This section may be very controversial as these girls may be your best girl. All Love Live girls can be best girl but this is merely my opinion and is not the gold standard. 

Muse: Umi and Nico.

For Nico, I'll be honest, my dislike of her has subsided in the past few years but she is still a character I don't have the highest amount of affinity for. The main issue I have is her arrogance, she thinks she is better than everyone despite them all working towards a similar goal which infuriates me to no end. I do understand that her home life has an impact, having 3 siblings is not easy. It is still not an excuse to exert some level of superiority to others not in her situation. She also is a little annoying, her voice does get on my nerves at times ( nowhere near as much as Nozomi's singing voice) but it's a minor issue compared to her arrogance. Funny thing is Kasumi is almost the same as Nico in the arrogance department but I find her infinitely more charming and endearing than her by miles. I can't explain why, but Kasumi is the better gremlin and doesn't make me want to punt her across a football field. But I will say, Nico's Nico Nico Nii backstory really pulled at my heart and played into my lessening dislike of her, and understanding her behavior may come from the lack of father and competing attention from siblings, still means I don't fully like her, I still dislike her greatly, just less so. 

Umi, I really, really don't like Umi and my dislike of her borders hatred. She is bossy, rude and frankly needs to really loosen up some. For starters, I despised the scene where she slapped Honoka for wanting to quit Love Live. I get the scene was supposed to be dramatic but it was a step too far and made her seem unnecessarily mean and cruel. She could have tried to hear Honoka out and understand her point from everything that happened before, but she chose violence. That ties into how she bullies Honoka, like I do get Honoka needs some guidance due to her ditzy nature but she is too mean to her in my opinion. She fat shames Honoka instead of positively encouraging her about her weight like a honest and true friend. She is too bossy and uptight for her own good, I hate characters like that ( such as Mio and Azusa) as life's too short to be serious like that, lighten up and smell the roses as today could be your last day. I feel I've said enough as I really feel I could go on about my borderline hatred of Umi.

Aqours: Kanan and Riko. 

Kanan, she's not a bad girl and she isn't a terrible person, I just find her annoying and forget she exists 90% of the time. She needed more screen time as what she got was lacking and really didn't give her a chance to really fully get characterized. Like I do get her disliking of Aqours at first due to her, Mari's and Dia's failed idol group but just because you failed doesn't mean that others will, she could have used that insight to help guide them along their journey but she was pretty. I know some may agree already here but her voice is annoying, it's high pitch but not high pitch in a way that's cute like Kotori's voice. Best I could describe it is a squeaky toy that has a bad case of Bronchitis mixed with the tone of a 50 year smoker. 

Riko is, well, basic. She's very bland and the fact she came from Otonokizaka was under utilized as a plot point considering Chika wanted to emulate Muse so badly. Riko is like a vanilla ice cream cone, she's there, she's ok but is nothing to write home about. I also really dislike how she's the catalyst for the drama between You and Chika while also instigating shipping between the three of them. That entire subplot could have been cut out and nothing of note would be noticed, it's pointless yuri bait and is one aspect of Love Live I dislike. She's a diet coke dr bob version of Maki.  

Nijigasaki: Karin, Ai and Lanzhu

Karin and Ai go together in this spot as I dislike both for a similar reason, that being they betrayed their friends in the All Stars story. I really hate characters who will betray their friends for their own petty reasons so that killed any chance of me liking the two. Like you were there by your friend's side during the formation of the club, trained with everyone and even made bonds with them all to throw it away when you got offered something better. I also hate how after Lanzhu lost and the school idol association was disbanded that everyone let them back in with open arms. If it were me in Kasumi's shoes I would have kicked them to curb and banished them from ever speaking to us again. It's funny when Karin gets all depressed when she loses to Kasumi as it was a form of revenge and karma hitting her smack in the forehead. Besides their treachery I don't like Ai's puns, they're not funny and are a true "you got the whole squad laughing" moment.

Lanzhu, oh god where do I even start with her. She is a worse arrogant person than Nico and Kasumi combined, she nearly destroyed the idol club and managed to make Karin and Ai betray their friends. She could have been written better, to not be a comical supervillain who is "misunderstood" which is a huge troupe but the writers were like "it's troup time baby". She is truly an unlikable person and the fact she thought a simple apology could fix things was childish at best, and scathingly infuriating at worst. Like yes, I do know she wanted to close the idol club for the benefit of everyone else by forcing them to join her group and "become pros'' was a call she had no right to make. Her backstory was weak, being a perfectionist who didn't understand others, with Mia and Shirioko failing to really do anything to try and remedy this, making them bad friends. I will admit, the anime did avoid this but that's due to all the backlash she got from everyone so mission accomplished I guess. She almost ruined Nijigasaki and All Stars as a whole, and will go down as one of the most infamous moments in Love Live history. She's one of two Love Live characters I truly have hatred for. 

Liella: Natsumi and Keke.

The second worst character in all of Love Live after Lanzhu, miss money grubber herself, Natsumi Onitsuka. She is greedy, annoying and an uncaring demon, she is not a gremlin as gremlins have charm, she is pure spawn of Satan. Using Liella for views selfishly, making them sign a contract and having money be her sole personality trait combine to make a foul creature. Mr Krabs, as greedy as he is, has some redeeming features about him, like his true and earnest love for Pearl and fatherly relationship with Spongebob, but Natsumi, she has no redeeming factors. She even tried to get the underclassmen to turn away from the main 5 upperclassmen for her own selfish needs, but was thwarted luckily. She tried to redeem herself in her episode in Season 2 but failed, her reason for being greedy was weak and not compelling at all, just made me more infuriated with her. I truly hate Natsumi with a burning passion

The only thing I hate about Keke is how she is so mean to Sumire. Season 1 it was fun and felt like she was teasing her, but in season 2 it truly felt like she hated Sumire for no reason. She would always bad mouth her and antagonize her even when Sumire had valid points, like distrusting Natsumi for example. Almost every episode was her and Sumire bickering which got really old, really fast.
