I wasn't scared anymore

I suggest to you guys that you play the song above here while you are reading, it gives the chapter more emotion. Hope you like it and love you all!!!

When they arrived at the Big Forest, a shiver ran down their spines. That place respected them, and all of them were frightened of what would happen that night.

They were flying in the lastest colours of the sunset, the sun hiding behind the straight line of the sea and the lights slowly turning off; giving way to the dark night, full of mysteries and magic.

Hiccup gulped, but he commanded to land in the nearest clear that they would see. They coulnd't stop until they would have reached the Blue Pond. That was the night that Matriarch had talked him about, the one when the Moon was the brightest and fullest of all times.

Soon, they found that clear and they started walking in the direction they believed that was the right one. They were walking by an abrupt road, full of steep slopes and large slopes. That difficult road added to all the narrow rows of big and leafy trees, and the fact that they were walking almost in gloom; you've got four vikings loosing the little patience they had left.

"Hiccup, are ye sure ya know where' we going?" Mérida asked in disbelief, approaching him with the bow charged and ready to shoot.

Hiccup scratched his head.

"Well, counting on that the Matriarch didn't give me a map..." he smiled sheepisly, knowing that he was completely lost there.

"Do you mean we're lost?!" Astrid asked in anger, looking the both of them with fire in her eyes.

"Oh, don't you worry, I'm sure that fires of Mérida will appear soon" Kristoff sarcastically said, with a tone of joyfull his voice.

Mérida couldn't resist this time and her anger surrounded her, head to toe. Her face went all red and her eyes were in fire. She took the bow and hit Kristoff with it in the head, making him groan in pain.

"Oww!!" he fell in the ground because of the blow, and he looked up only to see two pair of blue eyes mad at him. "Why did you do that?!"

"Because ye're such e fucking fool tha only knows how ta annoy people" Mérida spit off him, still angry. "Tha wil-o'-the-wisps are real, ya big head!"

Kristoff stood up and looked angry at her.

"We haven't seen them! How do you know they are real!" he shouted in her face, make her eyes flame on again.

"'Cos A've seen them!" she approached even more.

"You don't have proofs!"

"Stop!!!!!!" Astrid held Kristoff by his arms and Hiccup grab Mérida from her waist, separating them. "We don't want you death guys, so stop"

"Astrid is right guys, the Moon is almost shining in the sky and we don't have time to argue" Hiccup looked at Kristoff and then at Mérida. They felt guilty then.

"That's not what I've said" Astrid concluded raising a eyebrow, but smiling at him.

Then, the forest got darker and they couldn't see beyond the palm of their hands. They looked at each other, knowing that the way would be jaded and difficult, and they were going to have problems to orient themselves.

But they heard a whisper behind their backs. A little whisper that sound once and then it fade away.

"Do ye guys heard tha?" Mérida asked them in a whisper, no one turning around. She suspected what was that

"Yes. What is the whisper saying? Is it calling us?" Kristoff answered, he wasn't able to move, like no one there.

"I think  it's only calling Mérida" Astrid suggested, hearing the whisper again, this time a little bit louder.

They all shut up, turning around slowly, all their weapons ready. The first one in realize what was the thing that was whispering was Mérida. All her face lit up. She recognize them.

The other three were frowning, insecure of what it was exactly. It seemed like a small floating blue flame, but it has a little body like a person; undefined. Two little undefined arms were indicating them to get close, and the smiling undefined mouth of the flame was whispering "Mérida", loud and clear.

"They're real, guys, A've told ya!" she pointed them with her finger, lighting up the forest with her satisfied smile. She turned around to see the shocked faces of her friends, laughing at them.

"I think someone owns you an apologize" Hiccup added, stunned with the fires floating in front of them.

"Yeah, sure, I'm sorry" Kristoff apologized, as stunned as Astrid and Hiccup.

"Okay, A forgive ye" Mérida smiled satisfied, and started walking. "C'mon guys, they will guide us"

................................

Two hours later...

They were walking in an area where it all was covered by snow and frost. There were naked trees, dressed up with white capes, and a frozen pond was in the middle of the landscape. The Moon was seeing perfectly above in the sky, shining for them. They got nearer, and when they reached the shore of the pond, the wil-o'-the-wisps dissapeared. They all looked at each other, not knowing what to do next.

"And now?" Astrid asked, holding her breath. They were all the way up there walking fast, afraid not to get there in time.

"I suppose we have to wait here" Hiccup shrugged, leaving Toothless and the other dragons resting behind the trees.

"I don't know, but I see the Moon as always" Kristoff sat down behind a tree, but not loosing sight of the pond. The rest of his friends sat down next to him, trying to hide, too.

