When Haoxuan came to the hospital, and talked to Zhan, Yibo finally thought that he could leave, he needed to get a shower and then eat something before getting Luhan back from Sarah's house and coming back to the hospital, that was a lot of work.

When Yibo reached Sarah's house to get Luhan, he met someone that he wasn't expecting.

It was Sarah's father.

Yibo was taken aback after seeing him, it has been a long time since he met Sarah's father, he only remembered him from the time when he was little.

And it has been at least two decades since then.

"Who are you and why are you here?" he asked in his rough voice, Yibo replied, "I am here to take Luhan."

"Who are you to him?"

"I am his uncle."

"Ah... so you are Yibo?" Sarah's father said and Yibo nodded.

Sarah's father suddenly went quiet and looked at Yibo, seeing him go all quiet and silent made Yibo a little uncomfortable and he wanted to get away from here.

Yibo cleared his throat and said, "let me get Luhan, Mr. Sinclair."

Sarah's father just eyed him and moved to the side while Yibo called out Luhan who came back running to him, "Uncle!"

Yibo smiled as he picked him up and Luhan hugged him, "Uncle where di you go? You didn't come back and Dad didn't come back too, I had to be alone for Christmas, where did all of you go?"

Yibo gently patted his back and said, "I am sorry dear, but your dad got a little injured and he was not well so we had to take him to doctor. Do you want to go to him?"

"Yes." Luhan said in a slow and timid voice.

Yibo gently hugged him before he looked at Sarah's father gave him a slight nod and walked away with Luhan.

"Dad!" Luhan said as he rushed to Zhan.

"Hello darling." Zhan said with a smile.

"What happened to you?" Luhan asked as he sat on the bed.

"I got a little injured."

"It must be hurt a lot."

"A little bit."

Yibo smiled as he looked at the two, however now that everything was alright, Yibo felt really tried and sleepy, he hasn't had a good sleep and hasn't eaten much ever since Zhan's accident.

He yawned as he sat down on the sofa, while Zhan played with Luhan, and after a while Zhan said, "you should go back home and get some sleep. Take Luhan back as well."

Yibo looked at him and said, "I will come back after sometime..."

"Yibo just get some sleep, I can see that you are having trouble in keeping your eyes open, it's not good for your health, how re you going to take care of me and Luhan like this?"

Yibo rolled his eyes and said, "worry about yourself."

Zhan smiled as he said, "I will, but you should leave with him, my grandfather is coming here."

Yibo became a little concerned, "Why?"

"What why? Of course, he is coming to check up on me."

Yibo nodded with an expressionless face and said, "nice. Come on Luhan let's leave."

Luhan gave Zhan a kiss on the cheek before he got down from the bed and held Yibo's hand, "bye dad."

"Bye son." Zhan said.

Once Yibo came out with Luhan they were met with Haoxuan who said, "Mr, Wang please come with me, I will escort you out through another exit."

Yibo did as he was told, "why another exit?" he asked.

Haoxuan spoke, "Mr. Xiao does not want to take any risks."

"I see."

"How are you feeling now?" Zhan's grandfather asked.

"I feel good now." Zhan said, "Are you happy to see me alive grandpa?"

"What kind of question is that? Of course I am happy to see that my grandson is alive."

"But your children are not happy with me being alive." Zhan said.

His grandfather sighed, "What do you expect."

"Nothing, it's just grandpa you failed at raising kids." Zhan said and his grandfather glared at him, "just because I am lenient with you, does not mean that you have the right to disrespect me Zhan!"

Zhan laughed, "lenient with me? Grandpa you are a spineless man who never knew how to control his kids or give them good values."

"Zhan! You have no right to talk to me like that, looking after the kids was the job of your grandmother and not mine, I was busy expanding the very business that is under your command! Be a little more grateful you brat!

You are the CEO because of me! You are rich because I have worked hard for the business that you are going to inherit!"

Zhan nodded, "fair enough, but grandpa I no longer want to be the CEO of the company."

