vampire!Eli x reader

A/N: This was requested by Shirei01~ Hope you like it! This was oddly painful to churn out, maybe I've hit some sort of writers block? Maybe my brain's just scattered because I have so much due soon that I'm not doing. lol oh well. At any rate my point is I tried to make this one work but it refused to work with me, but I hope you like it at least!!

Also, I really should stop spontaneously making the reader a kouhai. idk why I seem to have an impulse to do that.

Crap, to think I'm running late.

Eli hurries up the stairs, more thoughts running through her head even as she reaches the top and hurries down the hall.

Between trying to deal with those rogue vampires, school, and Nozomi's mysterious words from a while back, I couldn't get much sleep and now here I am, student body president, practically running through the halls to get to a meeting I'm at least 5 minutes late to.

As she tries to turn the corner she suddenly collides into someone, knocking herself back a bit as she hears someone fall.

Once she reoriented herself from the force of the collision, her frosty blue eyes open to see a younger, rather attractive, student on the floor in front of her.

"I-I'm so sorry, are you alright?"

The young girl's groans before she opens her eyes to reveal (e/c) colored irises that settle on the blonde third year.

"U-uh I'm fine, uh," her eyes focus on the taller girl's ribbon, "senpai. Sorry as well. I should've been paying more attention..."

"N-no it's my fault! I'm late to a meeting so I was in a rush. Here."

Ever polite, Eli reaches a hand out to the underclassman, smiling. The girl eyes her hand for a moment before grabbing it, a small smile lighting her face while letting the blonde help her up.

"Thanks..."

"It's no problem, and again, I'm sorry! I'm in a hurry, so I'll see you around." She smiles and hurries off, sparing a wave back at the slightly dazed looking girl.

Hm, she was cute.

xXx

"Um, p-president? President?"

"H-huh?!"

Jolted out of her daydream, Eli looks around and notices everyone in the room staring at her.

"U-uh, sorry, what was that again?"

"The budget...?"

"Ah, right, um..." she feels Nozomi eying her as she racks her brain for a response.

"How about we continue this for the next meeting? Seems our president has been working too hard~ I have to ask that you write down your questions and we'll answer them next time. So with that, meeting adjourned~!"

Everyone begins to slowly file out as Eli sighs and rubs her temples.

Not only was I spacing out, but I was thinking about that cute girl I knocked down earlier. Geez, I have more important things to worry about rather than thinking about that cute smile of hers.

"It's rare to catch you off guard in front of everyone, Elichi~"

She turns to her purple haired friend, "Sorry, I'm just a bit tired. Anyways, I have some other things to finish so I'll see you tonight for a quick report, okay?"

xXx

"Aaaaand that's all to report~"

Nozomi twirls a card in her hand before shuffling it in her pile, a worried look lining her face.

"Elichi, are you sure you can do surveillance for tonight? You've been pretty busy and--"

"I'll be fine, Nozomi. Just because I'm busier doesn't mean I'm not capable of patrolling or anything. Don't worry."

The taller girl gives her companion a small smile before taking off into the night, swiftly making her way across various rooftops.

The moon was out, illuminating the area before her. There weren't many stars, at least not many she could see, but she thought that was fine. It's not like she was out to go stargazing anyways. That's a certain redhead's hobby, not hers.

Allowing her mind to continue to wander a little, the former ballet dancer starts to think about the incidents that played on repeat on all the news channels as she swiftly moved across the rooftops.

We still haven't figured out who those masked vampires are...Nozomi said when she encountered them, they were able to overwhelm her three to one.

Eli frowned, wondering what kind of vampires would be willing to cause so much trouble for not only the Council, but for other vampires as well.

They must've gotten stronger with all that human blood, to overwhelm even someone with a pure bloodline.

"Frowning like that can only mar what otherwise would be a beautiful face, Ayase."

Startled, the blonde vampire pauses on a roof as her senses heighten. Her breathing slows, as she takes in her surroundings, her eyes narrowing before abruptly turning to her left.

There, on another roof, stood 2 figures of about equal height. They both had plain masks on with eye holes and black jackets over their plain blood stained shirts.

