Chapter Four
So, Todd was going to be another day since the client requested he stay. So the talk had been pushed back yet again.
It was fine, I had spent the day as usual, my morning workout after breakfast and after workout shower and then lunch before I headed out to meet my sister.
It had been ages since I saw her.
We were twins actually, obviously not identical but we were very similar. Personality wise at least.
She was sought after by many men, but sadly for them, my sister was very much a lesbian in the same way I was gay.
She was an attractive woman. Buff arms and thighs with a steel like core and abs, piercing silver eyes and yet she was feminine. Her long black hair, which was usually tied up, trailed past her waist in delicate curls, and she had dainty hands, girlish features...
So it was always a shock when she delivered a sharp smack or punch or kick.
It hurt.
Having been on the receiving end when we were younger, I could guarantee that much.
She asked we meet up for tea, so naturally, Starbucks.
I saw her waiting at a table inside, sipping some cheap drink in a tall. Tiny.
"Hey Elly, long time no see."
She glanced up, smirking at me, "go get your drink so we can talk."
Which I did. As I did, the two of us left to walk and talk.
"How have your travels been?" I asked.
She shrugged, "good I suppose. I've met so many different people and they all are so kind, so I'm not stopping anytime soon."
"That's good."
"So, how is it at the Grace mansion? They still treating you well?"
I chuckled lightly, nudging her, "of course they are! They even told me to say hello to you."
"Mmmhmmm." She smirked before saying anything, "how about your massive crush on all of them?"
"Three of them want to Dick me down so that's an experience."
She stopped dead in her tracks. "What?"
I realized what I said, "so, Todd, Mark and Connor all confessed they like me and want to be in an open relationship with me. We were actually going to talk about it when Todd got back."
"What's next, Richard Grace is going to hit on you?" She snorted, laughing a bit.
"Only in my fantasies. I'm glad you're taking the news well."
She stopped laughing enough to shrug before answering, "you talk about it all the time, I'm not surprised at all."
"If it wasn't the fact we had other siblings, there'd be no way the family name is continued."
"Agreed. Both of us are gay and I got rid of my uterus a long time ago," my sister agreed. "So, who made the first move?"
"It was Todd. He hit on me during a workout and we groped each other a bit."
"Gross. Who was next?"
"Connor. He distracted me in the middle of me playing games."
"And mark?"
"He was giving me a back massage when he confessed."
"Impressive. Any of them pop your cherry?"
I felt heat flood my cheeks, "Elly!"
"I'm just joking!" She assured.
"Ugh, a bad one. And no, the answer is no."
She bumped me playfully, smiling, "well, I'm happy for you either way. Stay safe and don't forget I'm in your corner. If they ever hurt you, just call me."
"Obviously."
We laughed together and looked around some small shops.
We never did anything big when we met up, just hung out as friends did. We were twins, yet followed vastly separate paths in life.
And when dinner was close, we parted.
"I'll be in town for the next few days, so call if you want to meet up," she informed.
"I will. Love you."
"Love you too, you nerd."
Then we parted.
When dinner rolled around, I saw everyone was present. Todd was back, mark sitting beside him, Connor in his usual seat and Richard at the head of the table.
When I sat down, food was placed.
And the questions started.
"How has Elaine been?" Richard asked politely.
I smiled, "she's been good! Elly told me about how much fun she's been having while traveling so I'm happy for her."
"Is she still single?" Richard asked curiously.
"Single as ever. She's not really looking for a relationship right now," I informed.
"Do you ever think she'll settle down with a nice husband?" Mark asked jokingly.
I snorted, "the only thing the two of us have in common is how gay we are. She is never finding a husband."
And for some reason, the air got thick. As if this was news.
"You're both gay?" Todd prodded.
I shrugged, "yeah? I thought we were both obvious about that? We joke about it all the time. If we didn't have other siblings, our family name would die out with us."
"I never knew you were gay," Richard commented.
Had i never said anything? Todd, Connor and Mark didn't bother to ask so I just assumed they knew.
"I hope that doesn't make you uncomfortable. I didn't think it was the most important thing to say."
He shook his head, "no, no, it's alright. I just didn't expect to hear that."
"That's fair I suppose." My brows furrowed, glancing around the other three, "I thought you guys knew." They all shook their heads and I sighed, "well now you know."
"I know this is a rather odd question, but how did you know?" Connor asked curiously.
"I've known for a long time. My first crush was a guy. I just never found women attractive in that way." I wasn't mentioning said guy was Richard Grace, but still.
Richard seemed slightly intrigued by this, "so how old were you when you realized?"
"I think about ten? But everything became really obvious when puberty hit and I didn't like girls. I mean, when you always find yourself thinking over the same people, all guys, it's pretty obvious." I admitted it without thought. "To be fair, I've only ever been attracted to four different people in my life, and my feelings for them haven't changed."
And then, I realized what I said.
There was only four people I was ever interested in. Todd, Connor and Mark must've been aware they were the three. But what if the fourth? Who could that man be?
Hopefully they never guessed it.
"The same four men? Interesting," Todd said quietly to himself.
"Wonder who they could all be to hold your attention this long."
I hated the way Richard said it. It felt almost mocking and made my skin crawl.
I found my tone turn bitter, "well, they were people I thought i could trust and feel comfortable with."
"Were?"
"Can you all stop treating me like a science experiment? These questions aren't appropriate the way you're using them."
"Tim-"
"Now, if we're done prodding at my sexuality, I'd like to excuse myself. I've lost my appetite. Have a nice meal." I got up suddenly and left, feeling the air shift as if they all realized what had just happened.
I went to my room and locked the door, falling flat on my face.
Right now, I didn't want to see any of them.