Zhan's grandfather was surprise he felt the ground vanishing from under his feet when he heard that, "What the hell did you say?"

"I said that I don't want to be the CEO anymore, I want to resign and I want to leave the Xiao family!"

His grandfather was breathing heavily and was fuming with rage, "how can you say something like that! You selfish, ungrateful brat! After everything that I have done for you, you want to run away from your responsibilities?! Do you even know what you are saying?"

"I know what I am saying and I am not going to change my decision!"

"If you want to leave the family then give up your shares, and each and everything that is given to you by the Xiao family you heard that! All the properties, all the cars, cards everything!"

"Take it back I don't care." Zhan said without any care in the world and his this laid back attitude was something that annoyed the hell out of his grandpa, he was so angry that his face turned red.

His grandfather felt like he was going to vomit blood because of anger, "you! You! You! I am so done with your crap! You dared to play with my company and you dared to play with me!"

Zhan looked at his grandfather and it was not that he thinks that perhaps he hit the wrong nerve because he had never seen his grandfather behave like this or react so strongly to anything.

Zhan suddenly thought that perhaps his grandfather disliked his arrogance but he didn't really care and he wouldn't have cared until now, he didn't want his grandfather as his enemy, because the only person above him was his grandfather and the only one with more power than him, more influence than him.

And his grandfather was the person that he had to be scared of, "Grandpa, you are misunderstanding me, I am not playing with you, I am just worried about my life your children hate me and what happened to me was not an accident it was done by someone in the family and I know it.

My mom and dad have sucked my blood since I was a child and were even ready to forcefully take my kidney, your grandson Zach was interfering in my life and leaking the company secrets, and uncle and aunt they leave no chance to taunt me or curse me, how am I wrong to leave the place where I am not wanted or respected? You don't do anything to stop them as well, I am just trying to save my life, besides for me the company, power or shares are not more important than my life, If I had died today, what would you have done anyways?"

His grandfather seemed to have calmed down after hearing that and Zhan said, "I am not safe here and that's why I want to leave, you can make dad, or uncle the CEO or perhaps Zach, I am sure they can handle the company better than me. But please grandpa I want to leave."

Zhan's grandfather was not a fool to now know what kind of people his kids were, they were all unfit to handle the company, his two sons were idiots who were not fit to make decisions, Zhan's father is not that strong to be the leader while his uncle was an idiot who never knew how to work hard.

And as for the two women, one was dumb and the other was selfish and greedy. And as for Zach, someone who leaked the important information of the company can never be trusted and Zhan's grandfather wanted the company to go to someone who was worthy and it would be even better if that someone was related to him by blood and Zhan was both, Zhan shared the same blood as him and he was worthy and cunning as well.

In the beginning he was obedient and easy to control but now he is changed and not that easy to control.

His grandpa glared at Zhan and said, "what do you want?"

Zhan smiled and said, "it's very simple I want peace. I don't want to be anywhere near the people who are always taunting me and calling me a selfish murderer, I don't want to be anywhere near the people who had once tried to kill me.

Grandpa I know that asking you to get rid of your children would be a very cruel thing to do since I know you love them so I am the one who wants to go my separate way since I am the problem." Zhan cringed at the last sentence, he was not used to talking to people like this, talking to please and this was something new, but he knew that he had to do it so his grandfather would not turn against him.

Because if grandfather decided that to kill him or ruin him then Zhan might really have no chance.

"You better get healed before we talk again!" his grandfather said and got up, "And Zhan you better learn to respect because I never forgive the people who try to go against me! I have been forgiving your arrogant behaviour but not this time, if you dared to think that I will beg before you or try to please you then you are mistaken for thinking like that and I will not tolerate that." He said sternly it was clear that he had taken this on his ego and pride.

He would rather ruin Zhan for going against him just for the satisfaction of his ego and pride rather than letting him go and live peacefully and Zhan realized that too. And that was why he was worried now.