Eli clenches her teeth as they both jump and make their way closer to her. Recalling how they were able to defeat Nozomi, Eli wills her already extraordinary agility abilities to their full potential, knowing it would take a toll on her later.

"Hnn, so you're Eli Ayase huh? It's nice to meet you, I suppose." The one with turquoise colored eyes says, crossing their arms.

"You're the ones who drained the blood of those humans on the news, aren't you? Who are you?" She discreetly takes a step back, as she wonders if she can even escape from here.

"If we are? Either way, I'm afraid you don't currently stand a chance, wouldn't you agree? So why don't you stop asking questions." Pinkish eyes stare at her before suddenly both figures are in front of her.

Thankfully, between her heightened senses and her vampiric agility powers, she's somehow able to dodge the punch aimed at her face and the leg aimed at her stomach.

However, she realizes that it seems her opponents have heightened powers of their own that she was unable to anticipate when she felt a sudden dull pain against her chest that sends her flying to the next roof over.

"Your powers are certainly impressive, as expected of someone from a relatively powerful bloodline." The turquoise eyed girl states as the pink eyed girl continues, "However you and I both have the heightened agility power, and with the human blood I've consumed I'm afraid you won't stand a chance."

Eli groans before attempting to get up as fast as she can. Slightly injured, she eyes the two figures as they make their way to the roof she's landed on before she attempts to flee.

I have to lose them somehow...shit, they're already gaining on me. It must be the blood. Did they feed again tonight?

"You won't get far, Ayase!"

Escape first, now isn't the time to be wondering about whether they fed again. I have to lose them somehow...

xXx

T-they're...they're gone...? Did I manage to lose them?

Barely limping along the street and clutching her injured arm, Eli leans heavily against an apartment building taking deep breaths.

I-I have to...mansion...report...energy...b-bloo---

Right as she passes out, she swears she heard a familiar voice call out to her.

xXx

"W...where..?"

Slowly drifting awake, Eli opens her blue eyes to an unfamiliar ceiling.

What...?

"Senpai? You're finally awake."

The blonde turns her head to the voice to see the (e/c) eyed (h/c) haired underclassman she knocked down a while back.

"You...?"

"Ah, right, my name. I'm (Y/n) (L/n). Pleased to meet you, um, A-Ayase-senpai, right? Sorry, I took a look through your pockets when I brought you here and saw your student ID."

Suddenly recalling the previous events, the student council president bolts up into a sitting position only for a sharp pain to occur on her side, causing her to lie back down.

"Geez, senpai, you're still healing. It's only been a day after all."

"A full d-day?! I have to go..."

She reattempts to get up only to be pushed back down by (Y/n).

"You're not going anywhere in this state, I don't care how fast you heal. Your arm just got better too."

"Look, I appreciate what you've done but I really hav--"

"No. At least for another day, please? You'll reopen your wounds, plus you need to regain your energy, don't you? I don't know how you'll do that since you're a vampire but if you need anything I'll try to help..."

"I...wait, y-you know I'm..."

The younger girl sighs a little before explaining, "After I brought you back to my apartment, since I wasn't just gonna leave you passed out right outside, you kept groaning in pain as I dressed your wounds. I just happened to see your fangs. I assumed they were for a costume or something, but well...it would've come off by now if that was the case, right?"

Eli's face pales considerably as she lets the younger girl's words sink in.

"Y-you..." she suddenly, frantically, grabs the girl's shoulders after sitting up, gripping her hard enough that she lets out a small whimper. She feels a sense of fear she's never felt before take a hold of her as her sapphire blue eyes stare into (e/c) colored irises.

"You can't let anyone know! You...just knowing puts you in danger! You have to forget everything, okay? Tch, if only I had Nozomi's heightened power..."

(Y/n) only stares back at her, her (e/c) eyes darting between those sapphire blue irises.

"Ayase, I'm not just gonn--"

"(Y/n), please. Stay away from me," she pauses, momentarily wondering why a pang of sadness flows through her, "for your own safety."

"Senp--!"

In one swift motion Eli makes her decision on what to do and hits a certain spot on the girl's neck with her hand, causing her to pass out.

Ignoring the pain she feels, she moves to get off the, admittedly soft, bed, slowly moving her muscles to get a feel for her current range of motion.

