Part 8: Loves Not Pretty (Final)
[Sorry for the long wait for this chapter, wanted to get it right for you all. Over 10k words for you all as an apology. Hope the wait paid off!]
[Here we have it...The final chapter...Well, not the FINAL final chapter...but I'll get to that at the end of this one, so be sure to read the end author notes for the surprise~
But for the main story point, this is where it ends. I never planned for this to be a massive chapter story. It was made to tell a cool aspect of the world and hopefully bring some enjoyment out of it. From the start, this was a book that really helped give this second account life. Which I'll always be grateful for. So it's only fitting that I end this story in a kickass, balls-to-the-wall style. So, if you're ready for this war to reach it's climatic end...Then let's get right into it!!!]
[FYI: There are also going to chunks of the original chapter seven spread about, as I felt it was a good idea and wanted to bring it back for those who didn't get to read it!]

[Your POV]
Loves not pretty. It was a statement given to me when I was younger with my first crush. It didn't end well, as all of you know, yet it was these three words that continued to resonate with me my entire life. It was because of these three words that I hesitated to tell the people I care about today the way I feel. But now, as I'm left with a moment unlike any other, I can't help but wonder...What would my life be like if love wasn't just some convoluted story...
[3rd Person POV]
A wave of silence filled the air of U.A.'s school Cafeteria. What else would you expect right now. Looks of fear and uncertainty could be seen in the dozens as multiple students witnessed the sight before them. It was so chaotic that a few didn't even dare to move. Though, one thing that was common among everyone was the direction in which they were currently looking. For in the centre of the room, two people faced off.
On one side, Imasuji, the towering male with muscle tendons ripped from his arm on full display. A cocky grin rested across his lips as he looked down in his left arm to see the unconscious body of Kayama. Meanwhile, across from him, some fifty meters or so, standing atop a table, (Y/n) could be seen. An aggressive glare reigned supreme over the face of the young boy as smoke rose from his body. To his side, a silent Rumi watched the aggravated storm that was (Y/n) (L/n).
(Y/n): "LET HER GO!"
Imasuji: [Cackles] "And what are you going to do about it?"
The demon-like grin remained firm on the bullies face as he tilted his head in an amused manner. But (Y/n) wasn't amused. All it took was a single glance toward Kayama's still body for him to launch into air. One moment he was standing on the table, the next, in a burst of lighting, he was gone in the blink of an eye. The sudden movement caused Rumi's hair to blow in the wind...As she remembered the time she first learnt about (Y/n)'s Quirk, and the price that came with it...
--Flashback--
8 P.M. washed over the Student Dorm rooms of U.A. High, it was the night after both Rumi and Kayama spent the day trying to confess to (Y/n). Of course, no matter how many times they tried, it was thrown off edge by Kiana. Now the pair of Rumi and Kayama could be seen in the latters rooms trying to figure something out to make (Y/n) theirs. Kayama seated on her bed, hugging a stuffed animal whilst watching with a raised eyebrow as Rumi constantly walked back and forth in front of her.
Rumi: "We have to do something...We just have to...There is no other choice..."
Kayama: "Uh, how exactly did you know which room was mine? We're not exactly friends, so..."
Rumi: [Stops walking] "Huh? Oh! I've known which room is yours for a while. I mean, what kind of war would it be if you didn't know every single habit of your opponent."
Kayama: "Alright. Yep. You're definitely crazy." [Gets up] "Look, crazy girl, I kinda have a lot of stuff on my mind at the moment. So why don't you go somewhere with the other crazy people."
Rumi: "See! This is why the wonderful Lady Nagant is not afraid of us."
Immediately Kayama stopped still, just before she was about to begin pushing Rumi toward the door. A defeated and annoyed look spawned on her face immediately.
Kayama: "Why do you keep complimenting her?"
Rumi: "Is it not obvious? On one side, I hate her, because she is trying to take my (Y/n) away from me. Whilst on the other side, I respect her with her cold, heartless attitude, and the way she marked her authority whilst at this school."
Kayama: [Thoughts] "Yep...Definitely crazy."
Rumi: "But it matters little right now who I see as role models. The point is, she believes that we are nothing more than the crying little babies who have a crush on a boy. We have to prove her wrong."
Kayama: "Well, we do both have a crush on (Y/n)."
Rumi: [Sighs and shakes head] "Why am I not surprised you completely missed the point...Yes! We both like (Y/n)--Though you not as much as me--That is the point! If we like him, we cannot simply be mopping around here. We must fight!"
Kayama: "Against that crazy bitch? No way! You might stand a chance against her, but I'm just me. I can barely fight right now."
Rumi: "Well, duh. That is obvious. But even so..."
There weren't many times in which Rumi took a serious approach that seemed genuine. Most of the time it was filled with the knowledge that she thought herself better than everyone else. And whilst she still thought that when compared to Kayama, it didn't stop the future rabbit hero from coming off as somewhat...nice.
Rumi: "Look...I don't know about you, but when I heard from Lady Nagant that (Y/n) liked me...I was...Happy." [Sighs] "I don't have many people in my life that want to be around me. I understand I can be tough and not outgoing...But (Y/n) was nice to me, even when I wasn't nice to him. And I like him. I'm not afraid to admit that much..."
Kayama: "Rumi..."
Rumi: "And it is clear you also like (Y/n)...Probably for some unholy reason like you wish to sleep with him, unlike me who simply wishes for more meaningful things."
Kayama: [Annoyed] "Rumi..."
Rumi: "The point is! If you feel the same, you should not be crying away in your room like a baby."
Kayama: "I-I wasn't crying."
Rumi: "Your stuttering suggests otherwise, girly."
Kayama: "I wasn't crying!"
Rumi: "Whatever. If you like (Y/n), you should not be staying back and letting everything else around you pass by. So if you want to be with (Y/n), you need to fight!" [Sighs] "But as I said before, I alone cannot beat this woman. I...I need you to help me."
A moment of silence separated the words. Rumi's gaze did not falter as she stared at Kayama. Honestly, it was weird for the both of them. Normally there was nothing but distaste between the pair. However, even with Rumi's tendency to speak from her mind, Kayama could tell where the rabbit girl was coming from. Surprisingly, it was a good place. So much so Kayama couldn't help but smile slightly.
Kayama: [Smiles] "Wow...Didn't know you had it in you."
Rumi: "Yes. Well...It's right."
Kayama: "Aw~ You're opening up to me. Maybe you're not so bad after all."
Rumi quickly narrowed her gaze toward Kayama.
Kayama: "Maybe we can paint each others nails sometimes and talk about cute boys we like~"
Kayama goes in for a cuddle, clearing teasing Rumi for her vulnerable state. Of course, Rumi did not like that as she began shoving Kayama backward.
Rumi: "Unhand me, woman! I do not wish to be your friend!"
Kayama: "No! You're nice. I can see it now."
Rumi: "Unhand me! I told you! I'm not interested in being your--"
Knock! Knock! Knock!
The sudden sound immediately caused the two to pause. With Kayama's arms still wrapped around Rumi. However, the future rabbit hero had now turned her full attention to the door. Silence soon followed the loud sound as both girls stared toward the wooden object.
Kayama: [Thoughts] "Who's knocking at my door right now? I-It's not..."
Rumi: [Thoughts] "There is no way the wonderful and beautiful Lady Nagant has found us...Surely not..."
