Location: Omkara's room, Oberoi Mansion, Mumbai.

As they calmed their breaths after the intense make out, Omkara still hovering above his wife asked "So, you are Ms. Sherni?"

Gauri looked at her husband with wide eyes. Great!! is there anybody who doesn't know that she is Shivaay's sister? Poor job she did in hiding things.

"How did you find out Omkaraji? Is that the reason why you stayed away?"

"That is not the answer to my question Gauri" he deadpanned.

"Uhh... Yes" she answered meekly.

"Why did you hide it from me?"

"I.... I had my reasons" she said not looking at him.

Omkara held her face in his hand making her look at him.

"Exactly... what are those reasons?"

She thought for a moment and said "Listen to me completely before you come to a decision Omkaraji. I'm trusting you now. Promise me that you will not interfere even if you don't agree with me"

Omkara nodded is head in a yes and she told him everything. How she and Abhay came to know about Shivaay's mission, what he was after, the falsified facts regarding Shivaay's death, how they thought that Shakti Khurana was involved in his death and how they planned to get those files.

Gauri saw the change of expression on her husband's face from surprise to anger and finally disbelief.

"Bullshit. Shakti sir will never harm Shivaay Gauri. He was like a son to him" said Omkara.

"Really? Then why did he lie? Abhay clearly told me that Shiv Bhaiyya talked to him that day and he was not with your Shakti sir. He said he could track bhaiyya on the morning of 14th October while the accident was declared to happen on the midnight of 13th October."

Omkara thought for a while before answering "I agree I found him unnecessarily intruding in my case too but I know him since I was a child Gauri. He is one of the sincerest police officers I came across. He will never do anything that will compromise anybody's safety. There is more to this than meets the eye. I don't like you snooping around searching for confidential files" he stated.

"What do you suggest we do then Omkaraji? Ask him directly? If he can say that directly wouldn't he have confided in you by now? You said he may not harm Shivaay directly but what if he were under some threat? That might be the reason why he lied too. Don't you think? We need the files to know the answers to those questions" she completed while Omkara still looked uncertain.

His mind in a different thought all together. "Was he really under some threat? Is that the reason why he is being adamant on removing him from the case to hand it over to Mukesh? And most important of them all "Is there a connection between Nisha's case and Shivaay's death?"

Gauri looked at her husband in thought "I know you are close to him. That is the reason I choose to keep this to myself. You already hate my brother for hurting you and I didn't want you to get involved in something that reminds you of him" she said "I wasn't planning on being a super woman of course by doing it all by myself but we wanted some solid evidence to prove that Shakti sir indeed is involved in bhaiyya's death so that we could take your help" she explained.

"I don't hate him Gauri. I was hurt yes, but I can never hate him. He was my best friend and whatever he did was for my good. I understand it now" explained Omkara and Gauri spoke with tears in her eyes "I'm sorry that you had to go through that. He did it for me and my mother."

Omkara hugged her as she cried remembering her brother. He would be so happy knowing that she is happily married to the man he choose for her and her husband doesn't hate him for his misdeed she thought.

"I'm sorry that you had to go through it alone Gauri. I know how close he was to you. I tried looking for you but we could find nothing about him in the records. Bhavya searched for you relentlessly for one whole year and ended up with nothing."

"I wasn't alone Omkaraji. I had Abhi with me" she said looking at him.

"Abhay means more than a friend to me Omkaraji. He was my pillar of strength that I could hold on to when I was all alone. He was there with me when I was at the lowest point in my life after Shiv bhaiyya's death. That is why I am so attached to him. After Shiv bhaiyya if I could trust anybody with my eyes closed, it would be him" she said and saw her husband making a face.

She giggled a said "That was until I married you Omkaraji. Thank you for giving me a family I always wished for. Jhanvi maa ji, Rudy bhaiyya, Bhavya, everyone has given me nothing but love" caressing his cheek her eyes still glistening with tears.

