Chara and I helped Asriel find the ingredients for the buttercups. Toriel is going to help us bake them too. I grabbed the butter, Chara grabbed the custard, and Asriel brought flour and eggs. We place them on the table and watch as Toriel took the ingredients. Asriel takes my hand.

"C'mon! Let's go play together."

I smile and look at Chara.

"Come play with us Chara!"

She puts her hands up and shakes her head. "You guys go play first. I'll go catch up." I shrug my shoulders and followed Asriel out of the kitchen.

*Chara's P.O.V*

I watch as Asriel and (Y/n) run out of the kitchen to go play. Toriel looks at me and smiles. "Are you going to watch me cook?" I smile the best I could. "Mhm!" She smiles and pats my head. She pours in the flour, butter, vanilla extract, milk, and eggs. She mixes them together with a spoon to prepare it for the oven. I tug on her dress.

"Can I get my own bowl and make buttercups too?"

She smiles at me. "Of course my child!" I smile and poured a small amount of batter in my small bowl. When she wasn't looking, I take a pocketful of poisonous golden flowers and poured them into the bowl. I make sure to crush them so it wouldn't be visible. The batter turned much lighter and I pour it in the cupcake molds.

Toriel looks at my batter and becomes a bit confused. "Your batter looks slightly lighter than mine." I knew she would say that and said, "Yeah, I wanted to make it look pretty and added yellow food coloring to it. She smiles, "I see. Who are you going to give these lovely buttercups to?" I smirk and look at my sister playing with Asriel in the living room.

"My sister."

*(Y/n)'s P.O.V*

I played with Asriel for a while and hear the oven make a sweet bell noise from the kitchen. "Hey Asriel, I think they're done making buttercups!"

Asriel sniffs and smiles brightly. "Yeah! I smell them too!" We rush into the kitchen to see Toriel taking out the buttercups from the oven. She places it on the counter to cool. She smiles and pats both of our heads, "Chara made some for you too. We have so much that we should simply invite everyone to try them."

I smile brightly at her, "Who's going to come over?" She taps her chin and her eyes suddenly brighten up. "Perhaps we should invite everyone in the Underground." I raise my hands in the air and accidentally bump into Chara. "S-sorry!" Chara slowly turns around, but instead of glaring she smiles. "It's ok."

She's acting really weird it scares me. "Hey Chara, did you hit your head or something?" She continues to smile and innocently puts her hand behind her back. "No, I'm just really happy to bake the buttercups." She points towards me. "I've made a special buttercup for you too."

Something was definitely wrong with her, but it's so nice to see her like this. Maybe the Underground is changing Chara to become a better person. Toriel claps her hands together. "Alright children. Change into some nice clothes. Monsters will be coming soon."

We all wore green shirts with a single yellow stripe through it. Monsters were already in the ballroom eating buttercups and dancing. All of us stepped out and the crowd from below looked up. Asgore spreads his arms out wide and announces a small speech, "My fellow monsters! Tonight, we have a very special guest with us. Chara and (Y/n). These humans will help us finally get out of the Underground and up to the surface. Please treat them kindly."

Everyone in the ballroom claps and my eyes were wide with fascination. This ballroom looks like something from a fairytale. A short skeleton suddenly walks up the steps towards Asgore and Toriel. He bows deeply. "Your highnesses." They both smile. Toriel gently handshakes him. "Where is your brother Sans?" The so-called Sans looks over to the table to see Papyrus talking to Undyne, the current captain of the royal guards. He was a very tall and jolly looking skeleton. He seemed to be enjoying the buttercups.

Sans looks towards me and Chara. He closes an eye and gives us both a handshake each. "It's very nice to meet you both. I'm Sans. Sans the skeleton." Chara looks at him with amusement. "Nice to meet you Sans. I'm Chara." I shake his hand next, "I'm (Y/n)." A song began to play and he looks over to see Asgore and Toriel going down the steps to dance. He looks back at us. "Would one of you care to dance?"

Chara pushes me towards him. "I'm going to dance with Asriel first." Sans takes my hand. He leads me down the steps and onto the ballroom floor.

