"Karma is really a bitch." Yibo grumbled, "Why does Zhan have to suffer and these people are roaming free? Why is it always like this? People who are supposed to take care of their children make their life hell and these kinds of people are living their best life while the people who were abused all their life have to suffer so much!

Why! Why!"

He yelled at the top of his lungs as he came to the rooftop of the hospital. Sarah kept her hand over his shoulder and he spoke, "It was supposed to be my parents who suffered, why did my sister and I have to suffer? Why does Zhan have to suffer and not his family? And I can't do anything about this because I am not related to him at all!"

Sarah gently rubbed his back, "We will find a way..."

"What way, Sarah, what way?" Yibo spoke.

Suddenly Haoxuan came there, and Yibo asked, "Did they leave?"

"For now, they have left, but."

Yibo spoke. "But what?" he asked.

Haoxuan rubbed his face and said, "I think they are going to get legal help in order to reach Luhan, I am sure they are already searching for him, fucking creeps are hellbent on finding him.

And I am scared about Mr. Xiao's safety as well. With how insane his family is, they might try to get him killed just to get Luhan."

Sarah kept her hand over her head, "What about his grandfather? Did you inform him?"

"I did talk to him, but he said that no one will harm Zhan and that I was making a big deal of this matter; he is taking this way too lightly!"

Yibo spoke, "Is there not a single person who can come to his aid right now?"

Haoxuan was quiet, and Sarah said, "Zane would."

Yibo looked at her and had no idea what to say, what an irony that the only person who perhaps cared for Zhan was dead.

Yibo closed his eyes and sighed. "Then I guess we just have to wait for Zhan to wake up, I am not going anywhere till he wakes up. I am sure that his family is not going to come here to bother him since they will be searching for Luhan."

Sarah then said, "Then what are you going to do about Luhan? You should take him and run."

Yibo shook his head and said, "I am not going to run; let them come after me; I don't care."

Sarah spoke, "but Yibo..."

"Sarah, I will kill them if all my other methods fail before they lay a hand on Luhan." Yibo said, "Let's wait for him to wake up."

"He is out of danger now." The doctor said and finally, Yibo thought that he could breathe.

He asked, "When will he wake up?"

"He should be awake soon, but we have to be patient."

Yibo smiled and said, "That's great." He then looked at Sarah, "Sarah go back home, and please, just for sometime take care of Luhan."

Sarah nodded. "What about you?"

"I will stay here till he wakes up. You know I won't be able to do anything till he is awake." Yibo said.

Hence, Yibo stayed back while Sarah went back home.

Zhan did not wake up for a long time, and the longer he took, the more worried and anxious Yibo was getting. Zhan was shifted to another room and when Yibo saw him lying unconscious and connected to the machines, his heart ached, Zhan had a broken hand and a head injury. Other than that, he had several other bruises and cuts.

He was sitting beside Zhan holding his hand, and praying to every god that he had heard about, begging to Zhan to open his eyes and wake up.

Talk to him, say something to him; even if he wanted to curse him then it was fine.

"You said that you wanted to take Luhan to the beach, right?" Yibo said, "For that, you have to get up, Luhan wanted to celebrate Christmas with us, but we missed that chance so you have to wake up before new year, you missed your first Christmas with him, you can't miss the first new year." Yibo mumbled.

Zhan still did not move as he laid there silently, and Yibo sighed. As he kept his head against his hand, suddenly he felt some movement, he quickly became alert and looked at Zhan, at first, he thought that he might be dreaming but he wasn't Zhan really moved, and when Yibo saw that Zhan was slowly opened his eyes, he wasted no time and rushed to call the doctors.

The doctors quickly rushed in the room and checked on Zhan, while Yibo informed Haoxuan and Sarah as well.

After the doctors came and checked on Zhan, he once again fell asleep.

"How is he doctor?"

"All the things seem to be okay for now. Let's wait for him to wake up again."

Once the doctors were gone Yibo was alone in the room again. While he waited for Zhan to get up, he felt sleepy and tired so he decided to go and wash his face with cold water. However,  once he came out he saw someone else in the room, and it was none other than Zhan's aunt. She was standing near Zhan and was holding his hand, but since her back was facing Yibo, he didn't know what she was doing.

"What are you doing?" Yibo spoke.

Zhan's aunt jumped as she turned around and saw Yibo as if she had seen a ghost, so she asked, "I came to check on him; who are you and why are you?"

"I am here to take care of him; you can call me his caretaker," Yibo said as he stood near Zhan, while his aunt turned to the other side and did something in her purse.

Yibo just looked at her suspiciously and said nothing. she turned to him and said, "I am his family, and since I am here, you can leave."

"I am sorry, but I don't follow any order given by anyone other than Mr. Xiao." Yibo said, "After all, his safety is my top concern."

Zhan's aunt became annoyed as she said, "Who are you to talk to me like that?"

"I am his bodyguard; naturally, I am not going to leave him alone."

"I am his family."

"He said that his family wanted to kill him, so I guess you are one of them."

"How dare you!-"

"I trust him; I am just repeating his words to you. If you want to see him so badly, then you can come when he is awake."

The two stared at each other, and Yibo was not going to back down; even Zhan's aunt knew that, so she huffed and just walked out.

Once she was gone, Yibo sighed and sat on the chair. "Bitch."

"Exactly."

Yibo got scared when he heard another voice and calmed down when he saw Zhan looking at him, Yibo kept his hand over his chest and said, "Gosh... you are going to give me a heart attack at this rate... how are you... Wait, let me call the doctor."

Yibo called the nurse and then he went back to Zhan. The doctors checked on Zhan and asked, "How do you feel Mr. Xiao?"

"My body hurts, and I feel numbness in my legs."

The doctor nodded, "We will run a few more tests on you, can you feel your legs or move them?"

"I can feel them."

Yibo closed his eyes and sighed when he heard Zhan say that, his heart started to beat once again.

The doctors said that Zhan might have suffered from a psychological shock and it will take some time to get back to normal. After sometime the doctor left and once again Yibo was alone with Zhan.

"Bodyguard huh?" Zhan said with a smirk.

Yibo smiled as well, "just go back to sleep."

"Why are you giving me order? I am supposed to be the one to give you order right? Since you don't follow any one else's order other than mine?"

Yibo kept his hand over his head and asked, "How much did you hear?"

"I also heard that you are my caretaker."

Yibo groaned, and Zhan said, "I am going to give you an order."

"What is it?"

"I order you to kiss me."

Author's note: Gosh now that we are on 49th chapter I have realized that this book has the least amount of kisses and I am not even sure if this will have any smut, since this book is already so tense.
