XLV - Riki
Guys, keep in mind that Hiro is still a loner with no ending XD I'm gonna skip his ending if by the end of Kenshi's, he's still in the emo corner growing mushrooms with Tamaki.
Reread the chapter before Takuto's route if you forgot where it left off XD
Riki's route idea is thanks to Libraheart2

Kuin's POV
"He loves me...he hates me... he loves me... he hates me..."
With no one in particular in mind, I lay dangling upside-down on Riki's bed while plucking flower pedals.
"...He hates me... he loves me." I finish with the last pedal, "I'm bored."
"Well you really shouldn't be." I glance up to Riki leaning on the door frame, "You know this is probably the most dangerous mission you've had since you joined us."
"Really? What about that time when I got shot?" I blurted out.
Both his and my eyes widen. Where'd that come from? Though I don't remember at all, I have a bullet graze scar on my shoulder.
Riki paused before continuing, "...This'll be worse than that if it is set up and you get caught."
"Ture." I laughed, "if things get out of hand, I might be shot to a honey comb!"
He frowned, "This is no laughing matter, Kuin! You can get seriously hurt if you're not careful."
I smiled softly at his concern, "I've escaped hell many times in this life, I'm sure I'll be fine against the police."
He sighed, "Don't underestimate them so much, they could be the FBI."
"Well, I already know one, and he sucks." I cross my arms while still dangling upside-down.
"Alright, since I doubt you're moving, I'm gonna explain my plan again right here, right now." He squatted down right in front of my face, preparing for a long talk.
"Oh god please no, anything but that!" I try to get up, but he pushed my shoulders back down.
"Listen up, Kuin." He smirked, I stuck my tongue out at him, "Here's what's gonna happen in a couple more hours--"
"Lillie-chan, Rikkun, dinner!" Hiro shouted from downstairs.
"Move. I. Want. Food." I say threateningly, prepared to have an extra dead body in the building if I don't get my food.
Scary! Riki immediately let go and put his arms up in surrender.
I did a back air flip and got my feet on the ground, I then skipped downstairs singing the food song.
"I love food, I love food, I love food. Food is life, food is life, food is life. I love food..." Yes, that's literally the only lyric.
"Last meal before our ultimate mission! Good luck, guys!" Boss says as he sets down the plates on the dining table.
"Three more hours until we depart." Takuto announces as he's on his laptop again.
The atmosphere became slightly heavy as dinner went on. Usually, dinners at LRN with everyone else is cheery and hyper. But for some reason, it's dead silent today.
Maybe everyone else has the same uneasy feeling I have. Probably because it's the most unpredictable mission yet.
My head pounded. Somehow, I know that I've been on a more dangerous mission with the Black Foxes, but I can't seem to remember further details no matter what. It could be where I got these unexplainable scars from.
All of a sudden, I lost my appetite. An image of a knife stabbed mercilessly into my palm strike into my mind and blood dripped from it. I look at my left palm, a scar exactly the size of a blade lay there, as if screaming at me to remember its history.
Just then, I snap out of it and look up. Everyone's staring at me, each of them with something hiding behind their eyes.
"Sorry, I'm full." I say without second thought and make my way up the stairs, Riki's bed is the most comfortable, so I tend to stay there.
I lie face-down on the mattress. An indescribable empty feeling courses through me, feeling like a big piece is somehow missing.
'Remember already!' I yelled at myself.
I felt the bed sink down beside me, I turn my head to see Riki sitting at the edge of the bed, his small smile displayed.
Riki: "Everything alright?"
"...Not really." I murmur, turning my head back down.
A large, soft hand rested on the back of my head, slowly combing my hair. I feel some tension slip out of me as he does so, it's strangely comforting.
I feel him put his legs up on the bed and lean on the bed frame, his hand never leaving me. Just the feel of his warmth made me feel better. He can be sweet sometimes.
I rolled around my back to lay sideways right beside him, I tugged at the hem of his shirt, "Thanks, I really needed that."
"Anything for you." He said naturally. His smooth speech is part of his personality, but this time, I actually felt like he somehow meant that.
We stayed like that for a long time, for what felt like hours, none of us said anything.
"...As much as I'd hate to ruin our moment, but we gotta depart in two more hours." He finally speaks up. I shuffle away so he could get up.
Riki: "You think you can come downstairs in ten?"
Lillie: "Yeah."
With that, he left me alone in the room. I grabbed his pillow and clutched it tightly. There are times like this when I feel extremely emotionally alone... I'll get over it soon enough.
I flip over the bed again to look at the scattered flower petals I left on the ground. Random memory flashes occurred in my mind when I plucked the petals.
