While you're out with your friends, Steve and Bucky have a little "talk." Steve knew Bucky would try and do something with you since he first talked to him.

"I thought I told you to not try anything with my daughter," he says.

"No. You said to let her choose a good guy. I am a good guy. And she chose me." Bucky replies.

"Bucky no. I meant someone like peter."

" Oh come on! You want her to be with a smart ass that still barely hit puberty? You know I will take care of her!"

"I never said you couldn't. I don't want her to be in danger. When she's with you, she's in danger." "How is she in danger? You know I can protect her against anyone."

"I know you can. But if youre the one endangering her? You can't protect her then. I don't want to put my daughter at risk."

"You think I will hurt her? I could never hurt her. I promise to protect her with my life Steve. You know I will."

"I can't risk my daughters life on a 'promise' Bucky. Once a 'promise' is broken, there is no fixing it. I can't risk it."

" I know, but HYDRA won't be coming back. And even if they do, they can't take me again. I'm free. Remember? Wakanda freed me. You know that. Steve. Please. Let me make her happy."

" I can't Bucky. I'm sorry."

       As Steve said his last words to Bucky, he turned and stormed away. Bucky sits there holding his head in aggravation and stress. "I just want to make her happy", he mumbles to himself. That talk didn't change my mind about her, Steve. Suddenly, he gets your text, he smiles then quickly gowns. "Hey buck... can you come pick me up?" He texts back and heads to his car.

      When he pulls up to where you are, he moves the food he brought to the backseat. Once you get in, he notices that you're crying. Concerned, he asks you, "doll, are you okay?" He puts his hand on your thigh and continues driving. He drives to a mountain right before sunset.

       You both get out and lay on the hood of the car. He pulls out the food he had bought and you both talk. You guys talk all night about everything. He tells you about his talk with your dad, and you tell him about Peter. He does get visibly jealous when hearing you talk about Peter, but you like it when he's jealous. It shows how much he actually cares.

A few hours later, you get a call from your dad.

"Where are you?"

"I'm out. Don't worry."

"With who?"

"Bucky." you say as you hang up the phone.

        You look over at Bucky. You look down at his lips, then back to his eyes. He leans in and kisses you as the sun rises again behind you guys.

     You feel safe in his hold. You feel loved with his lips against yours. You feel wanted when you're with Bucky, more than you've ever felt.

"I love you forever and always James Buchanan Barnes." "I love you too, Y/N Rogers."
