At any rate, on to the story~~

"(N/n)!" You turn at the sound of your nickname, knowing only one person calls you that.

"Wanna come watch us practice today?"

You smirked and decided to tease her a little, knowing that she would tease you back, "What's wrong? You gonna be lonely without me~?"

"Of course~ You have to be by my side, always." She teases back with a grin.

You were at Nozomi's apartment on a Saturday since you decided to visit her after running a few errands.

You had met Nozomi when you were just kids in elementary school in Tokyo. You were fast friends but because she constantly moved to other places, you could only communicate through emails and letters as you both grew older.

When you heard that your purple headed best friend was moving to Akihabara, you immediately offered to help her move into her current apartment since you had moved to the area sometime in middle school. It also so happened that you both ended up attending Otonokizaka.

Since then you've been constantly hanging out with her, and even met the members of the idol group she's a part off. And here you both are now as if nothing changed from when you were kids, still best friends.

Well, your feelings ran a little deeper than mere friendship, but you were content with the way things are now.

You made a bitter smile before quickly softening your features into a more genuine smile, "How cheesy of you. I'll come watch you guys practice though. It's fun teasing some of them, like Maki, for example."

Your best friend chuckles and moves to ruffle your hair in an affectionate manner.

"Then let's go, they're probably already waiting." You lightly blush as you nod your head.

As cliched as it is, being in love with your best friend is just torture.

"One, two, three, four! One, two, three, four! Rin, you're moving too fast!" Umi's voice resounded as she clapped in time to the song.

"Nya?! S-sorry!"

You were currently sitting on the sidelines watching the members of μ's practice their choreography.

Aside from just helping them out by getting their water bottles, towels, and other things they might need, you were also asked to help check for any discrepancies while they're dancing.

"Kotori, you're starting to slow down. Ah, Honoka I think you're too far right." Both Kotori and Honoka nod, too focused and tired to respond.

You scanned the group again, your eyes landing on Nozomi. Unknowingly, you end up following her movements for the rest of the song, mesmerized not only by her movements, but by her focused expression as sweat glistened on her skin and her fluid movements.

Of course, you also stole a glance or two at her ahem, gracious, chest as you felt the heat rise in your cheeks.

"Okay, let's take break!" Umi stopped clapping as you went to grab water for everyone.

Nozomi sat on the ground as her eyes were drawn in your direction, watching as you handed water to everyone. She was too exhausted to notice that she was staring at you, and too busy appreciating your rather appealing figure.

Eventually you had made your way over and were now waving a bottle in her face.

"Nozomi? Nozomiii? Earth to Nozomi-san?!"

She was too busy, blankly staring at you, mesmerized and lost in her thoughts. There was a feeling in her heart that she couldn't quite place.

"Oi Non-tan! Geez." You used one hand to grab her cheek as you pulled at it. "Aren't you thirsty?"

Nozomi's eyes refocused as she felt a blush light her face.

"Owsh, (N/n), ier hurshs!"

"That's you're fault! I've been calling you for a good minute now, you know." You let go of her cheek, "Here, you need to hydrate before you let your thoughts wander."

Nozomi massages the cheek you were pulling on as she uses her other hand to take the water bottle from you.

"You were doing good out there, keep it up! Who knows, maybe if you do well enough I'll give you a present~"

You aim a wink towards her before walking away, not noticing the blush on the purple haired girl's face. 

You continued what you were doing before, making sure that everyone was okay and that no one needed anything.

Nozomi, meanwhile, continued to stare at you. She felt a little uneasy at how close you were with everyone, but she was also happy that you were close with them. She felt herself slightly frown at that thought as a sigh escaped her lips, eyes never leaving your figure. 

She's sure she knows what that feeling she was feeling earlier was. Somehow she wasn't too surprised though. She's always known that ever since seeing you again she's felt different around you. She supposed that it just took her some time to figure it out.

She watched as you teased Maki, causing the said girl to blush and look away from your laughing expression as you walked away from the red head.