It was that small sliver of doubt that lingered in their minds that caused both girls to only have one direction now...And that was to slowly begin their journey toward the door. A few more knocks sounded in the process, but neither female was in a rush to reach the door. So much so, both Rumi and Kayama took the time to count each step in their mind. Like a final memory of the moment before they were ultimately defeated by this unspeakable beauty that obviously waited for them on the other side.
By the time they finally did reach the door, a sudden pause came as they turned to each other. Telepathic notions of whether or not they should open the door were shared, until the ultimate curiosity of it all got the better of them. Slowly, and with enough foresense to prepare for any sudden attack, Kayama reached out and opened the door. The creak of the wooden boards turning open filled the air. All before the air suddenly left their chests with a sigh of relief when they saw (Y/n) was the one standing there.
Kayama: [Sighs and smiles] "Oh, (Y/n), it was you..."
(Y/n): "Hey, Kayama. Yeah. I was just--"
Rumi: "AAAHHH!!!"
Before (Y/n) could properly process the sudden sound that filled the air, out of nowhere Rumi launched from Kayama's bedroom entrance and immediately grabbed the boy's shoulders. She continued to push more until his back was outright shoved against the door on the opposite side of the hallway. (Y/n) was left speechless as he turned to the girl who was now extremely close to him. A look of anger mixed with momentary blankness was the only flavour that came from Rumi's gaze as she looked up at him.
Rumi: "I was not scared, (Y/n)."
(Y/n): "Um...O-Okay..."
Without further warning, Rumi immediately kicked the wall inches away from (Y/n)'s leg. Causing a massive hole to appear from her powerful strikes. (Y/n) was given a brief glance down at the carnage before his eyes slowly returned to the future rabbit hero.
Rumi: "But if you ever cause me to be concerned like that again. I will not be hesitant to stomp you."
(Y/n) could only stare frighteningly at Rumi, who enjoyed the sight even more because of it. However, as the pair continued to face off. Rumi was eventually pulled away by Kayama. The pair now standing some distance away from the male.
Kayama: "So...Um...(Y/n)? What, uh...What did you want to talk about?"
She said with a soft smile whilst fixing her hair up. Kayama found herself increasingly nervous standing around the boy ever since Kiana claimed he liked her...a-and Rumi. The rabbit girl simply nudging the girl who was holding her back, but never took her eyes off (Y/n).
(Y/n): "Oh, right! Uh, Kiana said you two were going to fight her."
Kayama: "S-She did?!"
Rumi: "...That is correct. Yes. What is it to you?"
Rumi asked forwardly, as Kayama was more so focused on the fact Kiana told (Y/n) they were fighting. The question was...Did she say why they were fighting? Unfortunately, (Y/n) chose to direct his attention to Rumi's previous sentence.
(Y/n): [Chuckles] "Well, I've known Kiana all my life almost. And when she says she's going to fight someone...She can get pretty brutal."
Rumi: "Are you saying I cannot handle the great and powerful Lady Nagant, (Y/n)? How rude."
(Y/n): "N-No! I'm sure you can! It's just...Well..." [Sighs] "Kiana can get pretty...aggressive at times like this, and whilst I believe in you both..."
So many thoughts rushed through the minds of Rumi and Kayama. Was (Y/n) going to say that Kiana was going to defeat them with ease? Was he clearly trying to tell them to not get themselves killed? That there was no way they were going to beat her? Honestly, when they thought over such words...They kinda got sad. They wanted to (Y/n) to believe in them. Not just in general. But to the point that he thought they could beat her if they fought. If only that was--
(Y/n): "...I want to really show her how great you guys are, and everything that you've learned from U.A.."
Kayama: "Huh?"
(Y/n): [Smiles] "So...I wanna help train you guys."
Kayama: "...HUH?"
The word exploded from Kayama's mouth before she turned to Rumi, and Rumi back to her. Eventually, Kayama's gaze reflected back to (Y/n).
Kayama: "You want to train us...?"
Immediately the pair turned back to (Y/n), as they did, they pictured exactly what (Y/n) meant by 'training' them. For Kayama, it was a beautiful scene of a hotel bedroom, covered in rose petals.
Kayama: "(Y/n)~"
(Y/n): "Kayama~"
Both (Y/n) and herself standing at the foot of the bed, their tongues battling for dominance and they remove each other's clothes.
(Y/n): "Are...Are you sure about this?"
Kayama: "Of course, I am. I've waited so long for someone like you...Please...I...I want you."
The out layers of their bodies were only seen by shadows on the wall as (Y/n) lifted her up like nobody's business and tossed her onto the bed to--
Kayama was immediately pulled from her thoughts before they could get too dirty. However, despite the blush on her face, Kayama found herself softly smiling at the thought of her and (Y/n) becoming intimate. Meanwhile, beside her, Rumi had her own thoughts about what (Y/n) meant by 'training' her. And if the thoughts were anything like reality, she'd be more than down for (Y/n) to train her. And that picture destination was Rumi being in the gym, pumping far more man y weights then she had previously, as (Y/n) yelled down at her.
(Y/n): "Come on, Rumi! One more! One more! You can do it!"
Rumi: "I-I don't know...Argh...I-It's really heavy..."
(Y/n): "I don't want none of that talk! Do it, Rumi! Don't give up! Now...One more!"
Rumi: "AARRGGHH!!!"
With a final scream Rumi lifted the plethora of weights attached to the bench press up into the air before resting it onto the metal railing. Once done, she was greeted by the completely ripped (Y/n) who praised her for her intensity...Before stating they were now doing a hundred and twenty push-ups as a reward. It was the greatest thing Rumi had ever thought of...
(Y/n): "So, yeah...I want you guys to show Kiana what you're really made of. And, i-if you want...I'd love to help."
Snapping back to reality, Rumi and Kayama did not wait a second to turn to (Y/n) with newfound determination as the idea of him training them continued to fuel their mind.
Kayama: [Blushes] "S-So...With you training us will that mean...like...Us being...Alone?"
(Y/n): "Well, of course. I often do prefer one-on-one sessions as I feel I can get equal points across."
Kayama: [Smiles and blushes] "O-Oh, cool..."
Rumi: "And will you be...tough on us?"
(Y/n): "Tough?"
Rumi: "Yes. Like...Pushing us beyond our limits and then praising us when we reach them?"
(Y/n): [Chuckles] "Well, I don't know about pushing you beyond your limits. But I'll definitely try and get the best out of you both. And I always think it's fair to praise those that do a good job, no matter what."
Rumi: [Gets serious] "Then, yes, I shall allow you to train me."
(Y/n): "Sweet! Kayama?"
Kayama: "Hhm?"
She said abruptly after suddenly snapping back to reality, pulled from her dirty thoughts once more.
Kayama: "O-Oh, right. Yeah. I-I'm down with you...training me-us! I'm okay with that!"
(Y/n): "Awesome! We leave for the woods at 7 A.M. in the morning!"
Rumi and Kayama simply turn to each other...then back to (Y/n)...then back to each other...then finally back to (Y/n)...
Rumi/Kayama: "...What?"
--THE NEXT MORNING; 7 A.M.--
It turned out (Y/n) was not joking when he said meeting at Seven in the morning. And, unfortunately for Rumi and Kayama, that meant they were forced to bare the cold winds as they reluctantly crawled, and fell, out of bed. Of course, both had different struggles in doing this. For one, Rumi was not a morning person...or a midday person...or an afternoon person...or a--The point is! Getting out of bed was torture to her...But she loved every second of it! (Y/n) was already training her in a brutal manner in which she cherished.
