Police Officer's POV

We had been told that they received a distress call by the nine one one operator. We did not know the exact details of the scene we were heading towards. The call came from the Griffin's household.

 It was their daughter Sage calling in saying that she needed someone there now. My partner and I were sent to respond. I wonder what is going on at the house. They were a nice family, extremely well known and had tons of money.

 I thought to myself that it couldn't be that bad. When we arrived at the house Sage was distraught. She was hysterically crying and yelling. Dr. Abby Griffin was laying on the floor with a broken vase beside her. She clearly was hurt and had a large gaping cut on her forehead. 

She appeared to be dazed and floating in and out of consciousness. That's when I realized it was worse than we thought. Mr. Daniel Giffin threatened me and my partners' positions if we ever told anyone about this. He knew the police commissioner; they were extremely close friends.

 He opened a large safe that was conveniently behind him. It was filled with loads of cash and large guns. He pulled out a large wad of cash and slipped us a thousand dollars each. I felt terrible but I can't risk losing my job. I needed to support my family. 

My wife just had a new baby, and we needed the money. My partner and I left the scene without taking Mr. Daniel Griffin into the precinct.