"You know, a picture lasts much longer than you staring at her will."

Your green eyed best friend blushes and turns to see Nico looking up at her, arms crossed and eyebrow raised.

"E-eh? What are yo--"

"Don't bother. I get it." The short, raven haired girl looks to where you're standing, "You're in love, yeah?"

Nozomi's face feels like it's about to explode. Well, Nico wasn't wrong, she mused.

She follows Nico's line of sight and looks at you as you smile and chat with Hanayo and Eli.

She ends up not being able to look away from you as you laugh. Drawn into the curve of your smile, the way your eyes scrunch up. Drawn to the way your hand tends to touch and cover you mouth when you laugh particularly hard.

"You should tell her."

Nozomi's head whips around to stare at Nico as Umi claps her hands together, "Alright, break time's over. Let's take it from the top again."

"(Y/n) won't be there forever."

Nico walks away, leaving a flustered and torn Nozomi to stare at her back before slowly making her way to join everyone in their positions.

You were currently on your way home, walking side by side with your best friend. 

Normally you'd spend this time with the green eyed girl by constantly teasing each other. There was none of that happening right now, much to your surprise.

Ever since practice ended, you notice that Nozomi has been pretty silent, and whenever you look at her she has this contemplative expression that you can't quite read.

Honestly, she was starting to worry you. Especially since she doesn't even respond to your teasing with her own like she usually would. 

You stop walking, "Non-tan..." however, it appears she didn't hear you as she continues walking.

"Non-tan?"

She continues walking. You try calling her name a few more times before slowly becoming more and more frustrated.

You catch up to your best friend and kabe-don her, pushing her against the wall with your weight to get her attention, "Nozomi!!"

"(Y-y-y/n)?!"

"Geez, why is it so hard to grab your attention today?" You remove your weight from her but keep your hands where they are, on either side of her, "Is something troubling you that much?"

"N-no, I'm fine, fine! I just, have a lot on my mind~ Aww, worried about me~?"

You ignore her teasing and stare at her, watching as her eyes begin to dart away from yours, not even registering the blush on her face.

"Non-tan...what's wrong?"

Your face, no your whole body, was way, way too close for her not to get flustered. And aside from that, you have her trapped between the wall and you!

Nozomi avoids your gaze, afraid that she'll tell you everything. 

She then remembers Nico's advice from earlier and stares at the ground. 

Maybe she should just tell you? She doesn't think that you're the type of person that would stop talking to her or being friends with her if she admitted to having feelings for you...

"...Did I do something?" Your voice sounded timid and unsure, causing your purple haired best friend to quickly look at you, "Ever since practi--"

"N-no!" Nozomi suddenly blurts out, causing you to stare at her, "That's...not it."

You just stare at your best friend, waiting for an answer as she fidgets a little.

"...I'm just going to say it okay, (Y/n)?" She takes a deep breath before letting it out again and staring in your (e/c) eyes. "I love you." 

You swear your heart stopped as your eyes widen.

"I-I mean, I understand if you don't feel the same an-and only see me as a f-friend," her eyes are starting to get watery as she continues, "but I just wa-wante---mhhp?!"

Knowing how unresponsive she's been whenever you called her today, you figured that the best course of action was the most direct one, which in this case was resting your weight on her again and using a hand to guide her face to yours so you could kiss her.

You feel some resistance due to her shock only for her to eventually relax and kiss back, moving to wrap her arms around your neck.

After about a minute of making out, you pull away, just as breathless as she is.

"I hope you liked that little present."

Nozomi's face explodes in red as she stares at you with her mouth hanging before burying her face in your neck.

"I love you too, Nozomi."

A/N: Can I just rant about kabe-dons, because like, my dream right there >< 

Like, I wanna do that whenever I get a girlfriend and I want her to kabe-don me like alsdkjfjfwoiencxm I can already imagine how flustered I'd be~~~~~~~~ ahem, sorry.
