Chapter 9: Infectious

"Hyung, please don't."

Author's POV:

"What's the matter? I thought a fag like you would enjoy this." Taehyung's hand started traveling up more, and Jimin grabbed onto his wrist.

"No, I-" He tried to push his hand away, but the older was too strong.

"Come on. I won't tell if you won't." Tae leaned in to kiss him, and Jimin panicked. Before he knew it, his hand was going across the older's face. The slap was so loud it echoed off the buildings. "What the fuck?!" Tae held his cheek in utter shock.

"I-I didn't mean to do that. I'm so sorry." Jimin looked at him with wide eyes. He surprised himself as well.

"You little bitch!" Tae raised his hand, and Jimin shut his eyes and braced for impact.

"Ahem." A voice came from behind them near the alley entranceway. "What's going on here?" Tae quickly put his raised hand around Jimin's shoulder as he turned to face the person. Jimin peeked out of one eye and saw a lady standing there. He instantly felt relieved.

"Sorry, Mrs. Yang. My friend and I were just talking." Taehyung smiled innocently. Jimin frowned in confusion and looked up at the older.

"Oh, Taehyung, it's you. Come from out of there. You boys look suspicious hanging out back there behind all of the buildings." The lady laughed lightly.

"Yes, Mrs. Yang. Sorry about that." He headed to the entrance pulling Jimin along with him.

"It's okay. You're a good kid. I know you wouldn't do anything, but you'd be surprised at what I've caught other boys doing back there. Anyway, I have to get back to work. You boys have fun. Oh, and tell your mother I said hello."

"I will." He forced a smile. The lady walked away, leaving Jimin alone with Tae once again. While the older was distracted, Jimin took this opportunity to push him away and run. Tae tried to run after him, but as soon as he took off, he collided with someone else, making them both hit the ground. "Hey, watch it!"

"Are you kidding? You ran into me." The tall boy frowned as he dusted himself off. Tae ignored him and looked around for the small boy, but he was already gone.

"Damn it! He got away." Tae gritted his teeth and looked at the confused guy next to him. "I should've known it was you. Namjoon, what the fuck is your problem?" He pushed the slightly taller guy.

"Me? What are you talking about?" Namjoon pushed back.

"Because of you, that freshman got away. I was in the middle of teaching him a lesson, and now I've got to go try to find him again."

"That's not my fucking problem. You shouldn't be messing with the freshmen anyway. As Junior Class President, you know that I'll have to report this."

"Oh yeah, I forgot. The nerd band sticks together." Namjoon rolled his eyes. "Well, listen, you little shit, I don't like snitches. I'm already in a bad mood. Therefore, I advise you not to cross me, or else I'll make you wish your mom swallowed you."

"First off, that's disgusting. Secondly, I'm not afraid of you." Namjoon frowned.

    "You should be," Taehyung smirked.

"Why? You gonna beat me up or something? Good luck. I'm not that weak little freshman you used to pick on anymore. I know how to use my fist now." He said, getting into a fighting stance. The older laughed.

"That's not what I meant. Even though I could easily kick your ass, I think the best solution would be to send this around the school." He pulled out his phone and opened up one of the files. He then displayed it to Namjoon who's jaw dropped in disbelief.

"H-how did you get that?" Namjoon reached for the phone, trying to snatch it away, but the senior was quicker and avoided him altogether.

"It doesn't matter how I got it. It only matters what I'll do with it."

"Kim Taehyung, I swear if you-"

"Yah! How old are you? How dare you speak to me so informally when I can ruin everything for you with only a simple click." Taehyung waved the phone in front of him, taunting him. Namjoon gritted his teeth.

    "What do you want, Hyung?"

"That's better. I want you to do a little favor for me." Namjoon glared at him. "Don't worry. I won't show this to anyone as long as you do what I ask." Tae smirked once more. He had the Junior class President right where he wanted him.

——

Jimin sighed in relief as he successfully made it back to his room. He prayed he wasn't followed. It was only his second day there, and he didn't know how much more of this he could take. He wondered what he could have possibly done to make someone hate him so quickly.

He thought back to the event that had taken place only a few minutes ago. He still couldn't believe he fought back. The boy felt guilty but good at the same time. His mother always told him that violence was never the answer, but she also told him to stand up for himself, and, in that situation, what else could he have done?

The biggest issue now is avoiding the older. He's sure he'll be stuck in his dorm for the rest of the weekend. That is if he doesn't want to run into Taehyung. He's not stupid. Taehyung is way bigger and way stronger than he is. He'll crush him if he sees him again. Jimin also knows that he can't hide in here forever. He'll eventually have to go to class.

