Vlyad pulled an apron over his chest; twisting the strings around his lower back. He adjusted his name tag, before walking to the cash register. Katelyn, his co-worker walked by; "The usual?" She chirped; already snatching some of her ingredients. Vlyad took all the orders, whilst Katelyn made all the drinks. She always made Vlyad a hot chocolate to start off the day.
Vlyad nodded his head, clicking a few buttons. "Yeah that would be great!" He smiled, "I'll be in bathroom, be right back!" He smiled, slipping into the back room.
"I'll have it ready when you're done!" Katelyn chuckled, grabbing a plastic cup.
She looked up as she heard the bell rung; seeing a familiar blunette. "Yo, Dante!" She bellowed.
Dante looked up once his name was called, he tilted his head, sniffling towards the counter. "Hey Katelyn." He greeted, doing that dude nod.
"You're here early." She remarked. It was true, Dante was never there until eleven or twelve o'clock.
Dante rolled his eyes; keeping his hands on the stone brick counter. "Yeah well, I got my letter today!" He whispered.
Katelyn gasped, her hands skillfully making Vlyad's drink below the counter as she made eye contact with Dante. "Really? Who did you get~?" She cooed.
Dante rolled his eyes. "Someone named Vlyad." He shrugged, Katelyn gasped again.
"Stay right here." She demanded.
Dante cocked an eyebrow, shifting his feet. "What, why?"
"Just trust me!" She whispered-yelled. In a flash she put down the hot chocolate she held, the mocca colored drink splashing over the brim gently. She raced around the counter, her feet skidding at the contact. She arrived at the washroom's door; knocking furiously. Vlyad's voice rang through the hardwood door.
"One Second!"
"Vlyadddd!" Katelyn whined, furiously slamming her fist against the door.
Vlyad opened the door, an eyebrow cocked. "Katelyn what the fuck?!" He hissed.
"Shhhhh! Come with me!" She smiled intensly, the younger merely raised an eyebrow.
Vlyad reached forward, his hand brushing against the elder's forehead. "Are you okay?"
"Yes! Now come on!"
Katelyn pushed Vlyad into the front room against his efforts to understand what was happening. Dante had stayed right where he was asked to, keeping his back to the counter and looking at the musty streets outside the window. Katelyn placed Vlyad right in front of Dante, patting his his back. "Take his order!" Was all she said before walking back to her own station.
Vlyad rose an eyebrow at the odd behavior but brushed it off. He'd seen worse. The brunette tapped Dante's shoulder; "Excuse me? Can I take your order?"
Dante looked around his shoulder and my goodness, he'd blushed extremely. Vlyad stood there, his hair was messy; falling over his face in un-neat strands. His beautiful green eyes glimmered in the coffee shop's dim lights, highlighting his skin. His collarbones were shown from his over sized V-neck shirt.
Dante wasn't the only one blushing, Vlyad had a crystal wine red haze sparkle over his face. Dante's hair was neatly slicked, probably from all the gel. The older kept his hands in his pockets, looking down at the younger. His navy blue eyes widened a bit, the moment he got a clear look at Vlyad.
"U-Uh... H-hi, Dante right?" Vlyad sputtered, feeling his organs twist inside his body.
"Oh! Y-yeah, you are Vlyad?" Dante questioned, titling his head.
Vlyad nodded his head. "Yeah, that's me." He sewn a dorky smile into his teeth, looking up at Dante.
And that's when Dante felt it. That something everyone always talked about. It was like a gong in his chest, loudly ringing in his entire body for the first time. He shivered at the feeling, putting on a flustered smile. "Nice to meet you."
"It's nice to see, meet, no see? You?" Vlyad stumbled upon his words.
Oh fuck that was really cute. . . Dante thought to himself. The blunette chuckled, he stuffed his hands into his pockets; looking to the floor. "Same to you."
Vlyad put his hands into his mocha brown apron, his fingertip pressing down onto one of his pens. "I..um," He sputtered, thinking of something to say. "We, should talk right?" He said; his green eyes locking with blue one above him.
"Right..." Dante nodded in agreement, titling his head to the side a bit.
Vlyad bit his lip, "My shift ends in an hour, would you mind waiting until then?" He asked, a smiling pulling at his lips.
Dante chuckled, running his hands hands through his hair. "Yeah, of course...I'll be over there." He smiled, pointing his thumb to an empty table in the corner of the coffee shop.
Vlyad nodded, sputtering a tiny bit, "O-oh of course... I'll s-see you in a bit..."
