Before we start, I'd like to thank MarieRoberts3 For her awesome new covers for this book! The one I'm currently using is one of her works ;D She has a book called Lookin' Good ;) for book covers.

Thank you!

Kuin's POV

Takuto: "...You're there."

As he said, the elevator doors opened to a dark passageway. Brushing a piece of my hair to the side, I presume to walk down the hall.

Takuto: "Keep going, at the end of this hall it's supposed to be at the back of the auction hall. Go through the last door on your right up to the balcony, and then through there, down to the back of the stage."

I did as told, there were only a few secluded people seated in the auction hall, and since it was dark, nobody can notice me up here. I strode calmly all the way until the end and then descended down the stairs.

Takuto: "First door on your left, and it'll lead you to the back of the stage."

"Whoa." As soon as I pulled back the curtain, my eyebrows raised a little, "they sure are loaded."

Takuto: "Yeah, it'd take forever. Just find the painting."

"Alright." Just as I said that, I felt the slightest shaking of the floorboard, and immediately I knew someone was coming.

I quickly scanned my surroundings. As if it's designed to be impossible to hide in, there aren't any spaces, not even a corner in which I can squeeze in.

Takuto: "There's an extra storage room up ahead! Pick the lock quickly!"

As I run towards the rusty door at the end of the back storage, I take out one of my pins that's holding up my bun.

"Come on...." I mumbled as I twisted the pin in the lock hole until I heard a small 'click'.

I got a glance of a hand pulling back the curtains from where I entered just as I silently closed the extra storage door.

"Put it in that extra room, just in case. I have the key."

Oh great.

As the footsteps got closer, I jumped up and grabbed the upper frame of the door and swung myself up. I supported my weight on the thin frame—something I learned to master in my mafia days.

I remember I did the same on the railing of my apartment bedroom when the Black Foxes first came to get me. Or... as they say, the second time, since I supposedly lost my memories.

The lock jiggled, and then the door was pushed open. My eyes shined when I saw that an easel with a cloth covering a rectangular-shaped thing being carried in. This might be just what I'm looking for.

"This should be safe." I hear someone else who's outside the door speak, "guard in front of the door in case any thieves come by."

I waited until the door clicked locked, then I pressed onto my earpiece, "Are there any other exits from inside this room?"

Takuto: "Unless you dig a tunnel, nope."

I was about to say something...

Takuto: "And don't dig a tunnel."

"I wasn't going to say that." I whispered, "You got a plan, blondie?"

"Need some help?" For the first time, Hiro's voice came through the receiver.

"No, if you come now you'd—" Before I could finish my sentence, a faint thud could be heard in front of the door.

"You know, accepting others' help is also a strength, Kuin. We're here for you, too." Kenshi's voice rings through the earpiece.

I smiled, "thanks, guys."

Hopping onto the ground, I twisted the door knob. There stood Kenshi and Hiro.

Hiro examines the painting, "yup, this is real."

Takuto: "Move fast, the auctioneers are on their way to get the first items!"

We stepped past the guard from before, who's not out on the ground, and sprinted as fast as we could all the way around from where we came.

Takuto: "Don't run, it'll make you look suspicious. Act like normal guests."

As we got to the upper balcony, we did as told. Nobody took a second glance at the cloth Kenshi was holding, they probably assumed we were sellers.

Takuto: "Don't draw attention to yourselves."

I let out a small sigh in relief when we arrived at the back of the restaurant. Mission accompl—

Riki: "Don't let your guard down!"

"Leader? Where are you?" Hiro says through the earpiece.

"I saw something over there!" a distant shout was heard. They found out sooner than we thought...!

Riki: "I'm driving the van over, hop on!"

Just as he said that, I already saw glimpses of flashlights around the building. I pulled up the neck of my sweater up over my nose. Just in case something happens, they won't be able to see my face.

The sound of a roaring engine became clearer as well. Soon as the van appeared flying towards us, Takuto was holding open the door.

"Let's go!"

Hiro jumped onto the van first, I glanced back. A group of people had just turned the corner of the building. I quickly pull out two more Bobbi pins that was holding up my hair, letting it fall down in a ponytail so they won't recognize my hair style.

"There they are!" As one of them shouted, Kenshi had just safely carried the painting onto the van along with himself.

One of the people had a camera. They were getting extremely close I can already make out their faces.

"Hurry up!" Takuto yelled as he reached out his arm to me. I grabbed on and just as my right foot boarded the van, it started driving.

I was about to get pulled up when I felt a gloved hand grabbing onto my left ankle.

"They have the painting! Capture them at all costs!"

"Shit." I grumbled as I tried to shake the hand off, they were holding on pretty firmly considering the van was already going 60km/hr. This'll definitely make a scene if he holds on until we get out in the road.

They have plenty of excuses, like if we stole a painting that was originally in their gallery. Either way, we'll be in more trouble, no doubt.

"Lillie! Hold on!" Takuto says as he grabs onto both of my arms, trying to pull me into the van.