He started biting his nails. It was a habit of his. His mother says he does it because of his anxiety, but he only does it when he is actively worrying about something. Considering all that's happened, he is surprised he hasn't bitten down to the nail-bed. Suddenly there was a knock on the door, and Jimin nearly jumped out of his skin.

"W-who is it?" He asked shakily.

"It's Jin. Open up." Jin knocked again.

"Coming!" He opened the door, quickly pulling his friend inside, and immediately shut it right after. The amount of force almost knocked Jin's bag off of his shoulder.

"What's the matter with you? Are you running from the IRS or something?" Jin giggled at his friend's odd behavior.

"No. Worse...I think." Jimin furrowed his brow. "What's the IRS?"

"Don't worry about it? Who are you running from?" Jimin debated on whether he should tell him or not. If he does, then Jin would want to know why, and he can't tell him why without the wrath of his brown-haired bully, but on the other hand, he's a terrible liar. "Hello?"

"No one. I'm fine. What brings you by today?"

"Okay?" Jin looked at him skeptically but decided to let it go for now. "I'm here to see how it went yesterday. Did you have a good time at your first high school party?" He smiled excitedly. He had been waiting to hear all of the details from the moment Jimin left.

"Yeah, it was good," Jimin answered hastily.

"You're a terrible liar. You know that, right?"

"I know." The smaller pouted. "You were right. I shouldn't have gone."

"I would say I told you so, but that seems too to say harsh right now." Jin joked, trying to lighten the mood, but it didn't work. Jimin is on the verge of tears now. "Awe, come here." The smaller shuffled over, and Jin took him into his embrace. "Do you want to talk about it?"

"Not really." Jimin sounded muffled since his face was buried in the crook of Jin's neck.

"Ok, how about we watch movies on my laptop until you feel better." He said as he released Jimin from the hug and pulled his PC out of his bag.

"That'd be great. We can watch it in my room." Jimin smiled.

"Awesome." They walked over and opened the door to Jimin's room. The moment they did, Jimin scolded himself. "What are all of these clothes doing here?" Jin asked, referring to the giant pile of clothes Soomin brought earlier. "Did you have these last night?" Jimin was too busy trying to gather up all of the clothes to answer. He didn't want Jin to see the girly stuff and think he was weird. "Why did you hold out on me? I see a couple of outfits in this section alone that would've driven that Jeon crazy." He said, eying one of the crop tops before Jimin snatched it up.

"These aren't mine." Jimin finally spoke after chunking most of the garments in his closet.

"Oh, really? They all seem to be your size. Even that hot little number." He pointed to the dress Jimin tried on earlier. Jimin went completely red. Almost as red as the dress. "You didn't need my help at all," Jin smirked.

"They aren't mine!" Jimin shouted a little taking Jin by surprise.

"Sorry. I was just teasing." Jin said, remorseful.

"No, no, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell. It's just... they aren't mine." Jimin felt terrible now. He didn't mean to blow up on his friend. He was just embarrassed.

"Got it." Jin nodded.

"I'll wash your clothes and give them back to you tomorrow."

"Keep them. I have plenty." The taller sat on the clean bed.

"I can't do that. They're too nice." Jimin frowned.

"Jimin, just keep them. I already wore them once, and I rarely ever wear anything twice." He smiled.

"What do you mean?"

"Well, I get my allowance every week, and I buy new clothes every time I do, so as I said, I have plenty. I usually give my old ones to charity. At least that's what I was going to do with those, but you can have them since you looked great in them."

"Really? I did?" Jimin tilted his head. He thought they might have been too tight on him.

"You definitely looked better than I ever did." Jin laughed. "Let's watch a movie now before it gets too late." Jimin hopped on the bed next to him.

"Thanks a lot, Jin."

"For what?"

"For everything."

——

Later on that day, Jungkook finally finished up with the student council meeting. The Friday meeting idea annoyed him since it was technically a weekend day according to the school's new schedule, but it was either that, or they'd have to meet for an hour after classes Monday through Thursday. He definitely did not want that since he had basketball practice then.

Speaking of basketball practice, that is where he is headed now. He stopped by his room to change first, but that didn't take long. He wore a black muscle shirt and red basketball shorts. His fans, girls from nearby boarding schools who came to watch the practices, loved it when he wore that. Especially when he'd get all sweaty and lift up the bottom of his shirt to wipe his eyes, the screams could be heard throughout the entire campus.

"Hey, Kook. Where you been, man? We haven't seen you since this morning." Jackson came up to him as he walked in.

