"Ringggg, Ringggg"

"Van?" I say as I hear him answer the phone without saying anything.

"Tia?"

"Yea its me, who else would it be kitty kat" I giggle.

A growl rips through the phone. "Next time I'll show you that I'm no feline" he says in a cheeky tone.

"Is that right wolf boy"

"That's right my Luna"

Hearing him say that brings a smile to my lips.

Thinking about Evander and the way he kissed me makes my skin glow with warmth. The way he held me with such tenderness and softness and kissing me with such passion....took my breath away.

I couldn't help but compare it with Levi's kiss. His was equally as passionate but was more lustful and demanding. I hesitated to kiss him back initially remember how he had to persuade me to return his kiss and when I did it was the hottest kiss I've ever had, but yet I welcomed Van's kiss without any hesitation and felt so loved and protected in those brief seconds.....but on the flip side I hid the truth from Van, I was scared to tell him eveything, but opened up to Levi honestly with no hesitation.....

Dammm it's like my body and heart have chosen the mate they want...but it's not the same one. All I can say is that I have to wait for my 18th birthday and then I will know for sure who my mate will be. Until then I have to stop leading them on I say to myself. I have to make them both understand that I don't want to start anything with them until my birthday because I have to consider their feelings and my feelings I dont want to start somthing with one of them to find that they aren't the one at the end....

I flash back to the conversation that I'm currently having with Van.

"Van" I say sighing.

"Sorry Tia bear, It just slipped, ill go back to my normal self like I said to you earlier, from this moment onwards I will be the your old best friend Van again - buuurrrrrpp - yea baby that felt good"

"ewww Van that was totally gross, your just a septic tank of gasses" I moan

"Hey" he laughs...

"So are you gonna come to the party on Saturday?" I ask

"Hell yea I'm not missing out at a chance to check out some ladies in glorified underwear" he says laughing.

"Typical player!" I laugh

"Well I figure since I'm your old best friend again, then I better start acting like it again, fathers and mothers lock up your daughters"

Something in me twists at the thought of him with other girls. NO I shake I wanted this, I told him I wanted things to go back to normal. I have a feeling he's testing me to see if I will object.

"ha ha ha I'll point out the ones to you who arnt skanks" I say with a small laugh.

"Sweet sounds good" he says a little off.

"Anyways Van I'm gonna go I wanna get some sleep for my second day, I have a feeling this week is

going to go past faster then I realise. " I say to him.

"Tia I can't do yogurt tomorrow sorry, coach has rescheduled our practise, the season starts next weekend and our opening game is against your school so he wants to make sure we are ready... He's arranged trainings for us every night this week from pool sessions to gym session, on top of our normal field sessions so I won't be able to see you until Saturday's pool party."

"oh" I sigh gently. - He is totally avoiding me right now, great I've managed to drive my best friend away from me now I think, mentally kicking myself.

"I'm not avoiding you, I promise, I just have a full schedule"

"Thats ok, you do your thing, ill do mine" I say.

"Be safe this week Tia' he whispers

"Night"

I hang up and jump into bed. Before I go to sleep I try hard not to think about the 2 men in my life who are confusing the hell out of me.

In the morning I jump out with another groan... "aghh I hate mornings" Another sunny day flashed through the drapes of my room. Showering quickly I jump out and tie my hair into a messy bun, fixing my makeup like yesterday with some blush, mascara and gloss, making my cheekbones more shapely and my lips stand out more.

I dress in a denim skirt with a slouchy purple top that hangs off my right shoulder showing my slender tan upper arm. Taking off my tiffany necklace I replace it with a long silver chain that has a tiny wolf on the end. Spritzing my favourite perfume I grab my sunglasses and ipad and walk out the door.

Walking out I see Levi sitting at the breakfast bar munching into a bowl of cereal. I feel myself stare at him as I walk in. He's looking sexier then ever with a pair of low riding jeans and a white wife beater singlet. His arms bulging as I could see the planes of his muscles throught the tight material. His skin tone a golden colour matching his dark blond hair that had been messily styled. I Look up and see him smirking at me staring at him. His blue eyes glowing with laughter. I roll my eyes and walk into the kitchen.

"Morning" I say looking in the fridge.

"Morning" he replies. "you look cute today" he says casually.

My heart beat increases slightly as something inside me glows that he likes what I'm wearing. Aghh how pathetic am I right now I realise.

"You like what you see Levi" I say standing in front of the fridge raising an eyebrow.

