Love Story~ Romeo Montague

Love Story~ Taylor Swift

Romeo Montague

[We were both young when I first saw you.

I close my eyes and the flashback starts:

I'm standing there on a balcony in summer air.]

"Father! I don't want a stupid ball! I'm not marring Tybalt!"

"Yes you are, wether you like it or not." My fathers eyes softened slightly as he took my hands.

"We need you to marry him."

"I'm not going." I said, tears coming to my eyes as I ran up the stairs, disregarding my fathers calls.

[See the lights, see the party, the ball gowns.

See you make your way through the crowd

And say, "Hello, "

Little did I know...]

"Omf! Sorry, didn't see you there!"

A loud busty woman guffawed as she bumped into me.

I sighed, retreating. "No no, It's alright."

I made my way through the twirling dancers with their pretty masks.

I raised mine sightly, making sure that it was in place.

My gaze stopped though as looked about the room on a young man, seemingly the same age as I.

Making his way toward me slowly,

His blue hair shone beautifully in the lights of the party.

He was holding a single rose in his hand.

We stopped walking, a foot from each other...

We were so captivated each other so much we didn't notice the people telling us to move out of the way.

"Hello."

"H-Hello."

"I've never felt like this before." I whispered, giggling as He pressed his forehead to mine, smiling sweetly.

We had decided to go to the garden, siting on the edge of the great fountain.

"Me neither." He whispered.

It had been only five hours, yet it felt like a lifetime....

Romeo's lips brushed against mine...

This night was pure bliss.

It was sad having to part for bed... but we had spent the maximum hours together.

I slowly made my way p the stairs, it was one in the morning, the party finally finishing.

"(Y/N)?" I froze, my multicolored gown swishing to a stop.

I turned to see.... my fiance, Tybalt.

He ran a hand thru his black hair, staring at me unhappily.

"Where were you tonight?"

"Oh, just wandering here and there, through the dance floor and such." I said, trying to laugh it off.

"I didn't see you all night." Tybalt said, frowning, walking up the stairs quickly toward me.

"Oh? I didn't see you either, were you here all this time?"

"Yes, I was."

Tybalt was inches from me and I could tell, he was not happy.

His turquoise eyes narrowed as he lifted my left hand staring at it.

"Why are you not wearing your ring, we are to be married in a week." He said.

"I grew tired of wearing it." I snapped, pulling back my hand.

I ran to my room, slamming the door behind me and sliding down.

[That you were Romeo, you were throwing pebbles,

And my daddy said, "Stay away from Juliet"

And I was crying on the staircase

Begging you, "Please don't go"

And I said...

Romeo, take me somewhere we can be alone.

I'll be waiting; all that's left to do is run.

You'll be the prince and I'll be the princess,

It's a love story, baby, just say, "Yes".]

I opened my eyes slowly, hearing something smack against my stone balcony.

I sat up, rubbing my eyes and staggering to the balcony.

The sun hit me, making me temporarily blind before I spotted that too familiar blue hair and blue eyes.

"What light through yonder window breaks? It is the east, and (Y/N) is the sun."

I heard him call from below, smiling happily, a fistful of rocks in his hand.

"What are you doing here?" I asked, my cheeks pink for his nice words.

"I came to see you." He said, testing out the thick vines growing beneath me.

"If my father finds out about you, You'll.. I shall be trouble! I am.... I am betrothed!"

"What?" Romeo's face was shocked for a moment.

"Believe me, I do not want to be."

Romeo's eyes softened, and he started climbing up the vines to me.

"Be careful!" I said, suddenly concerned as the vines creaked.

I grabbed his hands, pulling him up halfway so he could sit on the edge of the balcony.

He stood, stepping forwards and cupping my cheek.

"I love you."

"What? It's a little soon don't you think?"

"Not at al-"

My door creaked, and heavy footsteps came into the room.

"(Y/N)?"

I turned to see my father, his face turning red at an alarming rate.

He stormed forwards, ripping me from Romeo.

"Father! He's just a friend!" I cried, trying to get to Romeo, who was getting dragged down the stairs as I spoke.

Romeo tried to pull my fathers hand off his collar as he looked back at me, mouthing

"I'll come for you."

"Romeo!" I screamed, running down the stairs quickly, trying to catch up with him.

I tripped over my stupid gown at the last step, just as He was shoved out the large oak door, my father bolting it behind him.

