3RD PERSON POV

(Y/N) Ishimaru, The Ultimate Scholar. Sister to Kiyotaka Ishimaru. In school, the two were well known. Always getting straight A's, following the rules, etc.

But one thing has always stood out with Kiyotaka. His friends. He had loud, rude, troublemaker friends. Which is weird because he's the Ultimate Moral Compass, you'd think that he'd be chasing them down and giving them detention, not being all buddy-buddy with them. And he was friends with maybe the worst troublemaker in the school. Mondo Owada. What else do you expect from a gang leader?

(Y/N) on the other hand, is a quiet girl with very few friends. And most of her friends were either quiet, into books, and stayed out of trouble. But she was friends with THE Byakuya Togami. But you knew it was only because (Y/N) is the only person in that school he could stand.

(Y/N) never interacted with her brother's friends, mostly because whenever they were at her house she would shut herself in her room and study. But one day, when she didn't stay in her room, it changed her life.

A Year And a Half Ago. . .

It was the end of the school day. After going out of the final class of the day (Y/N) headed to her locker. Kiyotaka had walked with (Y/N) over there. His duties were done for the day, so he got to go home with his sister.

"(Y/N), my friends will be coming over later so I can help tutor them. Would you like to join us? And after we will be going to get some food" Kiyotaka asks. "If not, I'll be sure to bring back something for you,"

"O-oh. . . um, but I'll feel out of place with your friends. . . I'll t-think about it," (Y/N) stuttered. (Y/N) and Kiyotaka were complete opposites when it comes to how loud they are. (Y/N) is soft-spoken while her brother can yell so loud it can be heard across the ocean

"Ah! I thought you'd say that. It's just tutoring, but I invited your friend Fujisaki. You can hang out with them if you want, but tutoring them is still open if you change your mind," Kiyotaka says smiling.

(Y/N) nodded and thanked her brother. After the siblings put on their outdoor shoes, both left for their house. Their dad was working late at the station tonight so the house was all to themselves.

"My friends will be here shortly. Chihiro said he'll be late, so if you don't want to hang out with my friends yet, you can go do something," Kiyotaka says smiling. Always looking out for his little sis.

Y/N'S POV

I decided to fold my clothes because I have nothing else to do. I go upstairs to my room and started to fold.

When folding I thought about Kiyotaka's friends. They are gonna be loud and obnoxious. But. . . they really are cute. . . Gah! (Y/N) what are you thinking! You'll be incompatible! They're tough and big and mean totally not your type!

My thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door. "Oh no . ." I whisper to myself. I quickly put away my clothes and quietly walk to the stairs and watch the door from afar. Quietly peeping.

Mondo's POV

I knocked on the door to Kiyotaka's place. Leon stood next to me running a hand through his hair. I wondered if I'd get to see Taka's sister. I saw them talking one day and asked if they were dating the next day. Turns out they were siblings.

A few seconds after, the door flies open and I see Kiyotaka standing there. He had a smile on his face. "Bro!" He says cheerfully. The two of us hug and laugh. When we let go he led us to his living room and sat us down. I looked around. This place to really neat and clean. Kiyotaka excused himself and went upstairs. Probably to get his homework.

When he returned, he had his homework. And something else. "Who's she?" Leon asked pointing to the girl he had next to him. She looked really shy like she didn't introduce herself. It was adorable.

"My sister! Say hello (Y/N)!" Kiyotaka says smiling. He gave her a comforting pat on the back to encourage her to speak.

"H-hi. . . I-I'm (Y/N) I-Ishimaru. . ." She said in a soft-spoken voice and man was that cute.

"Name's Mondo Owada," I say

"Leon Kuwata," Leon says

"You can tutor Mondo while I'll tutor Leon!" Kiyotaka says.

(Y/N) went to my side and says, "W-what homework do you need help on?"

"Math," I say. "I hate math. I hate school. I only go because Kiyotaka will hold it over my head forever" I thought out loud

"Hey! I wouldn't do that!" Kiyotaka yells.

"Did I say that out loud?" I say. My face turning red in embarrassment.