He shrugs and continues eating. I see a small smile reach his lips.

"So I wanted to talk to you this morning" I say as I pour some cereal. He doesn't look up. I take this as my cue to continue.

"I've told Van this and I want to tell you this too... I don't want a relationship right now, I came from a pretty bad ex and I just want some time to myself until I know what I want" I say in a strong voice.

"So your saying this is about your ex Vale, and nothing else" he says looking up.

I gasp as I hear him mention his name. "Dad and Laine told me before you came, they thought it was

important for me to know your situation" he said as if it was nothing. "Help me support you they said" hey says as he took a large drink of juice.

"ummm yea it is because of him, plus I wanna wait until my birthday... you know, I mentioned it to you earlier" I say in a small voice.

"Don't worry Tia, I can pretend you're not my mate for NOW" he says with a nod. "You are free to see who ever you want, and some goes with me" he says.

The fact that he said it in a tone that made me feel like he was giving me permission to see someone annoys me.

"Actually I've always been free to see whoever I want" I say bluntly looking at him.

"Sweet, then you won't mind if I cancel our dinner date tonight, I'm gonna go out with a friend"

My first instinct is to growl and demand to know who he was going out with, but I hold it in and smile sweetly. "Like I said player, you do your thing, and I'll do mine"

He looks at me with a smug look and puts his dish in the dishwasher and walks out. "See you at school"

I watch him walk out to the door carrying his football bag. Damm him I think as I cant help but stare at his muscular back.

I finish breakfast and walk out the door reading the txt from Rose giving me her address. I make my way over to her house. As I pull into the driveway of a comfortable looking home I see Rose walk out with her school stuff smiling at me.

"Hey hun, thanks for the ride" she says with a smile. "I normally go with Mason but id much rather cruise with you".

"No worries" I say with a smile as I start backing out of her driveway.

"How did your shopping go did you get somthing good?'

"I might have gotten a few things, but I wanna leave it as a suprise for the party. Speaking of parties, its

pretty cool your mom and step dad are letting us have it at yours" she grins

"yea there a pretty cool set of parents"

"Sooo.... your mom is our Luna aye" she says with a sly smile.

"Yepppp"

"That makes you and Levi Jackson family" she says again with another smile.

"by marriage yeppp"

"Honestly you dont know how happy Mason was when he heard that you two were family" she laughs, "especially after he heard you defending him after school"

I shake my head. "That boy thinks I'm gonna fall for his player tricks doesn't he"

"Well to be honest I have never seen a girl NOT fall for his tricks" Rose says.

I look at her and smile, "I don't muck around with friends brothers" I say with a shrug.

She nods with a smile, and looks back at me with her sly grin returning.

"So do you and Levi hang out at home?"

I look at her and reply. "Actually we share the pool house so yea we have hung out a little bit"

"Does he wake up gorgeous?" she giggles.

"Hey are you trying to crack onto my brother" I pretend to groan.

"Hell, any girl would be crazy to say no to that boy, he's the hottest thing since that guy from Thor hit the

scene" she laughs.

"Hell no Thor is a god!" I reply

"Who would you prefer, Thor or Conan" she asks.....

"Damm thats a hard one" I laugh thinking hard about it."I think ill say Thor because he has that hammer and anyone who can control that thing with one hand has to have amazing techniques"

"I know right" Rose laughs.

"What about you, The Rock or Vin Diesel" I ask looking at her while I drove.

"hmmmm, dammm thats a hard one I think I'll go for the rock because he has a sexy smile" she squeals.

We continue this game until we pull up to school. People still look at us but they dont stare like they did yesterday. I see the popular crowd on the steps chilling until they have to go to class. Looking up I see Levi sitting on the steps with a blonde cheerleader sitting in between his thighs. She's wearing his varsity jacket and is laughing like a maniac. Dam he works fast I growl to myself.

I go to get out of the car when I notice Mason open my door. "Hey baby girl, do I get a morning hug" I laugh as I think to myself. I know its stupid and childish but if Levi wants to play this game with me then ill play. (I hate to admit it but I know I brought this on myself telling him I didn't want to be in a relationship, but something inside me is pi$$ed off, I'm pi$$ed that last night he told me not to break his heart before I get a chance to love it, and asking me to dinner, he cancels on me and then the next minute he has some chick in between his thighs, literally. I didn't think he would actually rub it in my face so fast... but what do I expect a player is always a player.)