Then, the light that was shining above started increasing its shine and it grew more silver white. They all looked at the silver dial, which was growing up bigger and bigger, getting fuller every second. They all looked at the show in amazement. A 'woah' scaped from Hiccup's lips. Even the dragons were in completely silence, looking at it, showing respect.

They heard a soft 'crack'. All their eyes were focusing now in the frozen pond. The ice had started cracking.

............................

Darkness. That's the first thing I remember. It was dark, and it was cold, and I was scared. But then, then I saw the Moon. It was so big and it was so bright. It seemed to chase the darkness away. And when it did, I wasn't scared anymore.

I took a couple sofocated breaths, the first ones I remember, too. I was blinking to get my eyes used to the light, looking everywhere. I found myself suspended in the air, but I didn't care. The only thing I could watch at was the Moon. The image of it bring myself peace and calm, my soul was relaxed. I was looking at it with such adoration.

I started to descend slowly, noticing ice under my body. There was a hole there, but as I put my feet there, the hole closed, turning again in ice. I was examinating myself too. That strange sensation of standing there, my pale skin and the long fingers in my hands. My pale , big and thin hands. The brown cape I was wearing covered with delicate frost.

Why I was there and what I was meant to do, that I've never known. And a part of me wonders if I ever will.

I looked again to the Moon, looking for answers. I squinted my eyes, trying to listen if the Moon had to told me anything else. But it didn't.

I exhaled the air I was holding in my lungs, as a sigh of resignation. I tried to take a step forward, but I swallowed in the ice, and I laughed. I heard the tone of my laugh and it was so nice. I looked around looking at the area surrounding me. It was all snowy and tall naked trees were surrounding the frozen pound where I was standing. I smiled at the beauty that place spreaded, and I took another step forward. When my bare feet stepped on something. I looked down with a frown, curiousity running in my veins. It was all new for me, all the sensations.

It was a strange staff, with a rough texture. I touched it with a toe, extranged by the fact that a stick was there lost in the pound.

The part of the staff where I touched it with the toe got covered by frost. I drowned at it as I stopped touching it with the foot. I kneeled down to examine that object that was answering to my touch.

I held it in my hands, and the same thing happened. The staff got covered by frost as my hands touched it, and a suddenly energy surge ran down my hole body to end in the staff. It shook himself and I let it scape for a moment, causing that one end of it hit the thick layer of ice covering the pond. More frost was spread by that end that hit the ice, creating amazing drawings in the surface, making myself to look at it completely amazed.

I stood up as an idea was going around my head. I held the staff in my hands, and with the 'G' end form, I hit a tree softly. Frost spread out and covered part of the tree, happening the same as before. I touched it as the frost was drawn, my mouth widen, but then, it transformed it into a smile.

I looked at the tree next to me and did the same. Frost covered the trunk, and I laughed. I discovered that day that I loved laughing. The sensation I had laughing was so nice and it felt so great.

I started running in the pond, making the staff swallow in the cold surface, creating more and more drawings of frost, making me laugh louder. I almost fell a couple of times, tough. Suddenly, a draft of air elevated me above the trees, seeing all the landscape below my feet. I continued floating a few more seconds, when I felt myself falling again. I landed in a tree  branch as I held it funny. I smiled naughty, when something caught my eye.

It was a girl, walking softly in the frozen pond, looking everywhere.

"What am I supose to see, Mérida?" she asked out loud, searching something with both of her eyes.

I smiled at myself, happy for founding someone like me, who would tell me where I was.

I tried to fly like minutes ago, falling in my tries and hitting myselft with branches and trunks. Finally I landed stumbling with my own feet and falling in the ice again. But I stood up quickly, removing some frost from my cape. I stared for a couple of seconds at her. Her hair was blond and combed in a side strange long braid, and a ribbon was crosing her forehead. Her blue eyes were looking around a bit scared; she had round nose and thin lips. She was wearing a very strange clothes: a short skirt with studs, spikes and metal skulls, under a pair of blue skinny troursers, and her feet were covered by a thick brown furry boots. A big axe was holding in her back.

I waved at her as I walked nearer, while she was talking out loud alone again.

"Mer, is he behind me?" she asked out of nowhere, stopping suddenly where she was, shocked. All her muscles had tensed up, and I couldn't help but smile.

"Good evening, ma'am" I said to her smiling happily. She didn't move, but I continued talking. "Ma'am, excuse me. Can you tell me where I am?"

As I finished saying this words, she turned around and passed trough my body, making me gasp.

New chapter updated!!! I'm so happy that I finally could write this. It was so hard for me to organize all my ideas and trying to shape all the feelings and the sensations... That I don't even know if I wrote it right or if you understand what I'm trying to transmit to you.
