Attraction

One might say attraction is simply the drawing of pleasing features. Others may say it is the connection of finding a lost love.

Yet, neither of those apply to Amaya. She felt a pull of some sort to a polite rookie named Thomas.

She didn't like it.

Yet at the same time, he emitted a warm feeling that enveloped her cold being and made her feel, well, alive.

She didn't like it one bit.

"Excuse me Miss Amaya? Are you alright?"

I blinked and sighed at the twinge I hadn't felt in so long, I could hardly discern it.

"I'm fine." I said shortly, giving a tiny smile before continuing my observation at the town we had docked at.

Thomas followed behind like a lost puppy. Gathering plenty of attention from the locals and the, *cough*, prostitutes.

They whistled to get his attention but he continued on as if not hearing a thing.

Pirates are so weird.

"Not to be rude, but don't you usually trail after Nathan?" She asked.

He blinked his warm eyes at her and smiled.

"Nathan told me to come because you're a pretty lady alone."

"Thomas, I don't know how else to explain this to you. I'm dead. What else can anyone do to me?" Amaya asked incredulously.

"..." He chuckled sheepishly.

She rolled her eyes and briskly walked faster. A dull ache was forming in her chest and she knew what was happening.

The time limit was drawing to a close. Agony would soon overtake her and force her back to the cave she had spent century after century.

The cave that was once a beautiful midnight colored cavern littered with sparkling jewels was reduced to a black, covered in soaked blood. The jewels had been taken out and poisoned the thief.

Amaya's eyes fluttered to a close as a particularly sharp pin of pain slammed into me.

"Hey, as you okay?" Thomas asked.

"I'm fine." She said, continuing her descent.

"What did you need to tell us Amaya?" Morgan asked in concern.

"You may have to find the last item on your own." Amaya said slowly. The dull ache had become a throbbing pain.

"What, why??" Russell yelled out.

"Thanatos wants me to come back." She said monotonously. A line she had spoken time and time again. Why would this time be any different?

"Who the hell is that." Eduardo demanded irritably.

"The God of Death."

They went very quiet. Surprising since they were pirates down to the blood.

Amaya broke the silence,"I might have to leave in a maximum of 5 days. Minimum of 2. That is all." She said quietly, before leaving the cabin, fading through the closed door.

This had happened time and time again. Why would this time be any different?

BOOM

The ship shuddered with the force of a scraping of another ship against this one.

The ship shuttered and Morgan came out with an angry yell of "ALAN?!"

Amaya blinked as a young man with raven chin length hair and light purple eyes accommodated by a black and purple captain hat and cloak jumped on board laughing heartedly.

Next a woman with bright blonde hair, brighter than Russell's or Nathan's dirty blonde hair, and brown eyes with a tint of pink. The first thing that came to her mind as she jumped onto the ship was a gorilla. However Amaya immediately reprimanded herself for such rude thoughts.

Last, a pair of identical boys came aboard. She watched with interest, She had never met two people who looked exactly the same! They both had a big grin on their face with brown hair and light purple eyes.

"Alan, I just got that polished!" Morgan cried in annoyance.

Alan beamed, unashamed. "I heard you've got some key ingredients for the greatest treasure known to man. I want them." He declared loudly.

"If you give them to us, I will consider dating you!" The woman cried with a flirtatious wink that the crew shivered at.

Normally, this would be a very big red flag.

However, the identical ones had captured Amaya's interest.

"Hello pretty little lady." They said, noticing her for the first time.

Amaya blinked in wonder. They spoke the exact same thing at the same time!

"You're identical." She said in unrestrained awe.

"Yep! We're twins." They grinned.

"Really? I've never met twins before..." She murmured.

"We're very glad to have met you first!" They smiled as if they were used to this but kept being nice because, well, the ravenette was actually acting extremely adorable.

"Eh, Miss Amaya you should stay away from these people!" Thomas called to the girl.

"Why?" She asked, honestly confused as to why they were acting like this.

"You see, that crew is a bit-"

"Oh hello beautiful woman, I didn't see you there." Alan smiled charmingly coming up close to Amaya.

Amaya raised an eyebrow in amusement and tilted her head in acknowledgment. Dark midnight curl spilling over her shoulders and she smiled at the new man.

The Sirius blinked in shock. It had taken them weeks to get a smile out of the beautiful girl and Alan comes along and the first thing he says makes her smile?

(A/N Was this jealousy in the air?)

Shut up author.

(A/N Sorry...)

"Pleasure to meet you." Amaya said.

"My names Alan. Captain Alan. And you are...?"

"You may call me Amaya." She said politely.

"You should stay away Miss Amaya. Captain Alan is a closet pervert." Thomas suddenly said.

"Really?" Questioned Amaya looking at the taller male man with a frown.

Alan felt his heart skip a beat.

"Of course not, beautiful Amaya!" He assured taking her hand in his.

Amaya nodded at this new information and frowned at the Sirius crew who were glaring on.

"What's wrong?" She asked.

"Those Rika bastards always steal our maps and treasure!" Eduardo yelled.

"Would you stop flirting with me?" The woman pouted and thrust our her chest.

Eduardo shuddered and backed away.

"You shouldn't steal from them." Amaya said coldly.

Alan blinked at the complete 180 degree turn but then smirked.

"Playing hard to get? I'll get you." He smiled flirtatiously. "Return the Sirius treasure and maps." He said as an afterthought.

Amaya blinked her dark blue eyes, coldly challenging him before saying. "Well? Get on with it." She said with a tiny smirk.

Alan suppressed a shudder. He did like an independent woman.

Challenge accepted.

Ohayo minna. I guess you can guess what's been happening. I, Carly Martinez, have almost completely lost interest in voltage.

In fact, this may be my last story. Weirdly, this makes me want to cry. Weird huh?