"That'll teach you to stay away from (Y/N)!"

"Don't leave me!"

[So I sneak out to the garden to see you.

We keep quiet 'cause we're dead if they knew

So close your eyes... escape this town for a little while.

Oh, oh.]

"It's six days til the wedding. You are not to leave this house til then." yelled my father, slamming the door behind him and locking it.

I clung to the handle, crying.

I was to marry a man I did not love, and was ripped from the only man I ever felt love towards.

I stopped when a piece of thick paper was tossed up into my balcony.

I opened the glass door, scooping up the letter, looking down to see who had thrown it.

No one was there.

I opened the letter, one finger wiping away the remainder of my tears.

Dearest (Y/N),

I know your engaged, I know your father hates me, I know you deserve better, But I can't help     myself but to try.

Ever since I met you, I couldn't help but fall in love with you, hard.

I have a feeling you feel the same..... I love you.

If you feel the same about me, meet me under the balcony at Midnight tonight.

                                                                            Love,

                                                                                Your Romeo

At precisely 12 A.M I ran to my balcony.

I looked over the edge, seeing Romeo standing there, arms wide.

"No way! I'll break your arms!"

"It's not that far up, come on, trust me."

"Fine." I said, smiling before taking a deep breath and falling backwards, squeezing my eyes shut.

I fell into two strong arms and looked up into a smiling face.

Romeo..... of course.

I was set down by him, and followed him quickly into the garden.

When we got there, Romeo clasped my hand.

"Let's run away together."

"Shh! They might hear you!"

"Please, come with me."

['Cause you were Romeo - I was a scarlet letter,

And my daddy said, "Stay away from Juliet"

But you were everything to me,

I was begging you, "Please don't go"

And I said...

Romeo, take me somewhere we can be alone.

I'll be waiting; all that's left to do is run.

You'll be the prince and I'll be the princess.

It's a love story, baby, just say, "Yes".]

Romeo kissed me that night.

It was the sweetest kiss either of us had ever shared.

Who knows if our love is doomed or not. I'll follow him to the end.

Nothing matters anymore.

My life here is gone.

My life here is nothing to me anymore.

"Let's leave, let's just pack and run, together."

[Romeo, save me, they're trying to tell me how to feel.

This love is difficult but it's real.

Don't be afraid, we'll make it out of this mess.

It's a love story, baby, just say, "Yes".]

That night we couldn't.

Our meeting was interrupted, and I was captured and locked in the basement.

Alone.

"You're marrying Tybalt, we need you to do this, our family needs the money! Can't you understand!"

I looked out the barred window, sighing.

I had grown tired from crying.

I had grown tired of waiting.

I had grown tired of my life.

"Romeo.... save me."

[Oh, oh.

I got tired of waiting

Wondering if you were ever coming around.

My faith in you was fading

When I met you on the outskirts of town.

And I said...]

"Fine. I'll walk down the aisle. But I will not say yes." I said finally, breaking free of my father grasp, grabbing the bouquet and angrily walking down the aisle.

The people in the pews muttered as I looked up at the altar.

Where is my Romeo.

Maybe.... he isn't going to save me...

Maybe I'll be stuck with this man forever.

Maybe, I won't get to se-

"(Y/N)!"

I turned, my hopes rising more than I ever thought as I saw Romeo, my Romeo, running down the aisle to greet me.

"Romeo!"

I hurriedly picked up my skirts, running to him as I heard Tyblat yell "Who's this?"

I crashed into his arms, knocking him down, kissing his cheek.

[Romeo, save me, I've been feeling so alone.

I keep waiting for you but you never come.

Is this in my head? I don't know what to think.

He knelt to the ground and pulled out a ring and said...]

Romeo grabbed my hand, pulling me up from the ground, and leading me out of the church, dodging guards.

We just kept running, not knowing where we'd end up.

But where ever we did, e'd make a life for ourselves, together.

Far enough away, Romeo knelt down, kissing my hand before placing a silver ring upon my finger.

"(Y/N).."

[Marry me, Juliet, you'll never have to be alone.

I love you, and that's all I really know.

I talked to your dad - go pick out a white dress

It's a love story, baby, just say, "Yes".]

"Please marry me, I love you."

"Yes, Yes I will."

['Cause we were both young when I first saw you]