So, taking in the pain, Rumi got up at 5 A.M. and went for a quick 10km job around the school grounds to warm her up for a day of fierce training. As for Kayama, she also got up at 5 A.M.. However, her purpose for doing so was not to go for a quick 10km jog...It was to make sure she looked nice for (Y/n). So for two hours, the young girl spent the majority of it in the bathroom, having a shower, brushing her teeth, applying her make-up, picking out a cute workout outfit she just knew (Y/n) would love...
Then she took one step out into the hall to realise she needed to also wear a cute jacket to keep her warm. Once done, it eventually became close to seven where Rumi and Kayam came to meet each other outside the student dorm rooms. There they proceeded to walk toward the bus stop, where (Y/n) awaited them with a smile...Also decked in a singlet and short jeans. The two girls were stunned at how he stood there with a smile and hands on his hips, completely ignoring the freezing winds.
(Y/n): "Morning guys! Ready for some fun?"
Kayama: (Y-Y/n)...Hey?"
Rumi: "It's freezing! I-I mean...Obviously, it doesn't affect me. B-But shouldn't you be wearing something warm?"
(Y/n): "Don't worry! I'm totally warmed up!"
He proceeded to make his courage known by flexing his arm muscles, as soon as Kayama and Rumi saw them on display, any such problem with (Y/n) not wearing something warm was instantly thrown out there window.
Rumi: "Yep! Totally warm!"
Kayama: "No need to put anything on...Whatsoever!"
(Y/n): [Chuckles] "Alright. Well, you guys ready for today or what?"
Kayama: "Oh...You know it."
Of course, (Y/n) didn't hear a single bit of doubt from Kayama's sentence. Instead, he merely smiled back at them both. For the following hour, the trio spent it seated on a bus that took them to the outskirts of the city. When asking (Y/n) where he was taking them, he told them both that it was a special place to him, and that he'd explain more when they got there. That was enough to intrigue both girls to the point they decided not to ask further.
When the bus came to a stop sometime later, all that was around them was a foray of large pine trees and a dirt road. Without a second thought (Y/n) immediately dashed for the dirt path, leaving Rumi and Kayama to reluctantly follow him. The walk up the dirt path was left in relative silence. Though Rumi and Kayama couldn't help but notice the smile (Y/n) carried as he looked around him. All it took was them seeing (Y/n) smile for them to smile themselves.
By the time 8:45 A.M. rolled around, the group reached the end of the dirt path, which led to a beautiful clearing surrounded by the pine trees and a large lake in the centre. Sand mixed with gravel surrounded the outer layers of the body of water, whilst various other paths that led into the woods could be seen from multiple angles. The group proceeded to walk over to a nearby wooden table where they set down their stuff and took in their first view of the area.
Kayama: "This place is so quiet."
Rumi: "I've never seen something like it before."
(Y/n): "Yeah, it is pretty cool, huh?"
Kayama: "How do you know about this place, (Y/n)?"
Rumi: "Do you bring all the girls here?"
Rumi meant the remark quiet seriously, and not as a joke. Genuinely questioning whether or not this was a special place to the boy. He merely turned to her with a smile and scoffed.
(Y/n): "What do you take me for, Rumi? A player?"
Rumi: "...Answer my question, (Y/n)."
(Y/n): [Chuckles] "No. I don't just bring all girls here...A-Anyway, enough questions! Let's get to training! If you guys wanna go place your stuff near the tree over there. I'll set up the course."
Rumi: "The course?"
Rumi questioned loudly, but (Y/n) had already walked off to prepare whatever it was he mentioned. Rumi simply shook it off and grabbed her bag off the table before heading for the tree (Y/n) referred to. As for Kayama, she silently stood there and watched as (Y/n) left. When he was far enough away, she turned back to Rumi, not even reaching for her bag. Instead, her mind focused elsewhere.
Kayama: "Do you think (Y/n) is okay?"
Rumi: "Hmm?" [Turns around] "I suppose...I mean, he does have well-defined muscles. And I am almost certain that he carries the right tools to make any girl have her needs me--"
Kayama: "N-Not that!...Idiot." [Sighs] "I'm talking about in general. Didn't you notice him go a little hesitant when you brought up if he brought any other girls here?"
Rumi: "No. Why? Do you think he was lying? IS HE USING ME?!"
She immediately goes to charge off in the direction of the male. However, she's quickly blocked off by Kayama.
Kayama: "No! You oversized steroid rabbit! I'm just saying...He seemed a little off about it is all. And when I asked him about where he was taking us, he only said this place was special and nothing more."
Rumi: "So...What? He's not telling us something?"
Kayama: "...I don't know."
There was much more Kayama could say about it. Simply, looking over her shoulder as she watched (Y/n) betting momentarily preoccupied by trying to manhandle a fish from the water, presumably to eat. But she found no humour in the moment, simply wondering what could be going on with (Y/n). In the end, that question hovered to the back of her mind as she placed her things over near the tree and walked off with Rumi toward (Y/n). Eventually, they found him standing in a dirt path shaped in a large rectangle. It seemed to be used for some sports games for kids, but right now, it seemed like (Y/n) had other ideas for it.
Kayama: "Uh...(Y/n)? What exactly is this?"
She said, referring to the dirt patch with a smile. Of course, (Y/n) smiled back.
(Y/n): "This...Will be our battlefield."
Kayama: "B-Battlefield?"
Rumi: [Smirks and crushes knuckles] "Now you're talking my language."
(Y/n): "That's the spirit, Rumi!"
Kayama: "Um...(Y-Y/n)? What do you mean? What are we going to do?"
(Y/n): "Well, if you both are going to fight Kiana, you need to be prepared for what type of person she is when fighting. She's quick, and intelligent. So you'll both need to quicker and smarter...That's why I offered to train you. Because that's exactly what I am."
Rumi: [Chuckles] "You're quicker? Ha! I highly doubt that."
(Y/n): [Grins] "Who beat you when we fought back at school again?"
Immediately Rumi went silent, though she was sure to offer (Y/n) a glare. He simply smiled back. Until he noticed a worried look on Kayama's face.
(Y/n): "Hey? Everything okay, Kayama?"
Kayama: "Hmm? Oh...Yeah. It's just...I'm not exactly the best fighter."
(Y/n): "That's alright. I can teach you some moves. But for now..." [Gets into a battle stance] "...Why don't you both just try and get a single punch on me?"
It was as he said that that a smirk ran across (Y/n)'s lips. Meanwhile steam began to rise from his body and he stretched his arm out and aimed his palm toward the two girls. Now, whilst Kayama was hesitant to really do anything, Rumi was more than up to the challenge...
--A Few Minutes Later--
Blam! Bang!
The sounds echoed as Kayama and Rumi were sent crashing to the ground. The two girls quickly lifting their head to see (Y/n) remaining in the same battle stance he was before, his smirk still standing.
(Y/n): "Now...That was a good try."
Rumi: "Argh! I didn't even get a single hit on you!"
(Y/n): "Well, I told you I'm gonna be quicker and smarter than Kiana would. But I believe in you both."
Rumi: "Believe in my foot!"
Immediately Rumi jumps into the air, pulling back her foot for an attack. Meanwhile, Kayama groans as she reluctantly gets back to her feet and follows soon after.
