I Can't Deal with Feelings
Sally woke me up for my second day of school, and I asked myself who in the gods names would want to get up this earlier for something so pointless. I wondered if school was invented to trap kids in a big building, so that adults wouldn't have to deal with kids shit for eight hours.
"Are you okay?" Sally asked, bringing me out of my thoughts. I nodded, following her into the kitchen where she had made breakfast.
I was amused by the fact that Percy actually fell asleep at the table- that seemed like a rather impressive feat to me. Sally smiled at him softly, before shaking him awake and setting a plate of blue food in front of him. She also set some of the blue food in front of me.
I studied the bumpy, uneven and circle-like item. I had never seen it before, and it fascinated me- who knew the things people can make. I picked it up, but dropped it because I wasn't expecting it to be warm. My fascination grew even more.
"Are you gonna eat your waffles?" Percy asked me, looking extremely amused. I glanced at him confused, asking him what a waffle was with my eyes. His mouth fell open in surprise, before he closed it and looked extremely mad that I didn't know what a waffle was. Percy pointed at the food on my plate, telling that was a waffle. I nodded in thanks, before nibbling on the waffle.
It was surprisingly delicious, and I would've eaten more than half, but then I would've probably puked from too much food. I wandered back into the room I was staying in, and went through the process of changing my clothes- apparently people don't approve when you wear the same things everyday.

Percy lead the way into the school. I followed behind him, feeling even more unsure of what to than yesterday. It turns out that Calypso was a friend of Percy's because she greeted him and was previously chatting with Annabeth. When she spotted me, she said that it was good to see me, making me confused- why would it be good to see people? I changed from following Percy, to following Calypso because at least she knew where our classes were.
She copied the teacher... note taking, I believe it was called. I still didn't understand the point of co... notes because they seemed pointless. Calypso told me to go ahead and go by myself to our next class, due to the fact that she had to talk to the teacher. I huffed and headed out into the confusion that had swept through the hallways. I was going in the direction I thought the classroom was, only guessing because I had no clue where the heck I was going.
Someone bumped into me, almost making me fall down. I turned to the person, ready to glare at the person until that person ran off with fear in their heart. My glare caught in my eyes, and they melted into recognition. It seemed like only yesterday we where playing in his backyard, back when I could laugh and trust. I searched his eyes, trying to find some sort of recognition. My breath caught when I found none.
I was ashamed to say that tears pooled up in my eyes, and I sprinted away from him, out of the school trying to escape what I couldn't. When I got to a bench in some park, I sat down feeling extremely numb. I thought that our friendship meant something, that I wasn't so easy to forget. My head hung low, eyes squeezed shut, trying to stop myself from crying. I knew better than to dream that someday we could be the friends we once were, but I let myself, only to let myself down. People change- I was a perfect example. We weren't the kids who were best friends anymore; we were strangers that didn't know two bits about the other person.
"Sweetie, what's wrong?" Kymopoleia asked, wrapping an arm around me. I broke down completely, or as completely that I could get- just silent tears and slight shaking. I stayed wrapped in Kymopoleia's embrace, feeling safer and more protected from my problem. She spoke again, barely above a whisper, "Sweetie?"
"He d... doesn't rem.... remember me." I whisper quietly, hiccuping slightly through my sentence. More tears escaped my eyes, and I felt so stupid for letting this get to me. Kympopoleia didn't even bat an eyelash, just pulled me closer and held me tighter, murmuring comfort to me. The more we stayed like that, the drowsier I became, so I let sleep claim me.

I woke up to hear my name being faintly called in the distance. I roused myself more and wondered what time it was, then earlier came crashing down on me. I let out a sigh of sadness, refusing to let the situation make me cry anymore.
"It seems as if someone is looking for you." Kymopoleia said, pointing out the obvious. "Do you think it's him?"
I shook my head, picking up on the voice a bit more. I couldn't place it, until I saw Percy and Annabeth run through a patch of trees. Both of them were glancing around, looking extremely antsy. When they caught sight of me, I could see relief fill them up. However, when they caught sight of who I was sitting with, Percy almost face planted (Annabeth caught him and stopped it).
"You two know each other?" Percy asked in a strange sounding voice. I nodded, not understanding his reaction. "How?"
"Since she was four, Perseus." Kymopoleia responded. I glanced between them, not understanding how the heck they knew each other. Honestly, what's up with people suddenly knowing other people and keeping me out of the loop, so rude.
"Uh, you two?" I asked, wanting them to expand on what they're avoiding.
"I met her in the middle of the ocean, and my friend told her he'd assist her." Percy said awkwardly, obviously leaving somethings out. Realization coursed through me as I realized that it must've been Percy and his friend that she mention to about two months ago- Kymopoleia said that she'd finally get some recognition, which was good for her (she also said action figures, but I don't believe that).
"Thank you." I said with so much sincerity, it caused Percy to look at me in surprise, and Annabeth to look at me with extremely curiosity.
"Have you been here this entire time?" Percy asked, "We've been looking for you all over."
I nodded, and Percy sighed in relief, seemingly happy that I was in one place. I wondered how long they were looking for me. A hand touches my shoulder, and I turn to see Kymopoleia hold out her arms for a hug. I fell back into her arms, happy to have the familiarity of it. She pulled back, gave me a comforting look and disappeared in a poof.
I turned back to Percy and Annabeth to see their flabbergasted looks- I guess they weren't used to seeing people go poof. Although if Percy happened to meet Kymopoleia in the ocean, then- at least- he knows about people going proof. Maybe they were surprised 'cause I wasn't surprised, I could only guess.
"Uhh, let's go?" Percy's statement came out more like a question, due to his previous surprise. I followed after them dutifully.
