Christine woke with the morning sun in her eyes. She looked over and found her husband sleeping next to her. She realized that this might be the last time she wakes up next to him, today he was going off to war. Christine put her head on his bare chest. His eyes fluttered open to find Christine laying back to him.
"Good morning Christine Vaganova."
"Good morning Gleb Vaganov."
Gleb started to sit up in the bed looking at the time.
"I have to leave soon."
Christine looked up at him with sad loving eyes.
"I hate to leave but I have no choice, I love you Christine."
"I love you too."
Christine said as she kissed her husband.
"Go get ready and meet me down stairs."
Christine got up and started to make her way down stairs to make breakfast for Gleb.
Ten minuets later Gleb came down and hugged Christine.
Christine and Gleb ate until they heard a nock at the door. Christine started to tear up knowing that is the the army coming I get Gleb.
Christine and Gleb got up to answer the door to see the general standing in front of them.
"It is time to go private Vaganov."
"Yes General."
Christine Hugged and kiss Gleb.
"You go fight your hardest and come back to me, ok?" Christine said holding back a sob while fixing his uniform.
"I promise." Gleb said giving her one last kiss before leaving to go to the car. As he was about to get in Christine yelled to him.
"I Love you!"
"I love you too." He said blowing a kiss and waving goodbye to his wife.
