"Wow! This is such a great view!" I exclaimed, running to the edge of the rail attached to the side of the large cliff.

It was our first anniversary, and we had spent the day roaming around the town.

Yami wasn't quite used to some things, so I'd been giving him a huge tour.

"It is." He agreed, standing next to me, leaning forward on the rail.

The sun  had started to set, casting a long red glow over the town.

It was really pretty.

"Hey Yami, you're not.. going to disappear right?" I asked suddenly, looking at the suns glow still.

"No, not yet." He said, almost surprisingly. 

"Good."

"Come on! you can beat him!" I heard (Y/N) say. I turned to see her hanging on the side of the duel rink, waving her hand happily.

I smiled softly, giving her a thumbs up.

"I will, you're my luck." I said before stepping on the duel platform.

[We're safe and sound

I could fill your cup

You know my river won't evaporate

This world we still appreciate]

"You did great." I said, smiling, walking down a path in the park, licking an ice cream cone.

Yami had gotten one for both of us, celebrating the win.

It had been a hard match, filled with troubled spots, but he had overcome it.

"Thank you." He said, with his nice deep voice.

"Welcome." And with  that, I bopped his nose with the end of my ice cream cone, fleeing before he realized, laughing madly.

Even in a hurricane of frowns

"Ugh, why would Yugi go out with you? He's the king of games." Scoffed a girl, shoving me into a wall.

"I don't know, why don't you ask him." I said calmly, stepping sideways to get out of the way of another shove.

"You brat! I asked you! Not him!"

"That's why I said, ask him, not me."

The second girl tossed her blonde locks, grabbing my arm, pressing her manicured nails into it.

"Hey! Quit it!" I growled, trying to shake her off me.

"Heh, no way. I just can't stand you!" She shrieked at me.

"That's not a nice thing to do to (Y/N)." I heard a deep voice behind me, making the girl in front of me deathly pale.

I looked directly upwards, meeting the gaze of Yami.

I felt the girl release my arm, walking backwards, stumbling over her words.

"I-I'm sorry, It's just sh-"

"I believe she did nothing." 

I felt an arm encircle my waist, rubbing the mark of the girls nails with his thumb.

"Now, please leave (Y/N) alone."

"B-But sh-"

"Don't make me repeat myself."

In a tidal wave of mystery

You'll still be standing next to me]

The girls fled quickly, tripping over themselves as they left.

I felt him unwind his arm, tilting my chin up.

"Are you alright."

"Well.... besides her digging her stupid fingernails in my arm, I think I'm fine." I said, smiling.

"We better get you to the nurse." He said suddenly, pulling me along by my other arm.

"Nah, I'm fine, I probably just need to wash it or something."

Yami stopped in his tracks, turning to me.

"We're going to the nurse."

Even if we're six feet underground

I know that we'll be safe and sound]

I sat in the nurses office, getting stared down by Yami as she placed a bandage over the bruised area.

"See? It wasn't bad, you didn't need to get so worried." I said, standing up, and thanking the nurse.

Yami crossed his arms, huffing.

"Come on, smile." I said, sighing before trying to tickle him.

"Hmm, you just aren't ticklish are you?"

"Uh.... no, I suppose not."

I heard the nurse start giggling behind me at that.

"Hurry up Yami!" I muttered, tapping my foot as my backpack bounced on my back, due to my rapid moment.

"(Y/N), please wait, I need to gather my books." He said, reaching out to gather them with such a serious face.

"Why are you so serious?"

"I have no idea." He said seriously, looking up at me with those captivating eyes of his.

I started to smirk, rolling my eyes.

"Well, we're gona be late if we want to get to the museum."

[I could lift you up

I hopped up and down, trying to reach my last item before we left.

"Grr! Just an inch more!" I growled at my book, very angry about the lack of height I had.

I suddenly felt the ground come away from my feet as I looked down to see Yugi had lifted me up.

"Aren't you the one telling me to hurry up?" He asked me, amused.

I blushed slightly, grabbing my book and getting set down.

"You could have reached it, why'd you pick me up?" I asked curiously.

"I figured you would have been unhappy that you hadn't gotten it yourself.

"Hmpf, you do know me don't you?"

"Oh I can see the museum! I'm so excited!" I squealed, hopping up and down in place as Yami caught up to me.

"Excellent." He chuckled lowly.

I started to run ahead, but stopped again, turning with a smile.

"Um, Yami?"

"Yes?"

"Thanks for today."

And before running off again, I gave him a meaningful peck on the lips, leaving him speechless.

"(Y/N)?"

"Yes?"

"I love you."

"I love you too."