Omkara kissed them away "You can thank me in more interesting ways" he said tracing her bare shoulder with his finger and she looked at him mischievously "Are you expecting a bribe to do your job Omkaraji? Isn't it the job of a husband to give a loving family to his wife? Typical police wale hai aap."

"I don't mind being a typical policeman then" he said huskily pulling her naked body to himself making her gasp "On the other hand it is your job as my wife to see that your husband is well satisfied" he concluded before capturing her mouth in another soul shattering kiss followed by many others.

Location: Abhay's flat, Mumbai.

Omkara entered Abhay's flat along with his wife and looked at the interiors. He wanted to talk to him before he went for work that day.

"Hi" greeted Abhay formally and he replied the same with a nod of his head.

Gauri looked at the two men avoiding each other's gaze and rolled her eyes. Men and their ego.

"Omkaraji I forgot to put my phone on charge last night. I will keep it in the study and come back you both talk till then" she said and went away giving them privacy.

When a minute passed and no one attempted to talk, Gauri shouted from the study "Omkaraji I will be back in ten minutes. You both can start talking by then. I will join you."

Omkara sighed. He doesn't hate the man but he doesn't like the fact that his wife likes him. However he decided to be as civil as possible.

"Umm.. I'm sorry for the other day. I had a bad day at office and I burst out in the wrong place at the wrong time" he apologized and Abhay smiled nodding his head.

"I know you don't like me Omkara" he said laughing "But I like that you are making effort. No worries I won't disturb you until it is necessary"

Omkara gave a genuine smile this time. He is smart and a no-nonsense type. Hard to not like him he thought.

"So, when do you plan the visit to Shakti sir's house? I will go with her so that Shakti sir will be distracted and her work becomes easy" asked Omkara.

"Any time is okay. We now don't need to plan everything since you know what is going on. I was worried that Gauri would do something that might catch your attention which in turn leads to you suspecting her" explained Abhay.

Omkara nodded "Okay, I wanted to ask you something related to Shivaay's death" and Abhay looked at him in question.

"Gauri said that you were able to locate Shivaay's location on the morning of October 14th near Udhewadi. Where exactly in Udhewadi?"

"It was at an abandoned fort...umm... I think the name is Shayadri fort" said Abhay and Omkara looked at him in disbelief.

It was the place where Nisha's body was found. Did he miss anything there? No...It can't be... he made sure the place was thoroughly checked for any possible evidence and they could find none except for broken chairs and empty rooms. However it was indeed a remote possibility that they could find anything there given that Shivaay's accident happened two years ago. But it is not impossible that both of the cases were somewhere related.

Looking at Omkara's expression Abhay couldn't help ask "What happened? Any problem?"

Omkara shook his head "The case I am currently working on is about a young girl and we found her in the same place that you just mentioned" he explained and Abhay .

"Is there a possibility that Shivaay's phone alone reached the place. I mean someone could have took his phone there and used it right"

Abhay nodded his head "Yeah that is a possibility."

"Okay, let us see if I can find out anything. It was nice meeting you Abhay. I will leave now" said Omkara forwarding his hand and Abhay took it with a smile.

"Umm... the study is that side if you want to tell Gauri before you leave" informed Abhay and Omkara went in the direction of the room.

Gauri was watching something on her phone when Omkara hugged her from behind and kissed her neck.

Gauri smiled and turned around giving him a cheek kiss.

"We will go to Shakti sir's house in the evening. Be ready" informed Omkara and Gauri nodded a yes.

"I have to leave now Mrs. Oberoi, give me a proper kiss" said Omkara and Gauri looked behind him.

"Omkaraji not now... Abhi can come inside" she said.

"No he will not. He is smart enough not to intrude. Now come on" he urged and she complied.

When the kiss lasted longer, she pushed her husband away giggling "Go now" she said.

Omkara smiled at her and giving a final peck, left the place.

Location: CB-CID, Mumbai.

"No sir, we checked every corner of the fort that day. There cannot be any mistake in that. I personally checked the reports involving Shayadri fort" said Abhishek.

