The sun rose over the horizons, splashing the skies several hues of pink. Birds were retreating to their repaired homes as we assembled in the square overlooking the Eiffel Tower. "Ooh, look, you're here with the Ladybug looking like the Ladybug!" Chat's counterpart, Claw Noir, teased.

"Hey, she doesn't look bad—" Chat interrupted.

"Aww, that's sweet of you, Chat Noir," Shadybug winked at him, and he turned beet in response.

"What is going on? Am I fourth-wheeling or something?" I asked with a sigh. This earned a snort from our alternate egos.

"Darling, you're the second wheel." Was I this cryptic in the other universe? Oh, wait a second; this was Marinette's alter ego, not mine–

"Ahem." We had forgotten about the man, Betterfly, until he cleared his throat. He shook his head dismissively when we tried apologizing for ignoring him. "Are we going to stay the dawn here?"

"Talking about that, I have a favor to ask, Betterfly. You better conform," Shadybug responded, crossing her arms over her chest in a very Shadybug-like manner; I had hoped she would leave behind intimidating people, oh well.

"What is it?"

"I want you to amokitize me."

It was our turn to exclaim in surprise. "What?!"

However, all she did was frown and tap her feet impatiently. "You heard me. Ladybug's got another universe to visit, and I shall be her portal."

She wanted powers to help. . . me?

As if Chat Noir knew everything that happened between Shadybug and I, he nodded. "Or, you can amokitize me. I think that'd be better. What say you, Shortcake?"

Now he's offering to bear pain as well? Everything for someone like me?

"Huh?!"

All four pairs of eyes were on me. The only clueless one belonged to Claw Noir. "I don't know what y'all are on about, but if the one who helped me out is so desperate, I'm ready to get my paws wet as well." He exchanged glances with my Kitty, who nodded and rubbed his paws in turn.

"Are you ready to visit you-know-where, Ladyette?"

It was early in the dawn in Annecy. Chat and I jumped rooftops under the purple tinged skies.

Annecy was a quaint, small town in France. Much unlike Paris, the rooftops here were smaller and weaker. The town consisted of a comparatively lesser population, who lived in duplex or single houses. Early birds by tradition, the place was starting to wake up. I could even smell breakfast getting started as we hopped through the place.

"Do you remember where you used to live, Ladyette?" I heard Chat's breathless voice from behind me. I gave him a subtle nod.

"I don't remember, but I can lead."

"Well then, I trust your senses, Coco."

Coco? I couldn't beat down the heat rising to my cheeks despite the cold air pinching my face.

We ran past a boulevard, the very same that housed my school, and through a narrow alley that opened up to a residential area. I had a gut feeling that I was getting nearer to my house; the third one on the block, its paint wearing off considerably.

"Here we are," I breathed. Chat was hunched over to the side.

"Do you want me to, you know, come with you?"

I looked away, hesitant. My room would be a mess. Who knows how my body was? The thought of Sapphire and Evergreen was the only thing that drove me to this place.

Chat probably sensed my reluctance, for he spoke up to reassure. "It's totally fine to stay back and get some air though!"

If he was willing to go so far just to keep his limits, he would not judge me, right? "No."

"Pardon?"

"No. You're coming with me, unless you no longer want to. . ." I left my sentence trail off as my eyes traced the building. It was falling apart, but those two still did not care enough to hire someone to fix it.

The warmth of touch against my fingers brought me back to reality. For the slightest second, I thought it was him. "Hey, are you okay?"

I took a step back, and his ears drooped; he released my arm. "I am still up for sticking with you, that is, if you want me."

Who was I kidding? I had someone much better than him, and I was not going to let this one go. "I'm ready."

Chat smiled, and I gave up trying to beat down the fuzzy feeling in my stomach. Right now, my mission was to check in on Sapphire and Evergreen. . .

The window was wide open, letting fresh air in and giving us an easy entry. My eyes set on my old room. Somehow, it looked messier. The curtains were scratched, and papers littered the desk and floor alike.

The door was askew, but something else caught my eye: glowing ocean orbs inspecting us. It held back for a second, before the door flew open and out pounced Sapphire. Before I had a moment to react, she jumped on me, pulling me down to the marble tiles along with her. "Saph—oh, oh my."

My face was getting wet faster than I had expected. The gross thing about that was, I had no idea if it was her saliva or my tears. Either way, I decided it did not matter. My heart was blooming with joy.

"Um, hate to break your reunion, but it would be cool if you could handle that one over there as well. . . I would manly — I mean, gladly — do it but unfortunately, I am a black cat—"

I lifted Sapphire off of me, and placed her on my lap before extending an arm to Evergreen. My baby was growling at my my Kitten, and boy have I not witnessed him fearing for his life.

"Hold on a second." This voice was familiar. In fact, it was too familiar to not recognize. I tore my gaze away from Chat to the person sitting on the bed.