I remember when the Black Foxes and I first met--the 'first met' that I remember--Riki held out his hand and introduced himself first. They claim that I've lost my memories of first joining them. Even so, the times since they literally abducted me from my apartment were really fun and adventurous. There must be even more details that I forgot from before I got amnesia.
I mumbled something about a blueprint and the White Racoons before I blacked out, which is when Riki carried me to LRN.
I rolled around again, then decided to finally get up.
It was 11pm, the thievery takes place at around 2:20am, we still have about two hours before we need to depart.
I made my way to the rooftop and sat by the edge, observing the scenery, even if it's just buildings standing and cars zooming by.
Just then, a police car drove by. I didn't think into it since they do patrol the city at night, I didn't even think about the direction they were going in.
Riki's POV
It's been twenty minutes since I told Lillie to come down in ten. I turn to the stairs, wanting to go get her, before footsteps begin descending down.
"I took some time on the rooftop," She explains, "the air is fresh and cold up there."
She was cleaned up nicely in her mission clothes as she ties her hair while walking towards us.
"Hey, guys." Takuto says, frowning at his laptop screen, "I got new info that the painting will be stored in a private home before being transported to the trading spot."
Atsumu: "That's not unusual."
Riki: "Yup, a lot of art traffickers do that to keep artifacts under maximum supervision."
Takuto: "No...I mean, the point is, look whose house this is."
We all gathered at the screen. My eyes widen at the photo of the mansion and written address at the bottom.
Kenshi: "Isn't that...Riki's family's mansion?!"
Hiro: "Whaaaaat?!?! Rikkun, your father traffics arts?"
"Not at all... as far as I know, he's not even interested in arts!" I say, not understanding why it's taking place at my house.
"It doesn't matter whether or not one's interested in it." Lillie says calmly, "It's the money that it's worth and possible power in the underworld."
I fell silent. I never thought my father would do something like this as much as he craves power.
All the others had similar expressions as I do.
"Let's not jump to any conclusions." Lillie says, breaking the silence, "I don't know what's up either, but let's at least keep personal concerns out of our missions."
Atsumu: "She's right. If this is the results of Takuto's hacking, this is your destination."
I let out a breath, "All right, we leave in thirty more minutes, check all your belongings."
They shared a glance at each other, probably wondering why we're going earlier than originally planned, "Yes, sir!"
Lillie's POV
I watched Riki's expression as he spoke, he seems more confused and frustrated than anything. Well, of course, if my fa--
Nevermind.
Kenshi drove, Riki sat at shotgun, Takuto on all his gadgets in the space behind the driver's seat, and Hiro and I sat beside him in the back.
Takuto: "In another hour, the painting will arrive in the...third basement storage room."
He took another good look at his 3D map.
Takuto: "I'm not entirely sure the way there... this house is compli--"
Riki: "I know where it is, don't worry about that."
Takuto glanced at him before responding, "If you say so."
A little while later, everyone stood at their posts, while Riki and I hid in bushes in the backyard. When Takuto, who's in the van, gives us his instructions, we'll assume action. And as planned, I'll be the only one to enter the household.
"Can't believe I'll be helping someone break into my own house." Riki sighed while he whispered.
I chuckled a little as he had a joking tone.
"Just remember to always keep in mind that your safety comes above all else. If you think you might in trouble, bail, alright? None of us will blame you." He repeats again, looking at me seriously.
"I get it, I get it. No worries." I reply dismissively as I'm starting to sense movement coming closer.
Takuto: "Target has been transported, two guards are coming your way, Hiro."
Hiro: "Roger, I'll keep them busy."
Takuto: "Riki, Lillie, move in."
"Nope." I stopped Riki with my arm, "We agreed that I'm the only one going in, just give me the directions."
He was about to argue when he thought it through, he let out the breath he held in and gave up on protesting, "Fine, we did arrange that."
He gave me a quick but detailed description of where the room is, "Please be careful."
"I'm always careful." I say, then proceed to stand up...and then almost tripped on a branch.
Riki stared with a deadpanned face.
"Th-That was an accident, I'll be fine, I promise!" I say and looked at him one more time before turning and running towards the household in the dark.
Takuto: "I trust that I'll be waiting for your good news."
"Of course." I reply in a confident voice, then I go completely silent as I hide myself on the back wall.
According to Riki, there's a side door I can pick unlock that leads to the garages, and then the door that connects those to the inside is never locked and no one pays attention to it.
After I go in, the door that's just a room away leads to the basement. But there are two doors in the house that leads down the basement, which means I'll need to be careful of anyone else entering and stuff like that. And then the door on the furthest east side leads to the storage room.
And then somehow, I needed to get out safely from the same route.
"Oh well, I'll just wing this." I murmured to myself.
As soon as the surveillance guards walked around the other way, I sprung into action.