--A Minute Later--
Bang! Crack! Wham! Bam!
Even quicker this time, Rumi and Kayama were thrown to the ground. A gust of dirt flooding the air as they fall on their back and front. Struggling to get up.
Rumi: "Argh...My back..."
Kayama: "My boobs..." [Sits up] "(Y/n), do we seriously have to do this?"
Rumi: "Yes. I would much rather prefer to do this on my own."
With the steam reeling from his body beginning to fade, (Y/n) drops the power stance momentarily to instead offer a simple smile before he approaches both girls and offers them a hand.
(Y/n): "Don't be discouraged. You both are capable of a lot of things." [To Kayama] "If you really want to beat Kiana, you simply need to be shown that you have the ability within you." [Turns to Rumi] "And the only way you'll be able to do it...Is together." [Grins and begins stepping backwards] "Now...Let's try it again!"
With that, (Y/n) resumed his previous battle stance, steam quickly rising from his body as the girls turned to each other and reluctantly prepared themselves for another attack. Later that day, the pair could now be seen up to their chest in water as they stood in the lake side by side.
Kayama: "You know, when (Y/n) said there'd be a lake. I presumed it'd be the perfect opportunity to show off my new swimsuit." [Sighs] "Of course, I should have known it'd have something to do with training."
Rumi: "Well, maybe you should have worn it. That way your oversized boobs may have distracted him enough for me to hit him."
Kayama: "Hey! My boobs aren't oversized! And even if they were...Y-Yours are big too!"
Rumi: "I know. Thanks for noticing."
Kayama: "Why you--"
(Y/n): "We talking about food?"
Immediately the voice of (Y/n) sparked Rumi and Kayama back to life. The pair turning their heads to witness as (Y/n) reentered the water and walked passed them.
Kayama: "Uh...No."
(Y/n): "Oh..."
Rumi: "(Y/n), what are we doing now?"
Kayama: "Yeah? Why the water?"
(Y/n): "For our next step of the training. Now, water is naturally hard to move around, especially the deeper you are. But learning to move quickly in an environment that doesn't necessarily want you to move will help you out when fighting Kiana. So I want you to chase me."
Kayama: "Chase you? Through the water?" [Grins] "Come on, (Y/n), we're not five. That sounds ridiculous."
Rumi: "I agree with the walking hair. That does not sound very good in training (Y/n). It is hardly tough enough."
(Y/n): [Smirks] "I thought you might say that so...I guess you both just aren't willing to beat Kiana."
The words quickly sparked their attention as (Y/n) started to leave the water.
(Y/n): "Gotta admit, I'm a little disappointed. But, oh well. She didn't want me to text her if you two decided to give up and back out of the fight. So I can just--"
It was as (Y/n) was about to walk passed Rumi that he was suddenly stopped by the future rabbit hero, who grabbed his arm.
Rumi: "Don't. You. Dare."
A quick glance back toward Kayama, who showcased the same attitude as Rumi, was all it took for (Y/n) to spawn a smile and return to his previous position.
(Y/n): "Alright then. Well, if you think you can catch me...Let's get right to it."
It was as the sky began to turn orange that (Y/n) and the girls could be seen onto their next training point. This time, a large clearing marked out for archery and other sports was the setting. Rumi and Kayama stood about twenty meters away from (Y/n), who stood at the edge of the field with a basket of tennis balls in his hand.
(Y/n): "The main attack of Kiana is her rifle that's embedded into her arm. The shots are fast, and whilst for your fight, they will only be dummy shots. They will still hurt."
Kayama: [Grins] "So you've decided to play tennis?"
She said, referring to the barrel of balls.
(Y/n): "Well, not exactly." [Grabs a tennis ball] "These tennis balls will represent Kiana's rifle shots. It's up to you two to dodge them when I throw them."
Rumi: "Ha! Please! That will be no problem whatsoever. There is no way you can throw anything so fast that I can't dodge." [Smirks] "Admit it, (Y/n). The one schooling you now is me."
(Y/n): [Grins back] "Is that so? Well...How about I show you what I got?"
Without waiting for an answer, (Y/n) began to walk the way of the girls, continuing until he reached their side. As he did so, he began to playfully toss the tennis ball in his hand up and down. Eventually, (Y/n)'s quirk activated, causing steam to rise from his body, and soon enough, the ball in hand. It was as he offered a final wink toward both Rumi and Kayama, something that caused both girls to blush, that (Y/n) suddenly launched the ball through the air and towards the tree. The strike was so fast that a clear trail of air could be seen left behind from the ball. What was even more impressive was how the tennis ball managed to plunge itself halfway through the body of a pine tree. Such a sight caused both girls to grow speechless.
(Y/n): "But don't worry, Rumi. I'll be sure to bring it down from a Five to a one."
Kayama: "F-Five? So...That wasn't..."
(Y/n): "My full strength? No. I'd be too afraid to kill someone if I went to a Ten. That's why I only went with a three when fighting Enji."
If (Y/n)'s previous action hadn't already left the girls speechless, that one sentence certainly did. Both Rumi and Kayama just stared at the boy as the remembered the mess Enji was in earlier...and all from (Y/n)'s Quirk, which wasn't even at full strength. It made them a little afraid, but nevertheless, they wanted to beat Kiana and this seemed to be the only way to go.
--Later That Night--
"Ow..."
The sound escaped Kayama's lips as she rubbed her back and thigh. Those, amongst plenty of other places, were currently still reeling with stinging pain after being hit with the balls thrown at them by (Y/n). Rumi could also be seen dealing with the pain. But she was trying her best to not show any weakness in front of (Y/n). Currently, the trio could be seen finished training for the day, instead, they were gathered around a campfire, which currently held the night's dinner in a pot that hung above it. The two girls sitting on chopped-off logs, whilst (Y/n) sat on one opposite them.
Kayama: "(Y/n), did you really have to work us out that hard. I mean...Not that I don't like being worked hard or anything~"
Kayama's seductive grin was on full display.
(Y/n): "Huh?"
(Y/n) was quick to lift his head, revealing his face inches from his bowl of hot noodles. When Kayama saw he wasn't listening, she dropped her grin and instead rolled her eyes. But (Y/n) had heard enough that he was ready with a reply...After finishing his food, of course.
(Y/n): "Don't worry, Kayama. It'll all be worth it once the training is finished. You just need to hang in there."
Rumi: "Yes. I don't know about you, Kayimo, but I greatly enjoyed your training, (Y/n). Though, I believe a few moments you could have pushed us harder. Perhaps yelled more?"
(Y/n): "Oh...O-Okay."
Kayama: [To Rumi] "Yeah, well, as I said earlier, I'm not much of a working-out girl. I do enough to keep my body look great and that's about it."
Rumi: "...Yes...We can tell..."
Rumi offers nothing more than a disappointed look up and down Kayama's body before quickly shifting to eating her own bowl of noodles. Kayama stared shocked at Rumi, offended that the future rabbit hero didn't realize how much effort it took to keep her body the way it was. (Y/n) seemed to notice the hurt look on her face and was quick to intervene himself into the conversation in hopes of stopping any fights that were about to break out.
(Y/n): "You're doing great, Kayama. The fact you even came out here for training in the first place is commendable enough."
Kayama: "...Right...The training's the reason I came out here..."