Trusting that he will hold onto my arms, I kicked back my other leg and attempted to kick my grabber on his forehead. But he must be well-trained, and I can't fight well in this position, he blocked my attack. My heels could've cracked his skull if he didn't.

I glanced forward, the road was getting closer into view.

"Hahh... how I can't say I miss this excitement." I muttered to myself, then I look Takuto in the eyes, "let go."

He frowned, "what? No w—"

There was no time left to convince him so I grabbed onto his inner arms, and twisted them outwards, forcefully making him lose grip.

All the Black Foxes yelled when I fell back, but the van doesn't stop.

Riki: "Kuin, I trust you have a plan."

"Thanks." I say back as the van just turned to the main road.

"Ha! I've got you now!" my attacker says in victory. Making sure my sweater neck was still over my face, I jumped my other leg up and smashed the front my heel into his temple. He's probably only doing his job, but, this is a kill or be killed situation.

Unconscious, he went limp as he fell to the ground. That'll keep him out for weeks straight.

I then look up to the group of at least fifteen people charging at me. Ugh, I'd be world-famous if I were to shoot action movies. But then again I don't want to draw attention.

As the first two people came up, I leg swept them and then knocked them out with my heels. They were designed to look good, and be useful in fights. However not comfortable at all.

*Bang*

I even felt the swish of a bullet past my hand. Damn, they're armed.

I moved around to dodge attacks, and tried my best not to physically harm them too much as I knocked them out.

Ultimately, the remaining conscious ones all came up to me at once. Having not engaged in such brutal battles in a long time, AND I'm not armed at all, I ended up having a blade cut at my lower thigh.

"Oh ho, now you really did it." I gritted as I threw a palm strike and then kicked them where the sun don't shine.

I slammed another's head straight into the building wall, blood streaked down as he also slid to the bottom.

I started to feel the wound burning but there were still three more standing. They backed up a few steps when I landed my gaze on them.

"Come get me in a minute." I spoke into the earpiece before I started walking towards my three last victims.

Riki: "Already here."

They started shivering as I inched closer. Ha, I'd missed the feeling of crushing weaklings.

Finally, a braver one seem to make up his minds, as he took out a laser stick.

He ran towards me in a challenging manner, but the fear in his eyes gave him away. As he pointed the stick towards me, I moved to his outside, tripped him, then grabbed his arm as I kick him to the ground. In that kind of bent position, it wasn't hard to chuck the stick out of his hand and use it on him.

After I made sure I shocked this one unconscious, I pointed it to the two remaining. They also took out shock sticks, but they pointed it at themselves.

"...Well thanks for making my life easier." I said as they shocked themselves unconscious.

Before anything else could happen, I sprinted towards the more secluded road that was on the opposite side of the restaurant building, where the van was already waiting.

As soon as I leapt into the vehicle, we drove off again.

"Damn, I'm beat." I laid down flat in the middle ground as Hiro slides the van door closed.

"Don't ever. Pull a stunt like that again." Takuto growls, for once, not even on any of his gadgets.

Having recovered my nerves, I put up my arms under my head and crossed my legs, "Aww, were you actually worried, Takkun?"

The smirk playing on my lips vanished when he didn't have any reaction except a serious face. But then, that quirky smirk of his own appeared.

Takuto: "Of course, we might get our own identities revealed if you were caught and got a loose mouth."

I laughed. That was his own way to somehow cheer me up. Though knowing he was kidding, I couldn't help but feel a bit stung.

Exactly why are they around me now? Because I'm useful for thieveries? Because I know their secret and I would let it out?

Takuto's POV

She was amazing. When we drove around and back to the other more secluded road. Riki stepped on the breaks. It was when I saw her just smashing someone's skull harshly into the brick wall.

Hiro: "Wow, she looks pissed."

I squinted my eyes, "No... her leg is bleeding."

Lillie: "Come get me in a minute." Her voice rang in all of our receivers.

"Already here." Riki answers.

Those are some combat moves.... I thought as she twisted a charging man right to the ground, she bent his arm inwards, not caring at all when the man screamed in pain that even I could faintly hear it.

The last two were so intimidated they shocked themselves out.

Then, she started running in our direction. Hiro slid open the door while Riki adjusts his grip on the steering wheel, ready to flee any minute.

She laid down in the middle of the floor as soon as everything calmed down. "Aww, were you actually worried, Takkun?" The look on her face proves that she was waiting for my normal reaction.

So what if I was? You gotta problem with that? The first thing that came to my mind was that, but I really don't think I should say that right now. Instead, I back fired at her.

She finally laughed. She played the biggest part on today's mission, she must be more or less exhausted.

I just then remember about her injury.

"I got it." Hiro says as he opens the first aid box.

I reach out, and slide the box over in front of me, "I got it." I say as I take out some alcohol and cotton balls.

"Somebody's in looove~" he murmured so quietly only I heard him. I shot him a quick glare.

Lillie sat up, "Thanks, Takuto."

Seeing her genuine smile, I pressed down any sort of heat that was rushing to my face.