"It's Friday, dumb ass. Student council meeting." Jungkook rolled his eyes. He's been complaining to his friends about the Friday meeting all week, and yet the latter still asked his whereabouts.

"Oh yeah, I forgot. How'd it go?" He asked as they walked to the other side of the court.

"Just as stupid as always with everyone arguing about dumb stuff like pencils and shit-"

"Yeah yeah, that's great." Jungkook looked over at his friend and sighed. Apparently, Jackson was too focused on the girls in skimpy school skirts walking in to pay attention.

"And then Santa stormed in wearing a bikini, grabbed a microphone, and cussed out the cow that jumped over the moon." Jungkook was over it at this point.

"Yeah, that's cool. Look, I'll see you out there in a minute. I am going to go welcome our guests." He patted Jungkook on the arm and ran over to the large crowd of girls.

"Whatever." Jungkook went into the locker room to get a sip of water when he saw Taehyung sitting on one of the benches on his phone. "Hey." He greeted him, and Tae looked up from his phone.

"Hey. How did the meeting go? Not that I really care." Jungkook snickered.

"It went fine. How was your talk with Jimin?" Taehyung froze.

"What do you mean?" He deadpanned.

"I mean, how did that go. After I left, I saw you two talking, and then you both disappeared." Jungkook took a sip from the fountain.

    "So?" Tae frowned.

"So did you guys go hang out or what?" Jungkook had been thinking about this during the whole meeting. He wondered what was going on between the two. First, he found them kissing, then Jimin told him that Taehyung threatened him, and lastly, he saw them walk off together.

    "Why do you care?"

"I don't. I'm just making conversation." Jungkook shrugged.

"Then make it about something else. I don't want to talk about that gold-digging bitch."

"You know you never told me why you kissed him." Taehyung tensed up.

    "Kissed, who?" He played dumb.

"Jimin." Jungkook made a 'duh' face.

"That's because I didn't kiss him." Tae continued to play on his phone nonchalantly.

"Taehyung, I walked in on you two kissing." Jungkook frowned. He didn't understand why his friend would lie when he knows he saw him.

    "That's because he kissed me."

"Is that why you threatened him?" He asked sarcastically.

"Is this a fucking interrogation or something? You're acting like a jealous boyfriend." Jungkook wasn't jealous. At least he didn't think he was. He did feel a little left out, but that's all.

"I'm not jealous. I'm just worried about you."

"Why?" Taehyung spat. He didn't like people in his business. It didn't matter who you were.

"You said your nightmares are back. Is it because of him?" Jungkook looked concerned now.

"I don't want to talk about it." He put his phone away and stood up.

"Look, Tae, I know he looks like her, but he isn't her. He isn't tough like her." Jungkook tried to put a hand on his shoulder, but Taehyung jerked away.

"Oh, and you know him so well after two days?" He mocked him.

"I know enough. Just leave him alone, ok?"

"Why are you defending him? I'm your best friend, and I'm telling you the fag kissed me, so what I do to him is none of your concern." Tae glared as he brushed past Jungkook bumping his shoulder on the way to the door.

"Actually, it is. As class president, I-" Jungkook started, and Tae turned around.

"Oh, do not start with that bullshit. You think now that you have a title that you're better than me. You're not better than me. You're not better than anyone of us. You're still the same little shit you always were, just disguise now. Don't forget who gave you that position and why you're even there in the first place." Tae gritted his teeth.

"I didn't forget. I'm just worried about you, Tae." Jungkook stood unfazed by the outburst.

"What part of 'I don't want to talk about it' did you not understand?" Taehyung raised his voice.

"I just don't want you to do anything you'll regret." Jungkook sighed.

"I do this all the time. Why the fuck would I regret it?" Tae furrowed his brow.

"Because Jimin is different."

"Different how?"

"You know how?"

"Hey guys, coach is calling for us." They were interrupted by one of their teammates.

"We're coming." Tae gestured for him to leave, which the boy did immediately. "Don't worry about me, Kook. I'm fine. It sounds like you should be more worry about yourself."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Jungkook tilted his head. Taehyung moved closer to him, getting in his personal space and causing him to hold his breath unconsciously.

"I just want you to be careful. You should probably stay away from him. You know homosexuality is the most infectious disease, and I can already see some symptoms stirring up in you." Taehyung smirked and walked out. Jungkook scoffed. That conversation didn't go the way he planned it, but then again, it never does.

——

I forgot to give y'all ages and heights for everyone, so I'm going to do that now. It's different from real life. I'll start with Namjoon since he was just introduced into the story.