As soon as she finished her sentence Kayama quietly went to eating her food, her eyes focusing on the fire before her. As for (Y/n), he no longer was eating. Instead, his eyes lingered on Kayama's still face. Immediately questions of doubt started pouring into his head. He questioned whether or not he should just stop this now and tell the girls how he felt. To just admit everything to them. But then there were fears about whether or not it was the right time to do it. He brought them to shut a special place to help them train, not so he could reveal his feelings...
The funny thing is, however, sometimes life has a way of bringing things together...
Rumi: "(Y/n), what exactly is this place?"
(Y/n): "Hmm? Sorry?"
Rumi: "It just seems like this place holds some meaning to you. When Kayama brought it up earlier claiming you were a player, and you said you didn't bring all girls here. So I was just curious."
Kayama: "HEY! I DIDN'T SAY THAT! YOU DID YOU...Wait...Did you get my name right?"
Rumi: [Turns to Kayama] "Sorry, what were you saying, Koyima?"
Kayama's left eye merely began to twitch as she contemplated choking the girl next to her. However, before she could do so, she was interrupted by the voice of (Y/n). All it took was a single moment to take in the soft tone in which his voice carried for her to immediately lose all thoughts elsewhere and bring them solely onto this scene right now.
(Y/n): "Uh, well..." [Chuckles softly] "You'd be right about calling this place special..." [Sighs] "Um...When I was young, my parents were going through a rough patch. My Grandpa, who was a Pro Hero. Actually, he was the former Number One hero."
Kayama: "The former number one hero?!"
Rumi: "Your Grandpa was that strong?!"
(Y/n): "He most certainly was. But even with how powerful he was, he still took time out for his family. That how he heard about the divorce. But he didn't want me to go through any of that...
[Your POV]
...So he brought me here. Back in those days, this place was a very popular camping site that he had part ownership in. Now, back then, I didn't exactly know why he brought me here. Whenever I asked, he give me the same reply.
(Y/n): "Grandpa, why'd you bring me to this place? There's no games, or food here...Can we go home?"
Grandpa: "Ha! Ha! Ha! Is food all you think about, (Y/n)?" [Chuckles and sighs] "You definitely are a (L/n)..."
I just looked up at him like he was crazy. Then again, I wouldn't have been the first to think he was. A man who ate a lot and laughed even more. But Grandpa was a strong hero, so people still respected him. So I was merely left to stare at him in confusion as he got down on one knee and placed a hand on my shoulder.
Grandpa: "Tell me, (Y/n), you want to become a hero, right? Just like me?"
(Y/n): "Of course! But I'm gonna be stronger than you!"
Grandpa: "Ha! Ha! Of course, you will!" [Stands up] "But you've got a long way to go to reach that goal, sport. You're nothing but a weakling right now."
(Y/n): "Hey! I am so strong! Stronger than you!"
Grandpa: [Grins] "Oh, yeah? Well then, let's see about that..."
So my Grandpa got me straight to training. The same training I put you both through. My Grandpa showed me no favouritism, nor did he go easy on me. The old fart believed the hardest way possible was best, so when you came to hard times, you'd be able to face them easily. When he told me that when I was seven, I hated him for it. But looking back at it now. I think he was right. Then, one night, we sat in the same spot we are sitting in right now and explained it all to me...
Grandpa: "(Y/n)?"
(Y/n): "MMPH?!"
Of course, my entire focus was on the food. Grandpa decided to starve me until dinner. So I had seven empty bowls of noodles stacked to my side. It was enough to make him laugh, but I could still tell there was a seriousness to his voice as he spoke to me.
Grandpa: "Tell me, (Y/n)...What do you know about your Quirk?"
(Y/n): "Mri Kuirk?" [Swallows food] "Uh...I don't know. I just get really steamy sometimes. Not really a cool Quirk if you ask me."
Grandpa: "That's where you're wrong!" [Burps Loudly] "(Y/n)...Your Quirk, is a special one. It's been passed down for several generations. That means I have it, and so does your Dad."
(Y/n): "You have the same Quirk as me? But you're really strong! And I'm, well...I'm just me..."
Grandpa: "SO?! WHAT'S THAT GOTTA DO WITH ANYTHING?!"
(Y/n): "H-Huh?"
Grandpa: "HA! HA! HA! Relax, (Y/n)! Boy, you're too easy to scare. Ha! Ha! Ha!"
(Y/n): "HEY! I WASN'T SCARED!"
Grandpa: "Sure. Sure. Sit down...I'll explain our Quirk to you...Now, whilst you're right, steam does come from your body. It's so much more than that. Your Quirk is called Hyperventilation. When your body releases the steam, it basically releases all the energy your body has stored up, and when it does, you can be quicker, stronger, and smarter than anyone around you. Basically, it puts your body into overdrive. That's why us (L/n) boys are always so hungry because when we use the Quirk, we use up all our energy. Well, that, and we're hungry..."
Yep, that's basically it. My Quirk basically puts my body into overdrive. Therefore enhancing my attacks. I even learned to channel it into being able to launch smoke from my palms as an attack.
Grandpa: "It's helped a lot of us become heroes. Myself, and your Uncle Taishiro, also known as the hero FAT GUM! But whereas your Uncle took up the family business, your Father wanted a simple life. And I can respect that. But he was telling me about how all you talk about, when your mouth isn't full, that is, that you want to be a hero. That true?"
(Y/n): "Of course! Who doesn't want to be a hero?!"
Grandpa: "And that's why I brought you here. This place is special, (Y/n). Our entire generation was trained here. I was by my Father, and he by his Father, and so on. I even brought my boys here. Now, your Dad didn't become a hero, so I've decided to take that responsibility onto myself..."
I was in so much awe from what my Grandpa was saying that I found myself unable to hear anything else he said. All I remember him saying is that this place was special, and that I should only bring someone here who means so much to me...
[3rd Person POV]
--Present--
And that's what (Y/n) did. He brought two special people to a place that meant so much to him. It was at that time, a few days ago, that (Y/n) was tempted, more so than ever before, to tell both Kayama and Rumi how he felt. But he was held back in that regard by his own fears. But he wasn't going to let those fears hold him back now. However, it was as (Y/n) thought over this that his mind was suddenly brought back to reality, even as he was moving around at Cafeteria at speeds unlike any other, that the voice of his opponent sounded abruptly.
Imasuji: "Haha! What's this? I thought you said this was war?! Well, where's my war?!"
The large grin still remained on his lips as he looked around in circles for (Y/n). It was only rarely that he was able to capture a quick glimpse of the boy before he would disappear again. Which only amused Imasuji more so.
Imasuji: "Haha! Seriously? This is the guy Kayama couldn't stop talking about? She really is a stupid bi--"
Punch!
Out of nowhere a fist of steam delivered a powerful right hook, though it seemed like perhaps that wasn't enough as the punch simply caused Imasuji's head to get knocked back slightly. A few seconds later, his smirk returned as he turned in the direction the punch came from.
Imasuji: "Ha! Is that it?"
He laughed as he looked around him, (Y/n)'s body appearing before disappearing almost instantly. A few more strikes came his way, each barely affecting Imasuji's body due to his Quirk. It was as all this happened that he continued holding onto Kayama's unconscious body. As this happened, more students kept watching in silence until a loud gasp echoed from the crowd when (Y/n) launched at Imasuji in order to do another punch only to be caught by the throat. A muffled groan was all that could be heard from the young boy who grabbed at the hand holding him.
