Branch goes to confront Creek and gets a surprise.

Branch was driving his one mission to beat up Creek and scare him from ever going anywhere near Poppy or him.

He kept replaying seeing Creek with his arms around Poppy and he realized this must be what Poppy felt when she met his ex-girlfriend, he now understood how she might be paranoid of Mia coming back.

''Damn.'' He thought as he drove for about 3 hours.

He was then thinking to what Mia tried to do to him, he felt so dirty even though it wasn't his fault, and he knew he had to tell Poppy no matter how upset she got. He wanted them to be honest about things.

Later he arrived at Creek's place and parked on the side street seeing how the house was dark, and he knew what car Creek drove and he saw it wasn't there yet. He pulled up the find me app and caught Creek's location at a bar as he took off towards that.

He got to the bar and saw Creek outside waiting for some guys to show up and Branch saw him slip into an alley and he got out and placed his hood up slowly following Creek.

Creek was walking farther into the alley and Branch felt the urge to hurt Creek he was slowly following the purple troll when he felt the bat he had got yanked and he turned around ready to fight but saw it was Poppy.

''Poppy!'' He gasped.

Her hood fell all the way down and she looked at him with a serious face. ''Yes, its me.''

''What are you doing here?'' He asked hugging her.

''I figured after that bar incident made news you would be so angry you'd go after Creek.'' She replied pulling out of the hug and cupping his face.

He sighed and looked back to see Creek gone.

''Yes, he went inside.'' She answered.

He sighed. ''I just wanted to bang him up a bit not go overboard and send him a message.'' Branch replied.

''And that would get you into trouble. Creek is an evil troll but he's not stupid Branch.'' She replied holding his hand. ''He'd know it would be you and then you'd get arrested, and I'd be alone giving him a chance to come after me knowing that you can't save me.'' She hugs him.

He cries a bit and hugs her. ''I'm upset with myself; I made a promise to protect you and I failed.'' He looks down.

''You didn't Branch you still kept that promise. But let's go somewhere else.'' She replied.

''How did you get here?'' He asked.

''I got a ride from a county troll that was coming here.'' She giggles.

They got in the car and left heading home.

Late the next morning Hickory woke up to the smell of food and he looked up to the kitchen to see Branch and Gust working on breakfast.

''Morning Branch. Gust.'' Hickory greeted.

''Morning sleepyhead. I'm making breakfast.'' Branch replied.

''Morning heavy drinker.'' Gust laughed.

He sat up and shook his head as he felt a slight pound. ''I see smells amazing.''

''Thanks.'' Branch smiles.

He got up and walked to the kitchen bar.

''Do you have a hangover?'' Asked Gust.

''A small one. I can handle drinking I've built up a tolerance.'' Hickory replied sitting on the chair.

''I got to say for drinking you don't look bad.'' Hickory answered.

''Right? Man, my head hurts.'' Gust replied shaking his head sitting at the bar.

''Thanks, actually I didn't really drink much.'' Branch sighed.

''Why not?'' Asked Hickory.

''Mia was at the club last night and gave me a lap dance trying to get more.'' Branch sighed.

Both Hickory and Gust looked shocked.

''Wait she was there?'' Asked Gust.

''Yeah, the only reason I know is because she started talking and I shoved her off and took her to Trollex's area and waited on the dance floor.'' Branch sighed as he handed them breakfast.

Hickory looked concerned. ''Branch I know you are trying to be nice to Mia, but this is serious you really should consider firing her or making her transfer to a different area.''

''I know. I made it clear last night if she tried it again, I would fire her, but she threatened to tell Poppy about what me and her use to be.'' Branch sighed sitting down.

''Why don't you just tell Poppy what you and Mia use to be? I mean it was a long time ago and she was married at the time.'' Asked Gust.

''Because... then Poppy will assume that it's the reason why Mia is here and that there might still be something between me and Mia.'' Branch replied.

''Well, keeping it from her is going to make her more suspicious. Sure, she would have a hard time with it at first but at least you would have been honest. Isn't that the big reason why she left her ex?'' Asked Gust hearing the story.

This made Branch feel bad and worried. ''I don't want her to stress besides that was a long time ago and why would I need to bring it up? I don't go bring up her past and her sleeping with Creek while we were dating.'' Branch defended.

''That was different Branch, she was married.'' Hickory jumped in.

''Look me and Mia did date and Poppy knows it and with dating comes sex, so she knows me, and Mia have had sex besides I was thinking of Poppy most of the time.'' Branch replied.

''Well, that's completely up to you Branch. And giving from what I've seen girls always know when something is going on not what or who, but they always know something.'' Gust said finishing breakfast.

''I agree with Gust, its best to get all the skeletons out of the closet before getting married.'' Hickory replied.

They then started talking about Hickory and Delta's wedding when out came Poppy rubbing her eyes.

Hickory and Gust looked shocked.

''Poppy!'' Hickory smiled and went over to hug her.

''Hey Hickory Gust, what's up?'' She asked.

''Just eating breakfast, when did you get here?'' Asked Gust.

''Early this morning.'' She replied with a smile.

''Well, seems like someone made the news.'' Hickory teased.

''Yeah well, your girl was something.'' Poppy smiles.

''That she was but anyway me and Gust should be going back but we will see you guys' next Saturday for the wedding.'' Hickory nodded.

''You got it.'' Poppy smiles hugging Branch as he hugs her.

The boys left and Branch smiles at Poppy. ''How are you feeling?'' He asked.

''Pretty good happy to have my Branch here with me.'' She smiles.

Branch smiles and kisses her.

''I don't know where I'd be if I didn't have you.'' He replied kissing her lips.

''Probably with Mia.'' Poppy joked.

Branch shook his head. ''Never again even if you died or left me, I would stay single, or I'd join you in the afterlife.''

Poppy smiles and kisses his cheek as he got her a plate.

''Thanks honey.'' She smiles.
