Prologue

When Adrien and Marinette are five...

"Do you really have to go?"asked Mari, her voice pleading him to say no.

"Yes" choked out Adrian, trying to hold back tears."I'm sorry but I promise I will see you again."

"Adrien, we have to go, and you know it." Inturupted a slightly annoyed Natalie.

"Here let me take this picture" requested Adrian. He held up his camera, turning it so the lense faced the both of them. He snapped the picture.

Tears slowly slides down his cheek as it printed. He immediately ripped it in half. He handed the side he was on to Mari, before he added "If we ever see each other again we can put the pictures together to make a whole." He kept the part of the picture with Marinette.

He clenched the photo, drinking in all of it's features.

The picture was slightly blurry, and part of his thumb covered part of Marinette's perfectly sapphire-blue hair, but he knew that he would treasure the picture forever. It captured everything good thing about her-her electric blue eyes, her beautiful posture, her ruby lips,-everything except her heart, which was as wide and deep as the Pacific.

He had to summon all of his strength to stop himself from crying.

"Please don't go." whispered Mari as several tears starting to slide down her cheeks too. She quickly wiped them away.

"I'm not asking you, I'm telling you! Adrien get in the damn car now!" interjected Natalie, getting very impatient.

Adrien looked over his shoulder at Natalie's car, which was shimmering in the sunlight. Natalie sent a glare his way, as she drummed her hands against the hood of the car.

"It's not fair!" boomed Adrien. "I'm not leaving!"

Natalie strutted over to them and yanked on his arm.

"Were leaving." she growled. Adrien could feel his heart pounding in his head due to the chaos.

" Ok" whimpered Adrien "and goodbye Marinette." The word goodbye made him feel dizzy.

"I'll never forget you, Adrien." she murmured, no longer trying to hide her tears.