Imasuji: "What's the matter, loser? Wait...Don't tell me you thought you could actually--"
(Y/n): "ARGH!"
The loud scream roared from (Y/n) as he brought his knee up to smash into the balls of Imasuji. The out of nowhere attack caught the muscular villain off guard, causing him to not only drop (Y/n), but Kayama as well. It was when (Y/n) noticed such that he used his quick to speed to catch Kayama before she struck the ground and dashed to a safe distance where he placed her on the floor in front of his friends.
(Y/n): "I..." [Coughs] "I need you guys to look after her, okay?"
Toshinori: "Of course, (Y/n)."
Hizashi: "Look after her?! Forget that! Let's fight this sum bitch together!"
Aizawa: "Sum bitch?" [Sighs] "This isn't some video game."
Hizashi: "I realize that. I'm just pumped up is all."
Toshinori: "I too am also pumped up. Oh, I'm so pumped up I...I...I want to make sure this person that hurt Kayama is in the hospital! For a long time even!"
Enji: "Haha! Forget the hospital..." [Cracks knuckles] "I'm gonna put him in the ground."
It seemed Enji was seconds away from doing that when he was suddenly blocked off by the hand of (Y/n). Upon looking down at the boy, the group of friends were surprised to see a serious expression focused solely on Imasuji in the distance, who could be seen leaning against a table as he got to his feet.
(Y/n): "Let me handle him. He hurt Kayama, so I'm gonna hurt him."
Enji: [Chuckles] "Alright then! Ha! I like this side of you, (Y/n)!"
Toshinori: "I don't!" [Hides behind Enji] "This (Y/n) is scary!"
Only the head of the blonde could be seen poking out from behind Enji's back. The action caused the tall redhead to shake his head in dismay before Hizashi bounced in front of the group to grab (Y/n) by the shoulders.
Hizashi: "(Y/n), you can't be serious, right?! You saw what happened when you punched him, your Quirk did nothing!"
(Y/n): "I wasn't using my Quirk at full force. That was only a two."
Hizashi: "You...You weren't?" [Leans toward Aizawa and whispers] "Those punches would have killed a man, right?"
Aizawa just glanced at his friend before Hizashi leaned back over toward (Y/n).
Hizashi: "E-Even so! You see this guy! His whole Quirk is about absorbing attacks! And your Quirk is giving them!"
(Y/n): "So I'll just give him an attack that he can't absorb. Simple as that."
Hizashi: "Simple as--You heard yourself, right? Look, dude, let's just wait for the teachers to get here and--"
(Y/n): "No! I'm not waiting! Okay?! This guy hurt Kayama and Rumi! As soon as he did that he was dead meat walking. How the hell do you think I'm just going to let him go after he hurt the girls I like okay?"
It was at that moment that the eyes of both Rumi and Kayama burst open. Rumi, because she was a rabbit and could hear everything thanks to her ears, and Kayama had just so happened to have been waking up at that very moment. But as soon as she heard the words, she was rocketed awake. However, she remained silent on the ground so she could hear more of what (Y/n) said.
(Y/n): "Look, I...I've already wasted enough time telling them both how I feel. I don't want to waste anymore time in protecting them. So please...Let me do what I've got to do."
As (Y/n)'s words came to an end, all Hizashi could do was stare at his friend in disbelief. It was obvious by the way (Y/n)'s words affected him that there wasn't nothing he could do to stop them, even if he wanted to. In the end, Hizashi remained still as (Y/n) turned around and began walking off back toward Imasuji who was now standing on his feet and getting angrier than he was before.
As for Kayama and Rumi, they were left speechless as they took in what they had just heard. They now knew for a fact that (Y/n) liked them. It made them so happy, but they were also worried that he was going right back in to fight Imasuji. It was as (Y/n) did this that a narrowed glare formed on his face, directed solely at his opponent. When Imasuji saw him coming, the skin on both of his arms peeled away to reveal the muscular biceps of the future villain.
Imasuji: "You wanna fight dirty, huh? Well, bring it, worm! I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU!"
Without another word, Imasuji pounced off his feet and began charging at (Y/n). A path had already been cleared from the surrounding students so the matter of any more people getting hurt was definitely unlikely to happen. So with the path clear, there wasn't anything blocking (Y/n)'s view from the rampaging Imasuji whose heavy footsteps made literal imprints in the ground. The anger in his eyes exploded to new levels. It was at this very moment that the doors to the cafeteria slammed open with a plethora of teachers rushing inside.
But (Y/n) didn't focus on them. He simply kept his mind focused on Imasuji. This was it. The end of the war. It was with that confirmation within that (Y/n) took a stand, both his feet slamming into the ground as he got into a battle stance. Imasuji's footsteps got louder and louder. Steam slowly began to rise from (Y/n)'s body. Imasuji pulled his right arm back, ready to strike (Y/n) with a finishing blow. (Y/n)'s eyes finally opened...And when they did it all happened in the blink of an eye. Without warning or hesitation, (Y/n)'s right hand cut through the air within seconds.
A trail of steam was built up with. When his arm finally reached as far as it could, an after-image of his fist made in the form of steam continued heading forward. Imasuji noticed this but saw nothing of it. Thinking it was yet another simple punch...It was not. For a few seconds later, as the first of steam finally made contact with Imasuji's chest, the towering male was suddenly sent flying back. The attack was faster than anyone expected, and the outcome was just as fast. If you were to ask anyone present when this moment went down, they'd all say how silent it was.
There was not a single noise as (Y/n)'s fist collided with Imasuji's chest and sent him violently flying through the air. The sight alone was enough to freeze (Y/n)'s friends, Kayama and Rumi, and even the teachers watching. Everyone witnessed in complete shock the sight of a behemoth like Imasuji getting tossed around like a rag doll by someone like (Y/n). A single punch was all it took, a single punch of (Y/n) bringing his attack level up to a Ten, to send Imasuji crashing through the wall of U.A.'s Cafeteria and into the courtyard outside.
After it happened, the silent tone of it all remained for but a few minutes. It was only when everyone realized what happened that they all suddenly exploded in a violent wave of cheers and screaming. Everyone was shocked, the teachers couldn't believe what they had just seen. But for Rumi and Kayama, they weren't surprised by any of it. Over all this time they realized just how great of a person (Y/n) was, and the added fact that they knew he liked them was only an added bonus. But one that wouldn't be gained until a few days later, when (Y/n) could be seen standing atop U.A.'s roof with the two girls standing before him. It was only now that (Y/n) had asked to speak with them.
(Y/n): "Uh...T-Thanks for meeting me here guys. I, uh...I'm glad we could finally get this moment together."
Kayama: "Uh, y-yeah..."
Rumi: [Arms crossed] "I suppose."
The sight of Kayama nervously looking to the ground whilst Rumi had her arms crossed and eyes narrowed toward (Y/n) left the boy as nervous as he possibly could be right now. So much so he could barely gather the words to speak. Eventually, he was able to, however.
(Y/n): "Look..." [Sighs] "T-There's something I wanted to say to you guys...Something I've wanted to do for--"
Kayama: "(Y/n), wait..."
(Y/n): "Huh?"