I look over at (Y/N) and she nods. Trying to hold in a laugh.

I facepalm and groan.

TIME SKIP

After finally finishing that dumb homework and Chihiro hacking to get us free video games online, we head to the store.

I looked over to my left and I see (Y/N). It was getting cold out so she had a red scarf around her neck. She slightly pulled that scarf to cover her, perfect, soft-looking, kissable, -WAIT WHAT AM I THINKING!? I just think she's cute, nothing else! Totally not my type.

We FINALLY get to the store. It was only a few minutes but it felt like forever. We walk in and open the door and we hear the ring of a bell. An employee at the counter looked at us and rolled her eyes. She looked like she didn't want to be here.

I go right up to her and ask for a box of cigarettes. She doesn't even ask for my age or ID or anything, she just doesn't care.

"Mondo! That's bad for your health!" Kiyotaka yells.

I roll my eyes as (Y/N) slipped past me to pay for her things. A bunch of strawberry candy and pocky. Sweet things for a sweet girl.

I walked out of the store. And later (Y/N) joins me. I took out a lighter and a cigarette and start smoking. I exhale a ring of smoke as a feel a pair of eyes on me.

I looked down a bit and I see (Y/N) looking at me. She seemed so interested in what I was doing. "You want to try one?" I asked her.

Her eyes light up. "Yes! I know it's bad, but one isn't bad for you is it? Plus it seems so cool!"

I chuckle and hand her one.

She stared at it. A bit nervous. "Light my cigarette." She said.

And I did so.

I've been dating (Y/N) for a year now, today is our one year anniversary. Even if at times, Kiyotaka doesn't approve, he still is happy for us. Tonight we have a date and I couldn't be more excited.

So I lied to my mom and dad
And jumped the fence and I ran

I told my brother that I was going to go on a motorcycle ride around the city, which was a lie. He didn't know what I was saying (Y/N). If he knew that I was, he'd probably embarrass me in front of her. When got to (Y/N)'s house. They opened the door and hugged me. She waved bye to her parents and brother and went to her car.

But we couldn't go very far

So you sat and stared at my lips
And I could already feel your kiss

She tried opening it but to her dismay, it was locked. And her keys were inside the car. She sighed and looked up at me. And stared at my lips. Just by her looking at me I could feel her lips on mine.

Long nights, daydreams
Sugar and smoke rings, I've been a fool
But strawberries and cigarettes always taste like you

I could tell it's gonna be a long night. I told her, "Let's just go on my motorcycle. It's gonna be fine"

She looked uneasy but that went away and she nodded. And she kissed me. She tasted sweet like sugar and strawberries but I tasted a hint of cigarettes.

We pulled away and I got on my bike. She went behind me and wrapped her arms around me. She would be safe.

We started riding.

Headlights, on me
Racing to sixty, I've been a fool
But strawberries and cigarettes always taste like

The headlights of the cars were just blurry lines to me as I sped the motorcycle up. As the speed increased, (Y/N)'s around held me tighter. We planned to go to the place I first asked her out. It was the convenience store where she smoked her first cigarette. And it's the place where first realized that I loved her.

I sped up and (Y/N) screamed in joy, I smirked and chuckles. We kept racing through the streets of Japan until we finally got to the store. I parked my motorcycle and we both got off. I held her hand and we walked in.

Blue eyes, black jeans
Lighters and candy, I've been a fool
But strawberries and cigarettes always taste like you

The light of the store gave me a better view of how she looked. And she looked stunning. Her (E/C) shimmered and her (H/C) hair was curled. She wore a white shirt with a leather jacket and black jeans.

"Damn, you look beautiful. . ." I say to her

She blushed and says, "T-Thank you!"

I chuckled and we walk through the store eying all the candy and sweets. Ever since we met I got her kind of into cigarettes and she got me into sweets. Now I'm a sucker for sweets. Maybe that's why I love her so much. She's the sweetest girl I've ever met. She helps tutor me and a bunch of other students, she helps out around the school, and so much more.