"hmm" I say this out loud. "your looking cute this morning, I suppose I could give a friends only hug" I say winking at Rose as she laughs knowing I mean it when I say friend.

He laughs a cute genuine laugh showing his perfect straight toothy grin, his brown eyes sparkle. He really was a hottie, especially when he shows that genuine smile.

"Can we be friends with benefits?" he asks waggling his eyebrows.

"hmmm nah your not that cute" I say with a cheeky grin.

I stand there and put on my dramatic soap opera pose. " I need a man that will sweep me off my feet, that will shower me with rose petals and that kiss the ground I walk on!" I laugh as I prance around.

Mason laughs and leans forward giving me a warm hug.

"Too much work for me, ill just take the friends hug" he says laughing.

The day at school was pretty non eventful, I still had half of the male population at school giving my winks ands trying to grab my attention but I ignored a lot of them hoping they would stop embarrassing themselves. I also still had Natalia and skanky barbie throwing death stairs at me at every chance they could. For some reason they never actually said or did anything to me. I have a feeling that was Levi's doing but I would never ask.

Lunch was chilled out, Levi and the blond girl made out half of the time, and he pretty much ignored me the whole day. - Which actually helped me relax? I was able to settle into my classes without thinking about him, which meant I actually took in some of the information the teachers were talking to us about.

Life at home was pretty quiet. Levi was either out or in his room most of the times. I would cook every night and leave some for him. In the morning I would see that he always ate what I cooked and tidied the kitchen, at least I know he is eating healthy meals I think to myself.

The week dragged on in the same sort of routine. Sooner then I realised it was Saturday and the pool party was about to start. Rose had stayed the night and we had spent the night watching dvds and gossiping like teenagers. It was nice to have such a close girlfriend. We had taken all morning to get ready and were finally happy with the final result

Rose was wearing a cute black bikini with a gold strings. She had her worked hair into a side sleek pony tail that curled at the tips. She had gold strappy sandals on and a pair of big glamorous glasses.

She looked hot.

I had left my hair out left it naturally wavy. I put on a light pink bikini and put on my denim shorts. Placing a flower behind me ear I was ready to go.

We had taken a little longer then we realised, the party had started and people had arrived and started drinking before we left the safety of my room.

We walked out and we noticed how packed the poolside was. There were half naked teenagers everywhere. Guys and girls in the pool playing wrestling wars, throwing around a beach ball and generally having a good time.

Rose splits up to look for her parents and Mason leaving me to mingle around.

"Woah Tia you look amazing"

I turn around to see Liam staring at me with a smile.

"Thanks, you dont need to be polite" I laugh

"I am polite but I'm not saying it just to be polite, I'm saying it because its the truth"

"aww really, can I keep you? and when I'm feeling down I can pull you out and you can compliment me again" I laugh.

"You can totally keep me if you want" he says with a grin.

I raise an eyebrow. "You don't look like someone who would be happy being a kept man"

"Wanna test out your theory"

Before I can answer I hear my name being called.

"Tia" Rose says looking at Liam with a cheeky smile.

"Van's here and he's looking for you" I nod as I turn around to Liam. "Hmm I'll let you know when I need another compliment" I say with a wink.

"You do that" he says smiling.

"In the meantime keep my girlfriend the birthday girl happy, you can start with compliments" I laugh as a walk away.

I walk around the pool smiling politely at the party guests. I turn around to see Van , and dammm does he look fine with no shirt on.... that sh*t should be illegal seriously. His muscular body is cut and tone, his skin tone is dark gold and smooth. I see he's had a hair cut just like I asked. I cant see his face yet but I be he's grinning to himself with all the girls around.

I decide to sneak up on him. As I get closer I can see the definition of his strong back. A small shiver of desire ripples through me as I imagine running my finger over his back...and whats worse I get even more excited about the aspect of scratching my fingernails across his smooth back. NO Tia - keep your thoughts CLEAN!

I reach him just in time to see him turn around, he sniffs the air and I can tell he can smell my excitement, his eyes light up when he see's me. I reach out and giggle, "this is for not taking me for yogurt like you promised kitty kat" I laugh as I push him hard on the chest. He falls into the pool and emerges looking like a freakin greek god with water droplets dripping down his chest. OMG the guy is just toooooo fine!!

"you better run Tia bear, cause the min I catch you I'm gonna show you the power of a real alpha" he

growls in a cheeky tone.

Awww sheeetttt I say as I turn around running to the gardens squealing like a kid.....