Immediately getting cut off, (Y/n)'s gaze was lifted to see a hesitant look on Kayama's face. Truly, it was a power so many girls had over guys. All it would take was a simple change of expressions for their inner thoughts to run wild, and right now, the same could exactly be said for (Y/n). Immediate fear surrounded his face as he watched Kayama nervously rub the side of her arm, her gaze lingering on every spot but his eyes, as she finally gathered the courage to speak.
Kayama: "I...We...We know what you're going to say."
(Y/n): "...You do?!"
Kayama: "Well, if it's what I'm thinking...Yeah."
(Y/n): "So you know I--"
Kayama: "Yeah..."
(Y/n): "...And the awkward silence walking here was because you--"
Kayama: "Yeah...A-And, I'm sorry." [Sighs] "Fuck...Look, I'm sorry to interrupt you with this. I-I just...I just want to apologise."
(Y/n): "You want to...Apologise? What for?"
The question immediately became the only thought (Y/n) had. Even with the shocking fact he now had, that revealed Kayama knew what he was about to confess. It was due to both of these that left the boy speechless as the pretty girl before him continued to speak.
Kayama: "I want to say I'm sorry, because...for months now I've felt the same way. I have ever since we first went shopping together. A-At first, when I was flirting with you, I was just doing it because I was bored..."
(Y/n): "Oh..."
Kayama: "...But when you told me you thought I was pretty, everything changed. There was just a sincerity about the way you said it that really stuck with me. I mean, I've been called pretty before, but never had it caused me any lack of sleep. It...It wasn't until I realized that I liked you."
That one sentence was all it took for (Y/n)'s eyes to widen in complete shock. He had just heard that Kayama liked him back. Now, sure, he guessed as much already. But still, there was a part of him that made him fear that everything going on was nothing more then a mirage. A false hope given to a boy who didn't have much as a kid, who was already hurt by love once. But now he was finally hearing it, it gave him a wave of peace in life. Though, there was one question left...
(Y/n): "Wait-But what are you apologising for?"
Kayama: "Because..." [Smiles softly] "...Because instead of just telling you how I felt like a normal person, I ended up getting into a fight with Rumi over who liked you more."
(Y/n): "Rumi..." [Glances to Rumi] "I-Is this true? I mean...I always guessed you guys didn't exactly like each other but--"
Rumi: "It is not true!"
(Y/n): "H-Huh?"
Rumi: "I would never fight over a boy. I am more mature than that!"
(Y/n): "O-Oh, I-I, uh--I thought you liked me as well?"
Rumi: "I do no--"
SMACK!
The sudden sound was all it took to silence the rabbit in her pursuit of words. Rumi's eyes were left frozen in a wide state as behind her, Kayama could be seen as the cause of the slap, after whacking Rumi behind the head. Another person shocked was also (Y/n).
(Y/n): "Kayama...?"
Rumi: "...She hit me?"
Kayama: "Yes, I did. But only so we can stop this shit already. I'm not going to keep up with this pretending anymore...I'm sick of it...So I'm going to just say what I've been wanting to say for so long now..." [Turns to you] "(Y/n), I like you. I think you're funny, and hot, and caring, and supportive. Normally my mind focuses on the first two things. I've never had an emotional connection with a boy before...Before you..."
(Y/n): "Really? B-But I thought you've dated other guys before?"
Kayama: "I have. And at the time I felt like I loved them. But after spending so much time chasing you, I realize that I didn't love them...I love you. You've always believed in me, even when I didn't believe in myself. And when we went away for that training...And you told us how special it was to you...I couldn't help but love you even more. So...That's what I wanted to say." [Smiles] "I like you. And I'm sorry I didn't say that sooner like I should have. I...I thought you wouldn't like me back when I wasn't the only one to like you..."
It was clear by the look on her face, and the sound of her voice, that for the first time in a while, Kayama didn't carry that noticeable confidence about her. Something (Y/n) always admired about the girl. But now that it wasn't here, he was left surprised. However, he didn't let that hold him back from offering a smile and a supportive look in his eyes directed solely on Kayama.
(Y/n): "Kayama...How could you say that?"
Kayama: [Lifts head] "Huh? What?! What do you mea--"
(Y/n): "How could you say I wouldn't like you back? How could I not? There's so much about you that I love!"
Slowly a blush formed on the young girl's face as she stared at (Y/n) in awe.
(Y/n): [Smiles] "I mean, I was always a bit jealous of you, before I even liked you."
Kayama: "You...You were?"
(Y/n): "Of course! How could I not be jealous of someone so confident in every action she does? Whenever we had classes together, I always noticed how you didn't let anything phase you when brought upon you by the teacher. Even if you didn't necessarily like it, you still did the best you could." [Chuckles] "I know it might sound dumb, but, when I was younger...I always wanted to be like that...So seeing someone I eventually came to care about as more than a friend...It only made me love you even more."
Kayama: "L-L-Love? A-As in...Love...Love?"
(Y/n): "I guess. I-I wasn't really sure if I should say it. I didn't want things to be awkward."
Kayama: "Oh, trust me, things have been awkward for the last few weeks!"
A joyous smile sprung across Kayama's face as she said those words, mainly due to the fact that (Y/n) didn't just like her...He loved her! It may not sound like much to some, but after chasing after a boy for so long, it was like getting cold water after walking through a desert for so long. Now that she finally had it, she could barely get this amazing feeling out of her chest. Unfortunately, whilst Kayama and (Y/n) allowed themselves to simply laugh and smile at one another, there was still another person present.
Rumi found her tough exterior beginning to drop. Her arms were still crossed, but the look on her face was quickly fading. Her lips had now formed a frown, and her eyes were too afraid to look at (Y/n). The thing that hurt the most was the sound. It was this one moment where she cursed having an extra pair of ears. It was just so hurtful having to stand there and listen to the boy you like talk about what he loved about another person, especially a girl. Having that person be Kayama, someone who Rumi had felt she became friends with, hurt even more.
Now, Rumi wouldn't admit such a thing. But ever since Lady Nagant had showed up, Rumi had found it nice in sharing a rivalry with Kayama directed toward someone else. Rumi had never really had friends due to her personality. But after the victories, defeats, and funny moments she had shared with Kayama in their quest to get with (Y/n) was truly something she enjoyed the most now that she thought back on it. But now that happiness was leaving because it was clear that (Y/n) liked Kayama more than her...Yeah...Rumi kinda forgot that (Y/n) liked her as well.
Suddenly everything turned back to the future rabbit hero when out of nowhere she began to walk off passed (Y/n) and headed towards the stairwell. Of course, (Y/n) and Kayama were still staring into each others eyes, so it wasn't until Rumi had reached him that they noticed the sudden movement. It wasn't until Rumi had reached the door to the stairwell did (Y/n)'s eyes finally land on her.
(Y/n): "Rumi, where are you going?"
Rumi: "I am going to the gym, (Y/n). I...I am upset, and it helps me feel better."
Kayama: "U-Upset? Why are you sad?"
Rumi: "I am not sad! What? Has the over excessive makeup gone to your head, Kayama? I said I am upset! Not sad!"
(Y/n): "But why are you upset then?"
As soon as (Y/n) asked that question, Rumi went silent. Whereas Rumi had always been good with her fists, she had never been good with words. So much so that whilst she was left in this stalemate, she contemplated just suddenly opening the door next to her and jump down the stairs to get away from this all. However, before she could fully commit to such a plan, she was suddenly caught off guard when the voice of Kayama suddenly spoke up with a playful tone.