They're going to wonder where I've been...

She frowns at that thought, wondering how to explain herself without letting them know about the human that helped her.

Looking to her kind underclassman, the third year picks her up and carefully lies her down on the bed she was previously laying on.

(Y/n) (L/n), huh? I can't hypnotize her into forgetting like Nozomi can, but I hope when she wakes up she'll think it was just a dream.

Before she realizes it, she's reached out a hand to brush the hair away from (Y/n)'s face, a small content feeling washing over the sense of sadness from earlier.

For some reason, Nozomi's words from before surface to the top of her mind.

"You'll understand eventually Elichi~ My cards said so~"

"This...Is this what you meant?"

She takes one last look at the girl before she turns and walks out of the room, clutching her slightly throbbing side.

What a cruel feeling, Nozomi.

xXx

It's been over a week since that incident but...

"Senpai! W-wait!"

Once again, not for the first time that week, the blonde walks faster, gaining some attention from the various students walking through the halls.

"Ayase-senpai!"

Clenching her fists, she turns a corner only to nearly knock down her fellow club member, Kotori.

"Ara, Eli-chan? Something wrong?"

She's about to apologize when a hand grabs her elbow.

"S-senpai, we need to talk."

Before she can protest or even pull her arm away she feels herself being dragged into an empty classroom as Kotori looks on unsure and slightly worried.

Once the door slides closed, the younger student turns to face Eli with her hands on her hips, an annoyed and slightly angry look on her face.

"What's wrong with you? Why are you avoiding me?"

Her (e/c) eyes shine as she stares down the student council president, undeterred by their height difference and the fact that she's talking to a vampire.

Trying to look tough or somewhat menacing, Eli crosses her arms over her chest.

"I told you to stay away from me, didn't I?"

"And I told you that if you needed anything I'm willing to help! I don't care what you are senpai, but it's obvious that whatever it is, you're taking all of it by yourself!"

Taken aback by her words Eli feels her teeth clench tight, her mouth becoming a straight line.

Silence takes over as they stare each other down, nothing heard aside from their breathing.

After a few minutes the blonde is surprised to see the other girl's eyes soften before she takes a step closer into her personal space, bodies inches apart.

"What are you afraid of, senpai? Your eyes now look just like they did when you realized I knew what you were. What's scaring you?"

She opens her mouth to assure the girl that she can't possibly be afraid but then she realizes her hands are shaking.

Surprised at this realization, she says the first thing that comes to mind, "You."

Not knowing what's wrong with herself, yet somehow feeling that answer is true, words continue to fall out of her mouth as though her thoughts and feelings only morph and make sense after she's said them aloud.

"I'm afraid of you. Of what might happen to you, of what you mean to me. I wanna keep you away from me to keep you safe but I also don't want you to leave my side. You haven't even left my mind since the day I knocked you down even though I'm too busy to even be thinking of you. You're my fear, (Y/n)."

The younger girl stares at her in silence, her (e/c) eyes seemingly searching between frosty blue irises.

"If that's how you feel then you should be able to understand why I've been chasing you around for a week and a half now, senpai."

Confusion fills Eli's face as the (h/c) haired girl looks away before beginning to elaborate, albeit somewhat slowly, as she suddenly grew hesitant and shy.

"You know, you haven't left my mind either, since that day. And whenever I remember finding you that injured that night, I..." she turns her head to stare at the older girl's eyes, "I want to protect you. At the very least, I want to be there to help you with anything, even everything."

Silence covers them like a blanket for a few seconds as the student council president feels a blush start to light her face as (Y/n) continues speaking.

"...I think I love you, and nothing you say will keep me away from you."

Eli stares at the girl, her mouth hanging open.

The shorter girl takes this opportunity to close the distance between them and plant a soft kiss on Eli's lips.

When they eventually part, the younger student pulls her into a warm hug, "Push me away all you want, I don't intend to leave you."

Eli can't help the smile tugging at her lips as she finally wraps her arms around her, pulling the girl closer.

She'll deal with all the complications this kind of relationship will bring some other time.

Right now though? It just feels too right to hold and be held by this gorgeous (e/c) eyed, (h/l) haired girl so, for now at least, she'll push away her worries for another day.
