. They were in awkward silence waiting for the door to close again, no one else joining them.
When the elevator door closed the machine rumbled before starting to move.
"Hey Doll?" The familiar nickname came from Jeongguk's honey voice. Taehyung looked over at him not minding the way he still called him that.
He hummed.
"M'sorry about earlier today." Jeongguk gripped onto the handles on the side of the walls.
"Sorry about what?" There was a lot of things the man should be sorry for but Taehyung was teasing the younger because he knew what he was talking about.
"For being an asshole earlier this morning... It's not just some key chain so you rubbed me the wrong way."
"Then I should be sorry too, I didn't know either." The elevator door opened at their floor and Taehyung was going to walk ahead when Jeongguk pulled him back in the elevator.
"Do you want to go to the lake right now?" Jeongguk asked but it didn't seem like an option as he pressed the lobby button.
"Huh? But it's late? Are we even allowed too?" He looked at Jeongguk's hand that was still on his wrist and back to meet with Jeongguk's almond shaped doe eyes.
"I dunno." A hefty laugh erupted from the pit of his chest and echoed in the elevator. "This is bonding time right?" He mimicked the words of Sohyun from earlier.
Taehyung had this unsettling feeling inside him. He was trying to get Jeongguk to like him and now that he was giving him all this attention he felt a tug at his heart.
Jeongguk wasn't pulling any pranks and he wasn't be a cold-hearted asshole but he was being somewhat genuine?
Taehyung used his free hand to help get his other hand away from Jeongguk who had poker faced intentions.
The doors of the elevator opened to the lobby and they started walking out the building earning the attention of some of the employees. It was already dark outside and they were casually leaving the building, Taehyung couldn't help the sweat the started to form in the palm of his hands as he clutched them.
They were walking side by side, crickets of the night could be heard over in the distance. They walked in their flip flops over to the lake that was in walking distance.
"Why did you want to go to the lake exactly?" Taehyung racked his hand through his long blonde hair that was growing out.
"Because, we didn't really get to swim in it did we?"
"The waters a little gross don't you think?" He asked as they finally reached the lake. The moonlight radiated off the water, the reflection shimmering off the lake.
"It's looks pretty nice to me right now." Jeongguk walks to the dock and bends over to get a closer look. Taehyung then smirks as he pushed Jeongguk off the deck causing him to slip jumping forwards.
Jeongguk's body splashed in the water, a rippling effect coursing to the rest of the lake. Jeongguk comes up to catch air but he desperately was gasping for air and was slapping his hands in the water.
It looked like he couldn't swim....
"Help-" Jeongguk called out his head exchanging from under water to poking his head out for air.
"Oh my god!" That's when Taehyung realized he was actually drowning and he whipped off his flip flops and tossed his towel somewhere and jumped in. His heart was racing a mile a minute as he started to panic seeing the struggling male.
Immersing in the cold water, he pops his head out from the water and grabs Jeongguk by the waist who then stopped splashing.
"Oh my god Jeongguk! Are you okay?" He held onto him with one hand the other treading the water as he kicked his feet under the water.
Jeongguk laughed quietly before breaking out into a loud one. Jeongguk places his hands on Taehyung's shoulders getting a hand to twirl a wet lock around his finger. "Yes." He smiled.
"What the fuck- I thought I pushed you to your death." Taehyung felt the water underneath him moving and it wasn't just because of him treading his feet in the water it was because Jeongguk was too.
"It's no fun...You pushed me so I thought I'd have my pay back." Little droplets of water from Jeongguk's bangs dripped onto his face that had a smile plastered onto it.
"I cant believe you-" Taehyung didn't move away from him, but for some reason Taehyung left his hand to linger around Jeongguk's waist.
They looked into each other eyes intently the moonlight shining in Jeongguk's twinkling ones. Treading in the water Jeongguk patted his arms around him to keep himself afloat while looking at Taehyung mesmerized.
He didn't know if it was the light from the night sky that complimented his features but Jeongguk was drawn into Taehyung's inviting brown eyes. If he only knew that Taehyung was being casted by the same spell looking at Jeongguk.
That small moment of silence created tension between the two and Taehyung brought Jeongguk's body closer by lightly pushing his lower back forwards.
They then suddenly heard rustling coming from the trees and they say a flashlight flickering in their direction.
"Oh shit? Is that security or something?" Taehyung whispered breaking the contact.
"Shh shh." Jeongguk put a finger in front of Taehyung's lips who immediately took it off.
"What time is it? Is it past 10 already?" Taehyung was a bit frantic and Jeongguk took his hand and they quietly swam to the dock grabbing their stuff, which was only Taehyung's because Jeongguk lost his stuff in the water, his towel was even casually floating on top of the water but they didn't bother.
They tried to make minimal noise when they heard a deep raspy voice call, "Is anyone out here?" The flashlights direction changing to the opposite direction they are they slouch their backs as he run the opposite direction of the man with their hands intertwined together.
Taehyung slipped on his flip flops and had the towel around his shoulders. Before they bolted the other direction trying not to make a noise. When the man's light faced their direction Jeongguk pulled Taehyung towards him to hide behind a tree. Jeongguk's bars back collided with the bark of the tree as Taehyung's body was smooshed into Jeongguk's.
"It can't be 10 already?" Taehyung turned around but Jeongguk clasped his hand in front of Taehyung's mouth.
A couple fireflies where roaming around the trees and one of them landed them self on Taehyung's head.
"What?" Taehyung tried to mumble through Jeongguk's hand and moistness made Jeongguk wipe his hand onto his shorts.
"I think he's gone."
"Okay. Cool. But why do you keep looking at my head?" Even while Taehyung tilted his head the firefly remained in his hair.
"There's a firefly in your hair." He tried to mute his laughter.
"Woah there is?" He tilted his head up trying to look at it with the corner of his eye but he couldn't. Eventually the bug had flown away and Taehyung watched it buzz away. "We can go back now right?"
"Yeah but um, I have no shoes." He looked down at his bare feet.
"Oh. Yeah. Right." Taehyung took off his flip flops and offered them to Jeongguk, "You can take mine I don't really need it. Besides, its my fault you kind of lost yours."
"Thanks." He took them and crouched down.
"What are you doing?" Taehyung asked looking at Jeongguk who stayed on the ground.
"Don't need you stepping on twigs and glass do we?" Taehyung just looked at him hesitantly, "You're lucky that I didn't, now get on."
"This is weird." He said getting onto Jeongguk's back which was sturdy and Jeongguk didn't have much trouble picking him up.
"We'll be back before you know it." He said readjusting Taehyung on his back once he was fully standing.
Once they reached the porch of the building Jeongguk slipped off the flip flops and gave them back to Taehyung. "You can have them back but can I take that towel?" Jeongguk asked.
"Sure..." He didn't complain as he saw Jeongguk hang the towel by his waist so from the side it covered the fact Jeongguk was wearing no shoes to staff in the building.
They went up the elevator without a stir and started walking their opposite directions to their rooms, "I had fun." Jeongguk laughed.
"Me too." Taehyung nodded his head.
"Goodnight." Jeongguk said waving before walking into his room and Taehyung bid a wave goodbye back.
When Taehyung walked into his room, he slid his back against the door when then he saw something,
"What the fuck?!"
