Chapter - 08

He walked, neither looking forward nor looking where. His footsteps echoed as the painful silence tortured his very soul. Around him, everything was red.
He had done this.
It was all his fault.
Even if he was only an eight year old boy.
It was no excuse.
He was a monster.
A monster who didn't flinched as he just walked through thousands of bodies of dead people covered in blood.
The Chosen One.
That's what he was known as.
He was no longer Ash Ketchum, the boy he once used to be.
Because Ash Ketchum was someone who was loved by everyone, who protected his loved ones.
He will never kill anyone. Never.
But... Ash Ketchum was gone.
"Huff... huff... there you... are." A sweet, angelic voice said, panting.
Could it be an angel?
He looked up to see the honey blonde girl with bright ocean blue eyes, he flinched as he saw her lips curve upwards at him.
She was smiling... at a monster like him?
He didn't deserved this.
"Let's go back, everyone is worried about you, Ash." She said with the most beautiful smile he has ever seen.
How can she say that and smile at him... at a monster... who killed thousands of people?
"Se...re...na." Her name sounded odd yet sweet on his tongue.
"I'm here, Ash. It's okay. You didn't killed these people, you saved them." Serena smiled sadly, taking his hand in hers and smiling at him.
What was she talking about?
Saved them?
But, he killed them!
How could that save them?!
He was a mons-
"They were all the people who gave their aura in past to save this place. To save Mew and the beginning tree. But, their souls couldn't leave this place even after hundreds of years passed. So, when you lost the control on your aura... you ended up saving them." She glowed or maybe he was just hallucinating but the next thing he knew was everything went black and he heard her voice whisper.
"Sleep tight, Ash. I will not give up until I heal your broken aura. And don't forget that I always l-"
*Splash*
The raven haired boy sat up, looking at himself in shock. He was drenched in cold water from head to toe. His eyes widened, he saw his step brother who was looking at him with a worried look, holding Squirtle in his arms as if ready to spray him again.
"What the fuc* is wrong with you?!" The raven haired boy glared at his so called step brother who sighed then smirked at him, letting his Squirtle sit on the bed.
"Well, well, sleeping beauty is finally awake. Anyways, it ain't my fault that you were crying in your sleep, talking shi* that I don't understand and also you were repeating your girlfriend's name over and over again. So, I just thought to wake you up. Besides, you should be thankful that I didn't have my Infernape use Flamethrower to wake you up or something." Silver smirked as he explained, looking at his step brother.
"You... you... I'm going to kill you, you bastar*!!!" The raven haired boy said, jumping and tackling his step brother to the floor.
"Take this!"
"Hah! That's all you got, take this!"
"Pfft! I bet your girlfriend has more powerful punches than you!"
"Hey! Don't you dare drag Serena into this! And take this!"
"Ooh~ Did I hit the nerve? How about this!"
"Shut up! And take this!"
"How about this!"
The whole room was shaking, many of the members ran to see what was going on as they heard their bosses' voices as if the two were fighting someone but they were surprised to see the two boys panting heavily on the floor and sitting next to each other as if they had ran a marathon or something. While behind their trainers Squirtle and Pikachu sweat dropped while looking at their trainers as if saying 'They really are brothers.'
"Man, I never had a fight like that in ages!" The raven haired boy smiled at his step brother who was looking at him with a smirk.
"Can't say the same. Though, I never fought someone without using aura except lowlifes like you-know-who. Anyways, that was a great fight, Ash." Silver stood up from the ground, giving his elder step brother his hand to help him stand, remembering the time when the Ketchums lived together with their father/step father and mothers.
Before the raven haired boy could say anything they sensed red aura and the two brothers gulped looking at each other knowing exactly what or who was coming.
"I TOLD YOU NOT TO FIGHT, YOU IDIOTS!!!" A familiar voice shouted as a boy with red eyes and raven haired walked in, glaring at his brothers.
"WE'RE SORRY, PLEASE DON'T KILL US, ONII-SAN!!!" The younger brothers said in unison, scared to death, making the others' jaw drop to the ground in shock.
Footsteps were heard as a boy with his mahogany hair and viridian eyes ran in with a wooden sword in his hand.
"Fear not! For I, the great Gary Oak, your prince is here to save you my dear Lillie flower---?" The mahogany haired boy said until he noticed where he was, making everyone sweat drop.
"What the hel* is... Gary Oak doing here?!" The youngest Ketchum present in the room asked, looking at the oldest Ketchum present in the room.
The raven haired boy with brown eyes facepalmed, knowing what his elder brother was planning to do. Red had indeed, tricked Gary into believing the fact that Lillie had been kidnapped by someone and that he needs to rescue his dear Lillie flower as her prince or knight in shining armor.
"Is he really who I think he is?!" Gary gasped, seeing the youngest Ketchum after so many years he was shocked.
"Yes. It's me, Silv-" The boy with silver hair said before he was cut off.
"Long time no see, Whitey! I thought you died in a pit or something!" The mahogany haired boy smirked, looking at Silver, trying to annoy him.
The two raven haired boys sighed as they witnesed the long lost rivalry of Silver Ketchum and Gary Oak. Silver and Gary used to be rivals in most of the things. However, they always lost to Ash whenever they were competing for the same thing. So, simply saying Ash was or probably still is, their ultimate undefeated rival. Though, Ash mostly lost to Red in anything they competed. However, these four never let a win or loss harm their friendship or rivalry. It made their mothers happy.
In one thing Red and Ash were always equal. They both had girls falling at their feet. They both dived in to save anyone, even a stranger if needed help, they didn't cared if it was a girl, boy, a child or anyone. And because of that they were known as the "Twin Knights of Pallet Town" in their middle school.
"Oh, too bad, I didn't. Though, I am disappointed to see that you have not grown up yet, still playing with that wooden sword of yours, Oak-Tree." The silver haired boy smirked, letting his anger calm down, not wanting his long lost rival to see that he was angry.
Ash knew it wasn't very good to think like this but he just wanted to sit down, grab some popcorn and quietly watch the show which should be filmed and named as "The Long Lost Rivalry". He probably would have sat down, grab some popcorn and enjoyed the rivalry if his elder brother wasn't there.
"Cut it out! Do you have a death wish or something?!" The raven haired boy with brown eyes said, glaring at them, pushing them away, getting a satisfied smile from his elder brother.
"Oh, I've got an idea! Why don't we four settle the score for a certain limit of time?" The mahogany haired boy said, smirking at the three brothers who locked at him in confusion.
"Fine then! I'll show you what I can do, Oak-tree!" The silver haired boy said as he accepted the challenge, not even knowing what it was.
"...alright! What do we have to do?" The two raven haired brothers asked in unison as they looked at the mahogany haired boy who smirked at them.
With that smirk the Ketchums knew they were going to be in trouble.
