Matteo's POV

When I got home I told my brother I Doordashed to Sage. He wasn't too happy but I don't really care what he thinks. It's not like I choose to get her as my customer. The past couple of days for some reason I can't get Sage out of my mind. It's like she put a spell on me or something. 

I was a major romantic at heart but I covered it up by being a fuck boy. That's the image my mother and step father expected because of the life we live. I wanted to get out of the house for a bit so I decided to go Doordash again for a little. 

I was about three deliveries in so I decided to take a break. I wanted to go to this old park I remembered from my childhood. I played there with Axel before everything happened and I was sent to Italy to live with my mother. 

Before I got to the park I got another notification from Doordash with the name reading Sage Griffin. It almost appeared as the letters were bold. Telling me to go see her. I knew they weren't. I needed to see her again though. 

I waited a few minutes debating if I should accept it or not. I ended up accepting. I sped the whole way there, rushing to see her.

Sage's POV

I just got back from my parents house and decided to get Doordash again cause I'm too lazy to drive anywhere right now. I decided to sit down for a bit and watch my favorite series while I waited for my food. Of course it was criminal minds. I watched it for the crime aspect but also for Spencer Reid and Derek Morgan. 

I was about half way through an episode when my phone went off and someone had picked up my order. I didn't really think about it so I continued to watch my show. About twenty minutes later I heard a knock on my door. 

I started to open my door when I finally saw who it was. I almost slammed the door in his face but I didn't. I just stood there quietly waiting for him to hand me my order but instead he was just staring at me. It felt like hours but were really just minutes. 

"Uhm, are you gonna give me my order?" I say, giggling a little. 

"What? Oh, yeah I'm sorry" he saying laughing I could tell he was kind of nervous I didn't want this interaction to end. I decided to keep it going 

"Aren't you Axel's older brother, I said. 

"Oh, yeah I am." How did you know?" he said looking nervous. 

 "I could tell mainly by the looks but also because of the chain you're wearing." Axel has the exact same one" I said awkwardly. 

"I'm really sorry for what he did to you, he knows better." he said. 

"It's okay, everyone does dumb shit once in a while" I said trying to get off the subject. I thought the conversation was gonna end there but it didn't 

"So, how've you been recently" he says. 

"I've been better, I haven't really been out of my house" I said smiling. 

"Yeah, I've noticed because of the Doordash orders. If you want, would you wanna go to the beach with me tomorrow? We could meet at the ice cream shop then walk down" he said smiling. 

"Oh, that sounds fun but I already have plans" I said awkwardly. 

"Alright then if you change your mind just shoot me a text here." He handed me his phone with it ready for me to put my phone number in. We exchanged phone numbers and then he left in his black Mercedes. 

I wondered why someone who has a black expensive looking Mercedes would keep Doordashing everyday. I walked back inside and plopped down on the couch contemplating what I should do. It sounds fun and I haven't been out of the house in awhile especially with anyone. He's also my ex-boyfriends older brother.