He takes my hand and wraps his arms around my back. I take my hand and hold on to his shoulder and his hand. We swayed to the music and twist and turned and spun. I was smiling just dancing and seeing Asgore and Toriel have fun. Everyone was smiling and it wanted to make me smile. I see Chara and Asriel dancing and also having fun. When Chara and I made eye contact, she only smiles and sticks her tongue out. I laugh because of the face she made.

"Havin' fun?" I turn to see Sans smiling. I smile back, "Mhm!" He seemed to look at Chara, but something in his eyes told me that he doesn't seem to like her all that much. He looked back as if he didn't see anything and picks me up, spinning me in the air. I spread my arms out wide and giggle. He sets me back down and we began to spin. Everyone stops to look at Toriel and Asgore dance at the middle of the floor. Sans and I stop too so we could watch too. Sans releases my hand and says that he has to go check on his brother.

I nod and smile. He disappears through the crowd as if he was in a hurry. He must really care for his brother a lot. I feel a tap on my shoulders and see Chara carrying a single buttercup in her hands with a golden petal on top. She hands it to me smiling, "Here! I made it just for you." I take the buttercup in my hand and smell its sweet fragrance. "This smells really good Chara!" The smile she made almost looked like a smirk. "Try it." She looked over to Asgore and seemed to panic when Asgore got a buttercup similar to mine.

She rushes through the crowd and I bit into my butterscotch. It was very sweet and delicious. I was going to get another bite, but someone slaps it out of my hand. I look to see Asgore on the floor where he fainted and the monsters around us began to murmur and whisper. I also see Sans. He grabs me by the shoulder and looked at me with intense eyes.

"Did you just take a bite out of that?!"

I look at the buttercup on the floor that was now splattered. I nod, "Chara gave it to me and-" My head suddenly rings and I slump in his arms. Sans clutches onto me.

"Hey kid!"

I cover my mouth with my hands and cough out a lot of blood. All the monsters turned to look at me this time. Toriel shouted to the guards to secure every door and had some nurses take me and Asgore to the medical room.

*Asriel's P.O.V*

I waited outside with my mom. I hope my dad is ok. Chara just sat there looking at the doors. I walk over to her. "Are you worried about your sister?" She responds with a no which shocked me. "Why wouldn't you be worried for her?! She's your sister!" She looked at me with tars in her eyes. She looked at the floor. "(Y/n) has been sick for a long time now. With that poison, I'm not sure she'll be alive. . . " I hug her and say, "Just have hope for her. Just hope she'll be alright."

*Chara's P.O.V*

I wrap my arms around Asriel and wipe my fake tears. I could care less for that little weakling. I know she's not going to make it. It's so obvious. She been sick and poison will just kill her quicker. At least she'll stay out of my way. The doors fly open and Asriel and Toriel ran in. I followed them from behind and didn't see (Y/n). The nurse told Toriel that Asgore would be just fine, but (Y/n) wouldn't make it. Toriel cries in her hands and drops to her knees. "Please, isn't there anything we can do to help her?"

The nurse shakes her head. "I'm afraid not your highness. We've tried every tonic, but she's just too weak to get back up." The nurse points to another door leading to the room. "She is in there if you want to see her." Toriel and Asriel were the first to go in the room before me. Toriel closed her hands around my little sister's and kissed her forehead telling her that everything is going to be alright. Asriel was telling her that when she gets better, we would play together again.

They stayed for a good amount of time until it was time to leave. I wait until they both close the door. Asriel looks back at me. "Are you going to stay here longer." I mustered up the saddest expression. "Y-yeah." He closes the door and I smirk. I walk over to her where there was a machine that was enscribed with the words 'life support'. This was keeping her alive.

I hear her stir and open her eyes to see me. She holds her head and winces. "Chara, what did you put in that buttercup?" I sit at the side of her bed and smirk. "Oh y'know, a little bit of poisonous petals." Her eyes seem to widen. "Y-you knew? Why would you do this?" I place my hand around her neck. "Because your getting in my way. I hate you with every inch of my soul."

I wrap my hands around the chords of the life support. Her tears dripped down her cheeks. "Chara please . . ." I tighten my grip around it. "Chara. . ." I look at her and tugged the chords out of the machine and her eyes close. The machine shuts down and the heart monitor didn't show any signs of her heart beating. I throw the chords on the floor and step out of the room

"Goodbye (Y/n)."