(Y/N) snapped me out of my thoughts and held up a box of strawberry candies and pocky. I chuckled and take them and start walking over to the counter. I take out my money and I ask for a lighter. The person at the counter give me that and I pay.

(Y/N)'s hand touched mine and oh much I wanted to just drop everything and kiss her. I resist and head outside. We go to the little alley beside the store and I take out my cigarettes. I hand her one and we start smoking. Even though (Y/N) doesn't smoke that much, she still likes it once in a while to release stress and for the thrill of it. Her brother highly despises it being the Ultimate Moral Compass and all, but (Y/N) is a scholar. When she is not in school, she is laid back. Even though she is shy, when you get used to her, she is really outgoing and sweet.

She stopped smoking and sighs. She took her box of pocky and started eating it. She gasps and had a huge smile on her face. "Wanna play the pocky game?" She asks

"W-What's that?" I ask, hoping it's something nice.

"We bite on each side of the pocky and eat towards the center and. . . You'll see!" (Y/N) says smirking.

I blushed and say, "F-Fine. The end better be good or I swear to god (Y/N)."

(Y/N) smiled and grabs a pocky stick and puts one side in her mouth. She looks up at me and I bend down to her level. I place my mouth on the other side of the pocky stick. I stare into her eyes and we start eating towards the center. Our faces were inches apart. I finally understood what she meant. We were going to kiss. I blush brightly and close my eyes, ready for our lips to touch. But they never did. I hear a light giggle and open my eyes. (Y/N) was backed away laughing, apparently she bit her piece of and left me with the rest of it. She laughs and holds her stomach.

"You fell for it!" (Y/N) laughs and points at me.

I growl and grab her by her wrists and pins her to the alley wall. "My turn to tease~"

(Y/N) starts to tremble under my grasp and I kiss her. I tasted the familiar taste of artificial strawberry and cigarettes. The kiss lasted a few more seconds until I pulled away. I stared at her neck and I start to smirk. I start to kiss her neck lightly.

(Y/N) kept trembling under me until I let her go. Her face was bright pink. And her neck had a small mark. Just so people know she is mine when we go to school. I see countless guys trying to flirt with her. But now, they'll know that she is not available.

I smile and say, "Now, people will know you are mine and only mine~"

(Y/N) gulps and nods. She grabs my hand and says, "It's getting pretty late, we should go now."

I nod and we start heading back to her house.

When we get there, I walked her to her front door. I bent down a little and I gave her a little kiss.

Suddenly the front door bursts open, Kiyotaka was there, "STOP RIGHT THERE PDA IS AGAINST THE RULES!"

"Takaaaaa you ruined the moment!" (Y/N) says giggles

"I should go before your brother yells my ears off." I say chuckling.

She nods and kissed my cheek. I start running to my bike and set off.

"MONDO OWADA I AM GOING TO GET YOU FOR THIS!!!" I hear Kiyotaka yelling. I chuckle and sigh happily. Tonight was amazing.

[Extra Ending!]

(Y/N)'S POV

I sat in my room and sighed happily. I love Mondo so much. . .

My thoughts were interrupted by my brother busting into my room his arms crossed. "I see that on your neck you know." He says in a low voice, careful now to wake the neighbors.

"Oh shoot" I say and cover my neck.

"What did you two do hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm?" He asks raising an eyebrow.

"He wanted boys to stop flirting, so he marked me as his own." I say casually.

"As long as it didn't go to disgusting things, its fine. Just be careful. You are my sister and I want you to be happy. AND DON'T DO IT IN PUBLIC!" Kiyotaka says, crossing his arms at the end.

"No promises!" I say giggling.

He gasps and I laugh.

"Im kidding. I will never. I'm a scholar and I will not let that ruin my reputation!" I say.

"Good, now get some rest. We have school tomorrow and being late is not an exception!" Kiyotaka says.

"Okay. Good night bro" I say and hug him.

"Good night sis" Kiyotaka says with a smile and hugs back.

I rustle his hair and he stands up and leaves. I climb under my blankets and I fall asleep thinking of Mondo and how our kisses taste like strawberries and cigarettes.
