tbh, i feel like this story is not getting updated as much as hate me used to get updated because this story is really focused on the storyline and i cant handle lmao

"how's it like in la?" raymond tuan asked his kids as he drove them home.

"its good," joey said, but the tone of his voice didn't really match his answer.

raymond nodded his head, knowing that his son was not telling the truth.

"what about you mark? how's life treating you?"

mark started fidgeting with his hands, not knowing what to say.

"fine," he simply answered.

raymond sighed quietly, disappointed that mark wasn't telling the truth.

both him and his wife already knew that something was wrong as soon as joey told them they were coming home.

of course they were ecstatic that their two sons were going back home in korea, but they knew it wasn't just because they were feeling homesick.

mark never did.

because the memories haunted him too much.
