Sometimes waiting is the hardest thing of all.

chapter 11:

I was just hoping that Divya would read the letter.

ARVIND POV:

I kept tossing in my bed all night. I woke up at the crack of dawn and got freshened up lazily. I opened the door before Lalitha didi came and started watching T.V. I tried to deviate my mind in various ways but couldn't.

Lalitha didi was shocked seeing me awake so early in the morning. Usually, her bell ring is a wake-up call for me, but not today. She hasn't said anything to me; instead, she got her skates on to finish her work quickly. I realized that she came half an hour earlier than her usual time. She winded up the whole task within an hour and left hastily.

It's 7:00 a.m; in the morning. I wanted to call Sunil, but that idiot will kill me for waking him up so early and for no reason. My sister wakes up early. She attended my call within seconds.

"Arvind...you called me. That too this early. Is everything OK?"

"Nothing sis... Today I woke up early and want to say something."

"hmm.. tell me...what's up?"

"My examination result will be out in 4 days "

"oh OK...do not worry, you will definitely pass. I know you..."

Frankly, I wasn't worried about my exam result but was more concerned about my love result.

We spoke for a few more minutes, and I felt relaxed after talking to her.

Sunil and I met at our familiar spot.

ARVIND POV:

"Sunil...what do you think? Will she accept my proposal? "

"This is a million-dollar question bro...Only God knows it"

It was excruciating me from within. Every second was passing dead slow.

"come on bro.. we should kill time right now or otherwise you would kill me with your nervous questions", he said with a grin.

"How about going to a movie? Even you need to free your mind with all your unanswerable questions," Sunil suggested.

"OK", I gestured. Though I was not interested. After all, I need to pass the time in some or the other way.

We went to the movie and killed 3 hours successfully. Later, we both had lunch at my home.

At Moosapet exhibition:

ARVIND POV:

The exhibition arena is fully crowded. We were waiting for Divya near the Giant wheel.

"Do you think she will come?"I questioned. This has been the 20th or even more in asking the same question.

"Bro...it's only 6:20 P.m. Let's wait for 20 more minutes."

He had a better experience in waiting for Kavya. According to him, girls will always be late, especially when they come to meet their boyfriends.

While I was scanning in all directions, I could see a familiar face approaching us, it made me more nervous.

I pinched Sunil's waist to drag his attention and gestured to him that she is coming. Sunil tilted his head in the direction I pointed, and he turned pale. I couldn't understand his reaction and turned my head towards her again.

OMG. Sunil's dull face makes sense. Divya came with her sister Navya. In the excitement of seeing my angel, I forgot to notice the devil beside her. Navya's presence made Sunil turn pale.

The twin sisters soon approached us. Sunil did not even dare to raise his head.

"Hi," Divya said very casually.

I was taken aback. I cleared my throat and greeted back, "hi," to sisters.

They both smiled at me. Navya murmured something in Divya's ear, and they both giggled.

"I too love you," Navya said to me, blushing and ran away from the spot.

Divya started laughing, looking in her direction.

"Navya wants your phone number. Could you give me?" she asked.

I stood there, struck by a thunderbolt. What did I hear just now? Is this all real. No word came from my mouth.

Divya asked again, "Can you give your number please.."

I told my number in a trance.

Every time, when I see Divya, I would be in a trance mode. This time, I was OK by seeing her. But, it's a big bang shock which Navya gave me.

"OK, see you. Navya will call you soon", Divya said with a smile and walked away in the direction they came in.

What has just happened? Navya just dropped a bombshell. I couldn't make out anything from this.

I turned to my buddy. I saw his jaw-dropping face. Perhaps, even he couldn't come out of the shock.

We stood there for 15 minutes, speechless.

"Bro, what is this? How come Navya proposed to me? That, too, by coming with Divya. I am doomed."

"Now, what should I cry about? For Divya, not understanding my love or the navya whom I never imagined is interested in me. What's happening, and where will this lead to?"I asked.

"Bro, let me think. Even I need to understand what went wrong?"Sunil replied.