Omkara nodded his head "I know I checked it too. But Abhay was sure about the location. It might be possible that Shivaay's accident was somehow connected to Nisha's case" he said.

"Dandi are you sure about the ownership of the fort too? Was there any doubt regarding it and was there any other case which is remotely related to the place?" asked Omkara "It might be a possibility that such abandoned buildings might be used for shady work."

Dandi nodded his head in a no "There wasn't any reported case related to the place sir. Not official at least" he said.

"Umm... sir, if you don't mind me asking who is Abhay?" asked Abhishek.

"He is Gauri and Shivaay's friend from Bareilly" replied Omkara evasively.

"Ohh is that the guy you fought with in the restaurant that day sir" asked Dandi and Omkara glared at him.

Dandi squirmed "Umm.. sorry sir I only heard his name when you were roaring. I didn't get to see him" he said disappointed. "That was so thoughtful of him to track the location or no one would have doubted the details of Shakti sir's statement. Isn't he smart sir? May be we can work together someday and he might become your friend too" he concluded smiling.

Omkara gave a cold look at Dandi and said, "Aren't you interfering too much into my personal life Dandi?"

Dandi began to hide behind Abhishek fearing his boss while Abhishek tried not to smile.

"Enough of chit chat. Get back to work you two" ordered Omkara and his juniors did just that.

Location: Khurana House, Mumbai.

"Bhaisaab you should bring Priyanka home soon after her exams" said Jhanvi. "She didn't get to see my son's marriage. I know you are missing her too. Why can't she come on a vacation in between her studies. I don't understand how you did not let her come home even once in these two years"

"It is finally over Jhanvi" said Shakti looking at her enthusiastically. "My daughter is coming back to me" he said.

"Really? When is that?" asked Jhanvi.

"In a day or two" he informed smiling. "She is done with her exams and I asked her to return to me"

Jhanvi was happy at the news while Omkara and Gauri smiled at them.

"Uncle, may I use the washroom?" asked Gauri and Shakti nodded at her getting up from his place to show her the direction.

"Uncle I will show her the place. U and mom can continue talking" said Omkara and Shakti nodded.

"Are you done with it yet Gauri?" whispered Omkara huskily into her ears.

Gauri was sitting, working on the computer to get the files while Omkara stood behind her watching out for any trouble. However, he was having a fun time teasing her while she worked nervously.

"Omkara ji" she glared at him "Get out now. I am already tensed here and you are distracting me having your fun."

"Relax Gauri" he said laughing "I find you extremely sexy when you are working looking at the computer screen with a serious face. I can't help it" he teased again and she slapped his arm.

"Ok...ok..." he laughed. "I was just trying to ease you. You look really anxious"

"Abhi said it hardly takes fifteen minutes to copy and this thing isn't complete yet" she said looking at him doubtfully.

"When you are at any work especially tasks like snooping around, you need to keep your mind as calm as possible Gauri. It is one of the most important rule that we are taught in our training" he explained patiently. "It has been only ten minutes that we came here. It will be done in another five minutes don't be nervous. You will raise Shakti sir's suspicion if you look like that."

"Good that the study is near to the washroom. Even if he comes looking for us I can get us through without suspicion. Don't worry" he assured her.

Gauri looked at him confused and asked "How?"

At that moment, both of them heard footsteps approach and Gauri looked at her husband alarmed. Omkara just smiled while pulling her out of the chair. "Now to answer your question, it is simple" he said before capturing her lips with his.

Gauri leaned into him and kissed him back understanding his plan. After a while when they heard the footsteps recede, she pushed him away.

"You are shameless Omkaraji" she said and he laughed "Great discovery" he countered before he pecked her.

"Now let us see if your work is done" he said while looking at the computer screen and smiled seeing the task completed.

At Abhay's flat

After having dinner at Shakti's house Omkara left the place citing the excuse of work leaving his mother along with his wife behind and none complained.

He reached Abhay's house with the data and Abhay at once got into work. As they read through various files, his attention was caught by one particular case.