Kayama: "I know why she's upset, (Y/n)...Rumi is upset that you haven't said nice things to her yet..."
(Y/n): "Huh?"
Rumi: "What?! N-No, I'm not! I-I'm upset about different things...Stupid."
Her glare was quick to return. Focused solely on Kayama, who just grinned as she came to (Y/n)'s side and hugged his arm. As for (Y/n), he just noticed all this and realized this was the perfect opportunity to have some fun with another person he cared so much about. Such became clearer when out of nowhere (Y/n) began walking toward the girl with rabbit ears with a noticeable grin on his face. Something Rumi noticed instantly.
(Y/n): [Grins] "Well then, if Rumi is upset about that...I think I have a few things I could say to cheer her up."
Rumi: "(Y-Y/n)...What are you doing? I-I said I didn't--"
Kayama: "Is Rumi stuttering? She must really feel special right now, (Y/n), just the thought of you saying nice things to her is making her excited."
(Y/n): "Oh, yeah, you think so?"
Rumi: [Blushes slightly] "T-That is not true! You both are blind!"
Kayama: "Oh, that's not going to work this time~"
Rumi could only glare at Kayama, her once enemy, turned ally, turned enemy again was on full display for Rumi's vicious gaze. That was until it was suddenly cut off by the smile of (Y/n), who now stood in front of her. As soon as she realized just how close (Y/n) was now, Rumi's head quickly dropped in silence as the boy continued to near her.
(Y/n): "Now, where to start off with some nice things for Rumi? Oh! I know...One of the things I love about Rumi is how she doesn't take crap from anyone, and will quickly intimidate them in not underestimating her just because she's small and cute."
Rumi: "Cute?"
Immediately her ears popped up as her head turned to (Y/n). Though when she saw the way both (Y/n) and Kayama were looking at her, she was quick to bring back the glare. Of course, that was soon followed by a sharp punch to (Y/n)'s right arm with her fist.
(Y/n): "Ow!"
Rumi: "I am not c-cute, (Y/n)! I'm mean! And tough! A-And you're just as stupid as Kayama is!" [Crosses arms and turned around] "You should both just leave me alone..."
Now, that was the exact opposite of what Rumi wanted. But her stubborn attitude wouldn't allow her to admit the truth. The truth that she secretly liked (Y/n) calling her cute, and the fact that Kayama was kinda her friend now. They made her happy, but she couldn't show that to anyone. At least, that's what she thought...
"But how can I leave you alone when I love you too?"
Again, her ears perked up. Not long after, her head turned back to (Y/n), to see a smile spread across his lips, even with the pain coursing through his arms still.
(Y/n): "There's a lot I love about you, Rumi. You're attitude in love. Your sense of humor. The way you never give in, and motivate me to do better in school. I loved the fights we had in class, and the fact you're one of the people I feel closest to helps as well. But, the thing I loved about you the most...Is your muscles."
As soon as (Y/n) said that part, Kayama's eyes turned to the boy. It was something she didn't expect him to say. He thought he'd complement Rumi's beauty or something, like he did with her. But instead, he complimented her muscles. Kayama was about to step in, after questioning whether (Y/n) was a little more clueless than she first thought. When suddenly...
"...So you like my muscles that much, huh?"
Kayama: "Huh?"
Turning back to Rumi, Kayama was shocked to see a grin now spread across the future rabbit heroes lips. The confident aggression once more present in her eyes as she faced the boy before her.
(Y/n): "Y-Yeah...I love them!"
Rumi: [Chuckles] "...I should not be surprised. They are quite impressive."
(Y/n): "They really are. I think they make you look even prettier, Rumi."
Rumi: "O-Of course you do...I am quite great. Though, I should not be surprised you say this, (Y/n). Even with you confessing your love to Kayama, I should have known she would not be enough for you. She is too soft."
Kayama: "Excuse me?!"
Immediately Kayama placed her hands on her hips, stormed passed (Y/n), and quickly set her glare on the girl in front of her.
Kayama: "What exactly do you mean by me being 'too soft'."
Rumi: "I am clearly referring to your body. You have too much thick flesh and curves. Your body should be toned, like mine. That is why (Y/n) does not like you the most."
Kayama: "D-Doesn't like me the most? Why would you think that?"
Rumi: "Because, he told me. Just now."
Kayama: "WHEN?!"
Rumi: "Just now. When he said my muscles make me prettier then you."
Kayama: "He did not say that!"
Rumi: "Yes, he did. I heard him."
Kayama: "I was standing right here! I heard everything he said!"
Rumi: "Clearly not, as you still think he thinks you're prettier then me. You are wrong."
Kayama: "I'm not!"
Rumi: "Am too."
"Am not!"
"Am too."
"Am not!"
"Am too."
"Am not!"
"Am too."
Back and forth the pair went, right before (Y/n)'s eyes. But he didn't dare try to intervene. The sight of Rumi and Kayama playfully arguing was something (Y/n) loved about the both of them. It reminded how cute he thought they were together, and that they really did feel something for him. After everything that happened, this little fight was the confirmation he needed to realize that perhaps this war on love was finally over. Now they could be together, have a peaceful life, and hopefully grow deeper feelings for--"
"(Y/N)! TELL US WHO YOU THINK IS PRETTIER!"
(Y/n): "Huh?"
Immediately popping out of his thoughts, (Y/n) saw the faces of both Rumi and Kayama turned toward him. Both clearly agitated by the other as they a waited their boyfriends response. Yes, boyfriend. It was definitely confirmed this time...It just wasn't confirmed in the common sense. Though, such was hinted at when (Y/n) refused to respond, and simply just laughed as he walked toward the girls. Upon reaching them he threw his arms around their necks and held them close.
(Y/n): "I think you're both very pretty. So much so I would love to take these pretty girls on a date tonight, if that was alright?"
The words were all it took to silence them both. The fact (Y/n) was taking them on a date was clearly something they had pictured, but never thought would happen...Until now. Even so, these words appeared to be enough to silence the pair down as (Y/n) opened the door to the stairwell and began walking back down to the ground floor. His new girlfriends in arms. (Y/n) came to realize that love may not be pretty...But it was certainly worth all the struggles and turmoil when you have such pretty girls to call your own. But honestly...He was just glad this damn war was finally over...
Rumi: "...Of course, (Y/n) still thinks I am prettier."
Kayama: "He neVER SAID THAT!"
(Y/n): "Hahaha!!!"
...Or not.
Nothing but the sound of (Y/n)'s laughter echoed in the air as the tale of this story finally comes to an end...Or has it...?
[Alright, the book is finally done...Or kinda~ I'm thinking about doing something I did on my old account which is basically when a book finishes, I have the final chapter (This one) and then I have a Ten Years Later special which basically showcases the world in ten years from the end of this book. So if I did that, it'd be current timeline MHA, with Midnight being a teacher at U.A. and whatnot. So, in saying that...
Would you guys want a 'Ten Years Later' Special Chapter?
A.) Yes
B.) No
Not sure when it will come out, heck, I'm not even sure if this chapter will do well. But...If this chapter manages to get over...say...165 votes in 24 hours, I will bring you all a 10k word, 10 Years After special...NEXT WEEK!
So, yeah, if that's something you want, feel free to vote and comment to let me know if that's something you'd be interested in... If that's the case, I'll save the thanks you's and support for this book for the next chapter...I GUESS THE WAR ISN'T OVER YET, BABY!!!]
