Riko's POV

I'm such an idiot, I'm such an idiot, I'm such an idiot.

Why the heck did I run into the darkness with no one?

That was so stupid... I can't see anything. Hanamaru's knife was definitely not real so why was I so scared? Plus Pervert isn't with me so I'm all alone.

I'm such an idiot.

By this point I had stopped running and started walking. I didn't remember where I came from. I made plenty of twist and turns because I learned that when running away you have to not run in a straight line.

Obviously that plan backfired on me... Where was everyone? I don't think I'm still on the path of the test of courage. I actually think I ran pretty far. 

This was so dumb of me, it was just freaking Hanamaru... and now I'm lost. I wandered down another alley. It was about eight or nine o'clock. I gave Chika my phone cause her costume could hold all of our phones.

"Anyone out there?" I called out.

"Yeah, there's someone here." a voice said. Just then three big guys came emerging out of the dark.

"U-um... hello." I said a little scared.

"She's pretty cute." the guy on the left said.

"Whatcha doin out here?" the one on the right asked.

"U-um... I'm lost..." I admitted.

The one in the middle grinned, he was missing a few teeth. "Don't worry, you're home now!" he said before they grabbed me.

"HELP!!!" I yelled as they carried me off into the darkness of the alley never to be seen again.

MC's POV (Yes I'll give him a name very soon)

I was able to gather up everyone rather quickly. Kanan was crying on a bench while Mari patted her head. Ruby and Yoshiko were a little further down the path. Chika and You had already finished. And Hanamaru and Dia were buying us food.

"Guys!" I said after finding everyone, "Riko took off after being scared by Hanamaru. I don't know where she went... Help me look for her." I said before taking off again.

Where could she have gone? This place wasn't even that big but there were a ton of alleys... There was not a lot of people around us. It was now close to ten which meant the trick or treaters were starting to slow down.

The only people out now were teenagers, homeless people, and drug sellers... Oh also there's someone that looks like Riko. 

That's talking to three strangers and oh god they just got picked up. Eh, at least it's not Riko. I turned around and started running the opposite directions. 

"HELP!!!" a terrified scream rang around the area. That was Riko. 

OH GOD!!!

I took off after them. Also calling Chika and everyone else to come help.

"THEY KIDNAPPED RIKO!!!" I yelled.

"WHAT?!?!?!" Chika yelled from the other end.

"WHO?!?!??!" You yelled angrily.

"I don't know but I'll text you guys where we are." I said before hanging up.

I sent the text of the address of the place beside the alley. I quietly followed them. From what I could tell, they haven't done anything from Riko.

That doesn't mean she was safe, they reached the end of the alley and allowed Riko to sit down.

All three of them approached her, I had to do something. An object on the left of me caught my attention. It was a mid sized rock.

"Please don't hit Riko, please don't hit Riko." I prayed before throwing the rock at them.

It hit one of the goons. The guy dropped to the ground like he was shot. The other two guys looked where it came from. 

"Hey!" I called out, "Let her go!" Whoops not the smartest idea. As I was a sixteen year old yelling at two twenty one year old guys that were considerably larger than me.

But that didn't mean I wasn't gonna put up a fight!

"Listen here kid," the leader of the group rolled up his sleeves, "learn your place, stop butting into people's business!" he said before swinging at me. Okay this guy was clearly drunk as it was the worst punch I've ever seen.

I easily side stepped it. "Alright, how about this, we let her go and we all live happily ever after." I asked.

"How about no." as the second guy grabbed me holding me steady. The first guy unloaded his punch as hard as he could. 

Yeah that one definitely hurt. "Stop!" Riko cried out. 

"It's okay, Riko... it doesn't hurt!" I said lying it hurt cause I didn't have time to brace for it. I could taste blood in my mouth and running down the side of my face.

"It doesn't hurt huh?" the guy said as he got ready to punch again. Only to be stopped by someone behind him. Riko? 

She tried to get him off of me only to be pushed back. But this gave me some time to wrench free and get a good right hand in...

But it was clear we couldn't hold them any longer as the guy who I hit with the rock recovered and he looked angry.

I took every punch determined not to fall... and maybe it was the concrete wall on the side of the alley that kept me up, but god dang I was taking hits. 

Okay stand up, you got this. I told my body after they laid off for a little. My brain was okay, my body was messed up.

Just as I was about to get hit once again someone came rushing beside me. Or actually multiple people came rushing beside me.

Next thing I see is You throwing one of them into the wall, Kanan beating up one of the people, Hanamaru throwing her knife at one of them, maybe it is real, and Mari helping Hanamaru.

But the one who was pissed off the most was Yohane. "YOU DARE HURT MY LITTLE DEMONS?!?!?!? YOU SHALL PAY!!!!!!" she said before going absolutely insane beating up all three guys at the same time.

Dia was grabbing their hair and slamming their face into the concrete walls. I wasn't gonna look useless so I also attacked.

"I told you it didn't hurt!" I gave Riko a thumbs up even though I clearly did not look okay. Chika, Ruby, and Kanan were now comforting Riko. 

Okay all three were now unconscious. Wow. That was very violent. But hey, Riko's okay, and so am I- 

Yeah adrenaline kind of ran out right there... "OWWW!" I howled. 

"You okay?" You asked as she was really the only person who really cared that I was still alive. I mean can you blame them? Riko was absolutely petrified. 

"I'm fine I think." I said. "Gotta defend my sorta sister you know?" You nodded, 

"That was pretty heroic of ya." she smiled, "Could've done a little better fighting though, I'll give you an A- for this one." 

"If you guys came a little earlier, I wouldn't be bleeding right now." I said wiping some of the blood off my face.

The cops came, asking what happened, we explained everything and got to go home. They asked if I needed an ambulance. 

"Nah, he'll just rub some dirt on it, he'll be fine." Kanan said. 

"He- he can't even stand up." the cop said confused.

"There." Kanan said as she put me on her shoulders. 

"Okay?" the cop said before taking off. 

Riko sighed, "Halloween is now my least favorite holiday... thanks though Pervert..." she said.

"Eh it's alright... as long as you guys are safe doesn't matter what happens to me." I responded.

And that was true, I truly believed that as long as nothing bad happened to them, I would be okay. Didn't matter what they did to me as long as they're safe.

Because...

Well gosh this is a little embarassing to say but, I for some reason said it...

"Cause I love you guys." 

Wattpad... please don't make me make this mature. Okay so that just happened and I know you guys are gonna be asking whether or not Riko is gonna be bothered by this the rest of her life...

Nah, let's just say that she knows they'll always be there to back her up. So yeah...

Anyways hope you all liked this! I may have to start posting less, but at the same time I feel obligated to give you guys want.