"This is the last case that your father worked on Omkara" started Abhay. "Shivaay said that Tej sir and Gauri's father were working on bringing down one secret organization to justice. That was the reason Gauri's father was away from his family for so many years" informed Abhay and Omkara nodded sinking in the new information.

"What is this organization? Didn't Shivaay tell you about it?" asked Omkara and Abhay nodded in a no.

"He said it is better if I don't know about it and also about Gauri's father saying it was for safety. He was so sure he could solve it as he had all the evidence with Gauri's father's help. He was planning to submit it then but he couldn't. That is why I couldn't believe that Shivaay could die in an accident. The organization he was after must have known about him and killed him Omkara" said Abhay to a seething Omkara.

"Why couldn't he let me help damn it. What was the need to do everything alone" Omkara growled.

"He said you would be overcome by emotions" said Abhay suddenly feeling uncomfortable.

"What do you mean by that?" asked Omkara and Abhay was silent avoiding his gaze.

"Abhay I am asking you something" Omkara asked with an edge to his tone not getting a response.

"Because.....u... because your dad was killed by that very organization Omkara" said Abhay and Omkara saw red.

"Tej sir was betrayed by one of his team members named Manohar who was bribed by the gang. This entire game was to end long back and Gauri's father was to return to his family once the organization is brought under custody. But Tej sir's well planned attack failed at the last minute and the gang went unharmed. However, Manohar was killed in the same attack that day along with your dad" said Abhay and put a comforting hand on Omkara who was visibly shaking in anger.

This bloody underground business what ever it was had killed the two most important people in his life. He would not leave them. Not in this lifetime. Either he would die or bring them down he vowed.

"It was because of the high confidentiality maintained by Tej sir that Gauri's father's details were not exposed otherwise every effort of them would have gone into the drain. Not even Shivaay knew of it. Tej sir stopped him when he came to know what he was searching. He knew there was a mole in the department and did not want anybody to get to know of the details, lest Gauri's father will be harmed. Unfortunately he could not guess that the mole was his teammate."

Omkara was raging yet he tried to cool himself. This is not the time to loose his calm. He told himself.

"Doesn't Gauri know about her father?" he asked after a while.

"No, she doesn't like him. She grew up without a father Omkara and by the time she knew of him she already hated him. Shivaay tried to talk to her but she was adamant. She can be very stubborn if she wants to be" said Abhay and Omkara nodded his head.

"Your marriage was the wish of Tej sir and Gauri's father. Gauri doesn't know of it. She agreed to it because you were Shivaay's friend and he told her that her mother wished it. Let us keep it that way."

Omkara sighed nodding. How ignorant had he been. People were fighting their own battles around him and he had no clue of it.

"Go home. I will work on these and will inform you if I came across any information about the organization. There is a lot to go through and you seemed to be disturbed" said Abhay and Omkara nodded getting up.

"Mail me the files too. I will go through them myself" he said and Abhay nodded.

A man with a scarf covering his face hid behind a wall of sandbags in the construction site opposite the apartment planning a perfect ambush. He had a tranquilizer gun in his hand aimed at the car parked outside it. I will not miss him this time he thought. The dart from the gun will temporarily paralyze his target making it easier for him to capture him and take him away to his master. His eyes were trained on the entrance waiting for his prey to emerge.

After an eternity, when the target emerged at the entrance and walked towards his vehicle, the man's face raised above the wall without sound to facilitate his vision. He held his gun tight, his finger ready to pull the trigger and waited with bated breath till the person reached his car and...

Woosh..... A bullet from a silenced gun pierced his head and he fell to the ground without much noise. The sound of his fall muffled by the sandbags surrounding his now dead body.

Omkara was getting into his car when he felt as if he was being watched. He turned around to check the surroundings. The area was relatively uncrowded and silent. There was a building under construction in front of the apartment and he walked closer to note any movement. Finding nothing, he got into the vehicle and started his ride home.

There is not much to talk about. The action has to start from the coming chapters.

I am planning it in detail and it needs time. I will try to update as soon as possible and if not then assume that I am working on it.
