Something you could never own

After a couple of weeks Lucy and Kevin friendship as gotten stronger. Diego realized that his daughter loved Kevin.

Diego was out walking thinking about his mate. Diego wished to be with Ashley. He missed her affection that she showed him.

As he was lost in thoughts he crossed path with Shira. Shira would try to talk to Diego but Diego would always ignore her not wanting to give her attention.

Shira spoke, "Hey Diego."

Diego was snapped out by Shira. Diego looked at Shira in disgust. Diego continued walking ignoring Shira.

Shira spoke, "Diego listen to me. I wanted to tell you that I changed."

Diego stopped by his tracks and looked at Shira

Diego spoke, "Who did you change for?"

Shira responded, "For you."

Diego started laughing at Shira's comments.

Diego spoke, "Seriously? You changed for me. How sweet of you. Knowing that you have Sean. No matter how you change you are still the same saber who I know."

Shira spoke, "Why are you like this? Don't you see I'm doing for you."

Diego spoke, "Don't care. Trying to get to me won't help. I'm already broken by you and by my mate's death. The only hope I have is my daughter. I'm willing to die for her if I have to."

Then Shira started to be prescient, "Diego please give me a another chance. I would leave Sean for you."

That rage Diego that Shira wouldn't understand.

Diego spoke angrily, "Enough! Don't you see I don't want you!"

Shira started to be aggressive and spoke, "You will be mine no matter what. Now I'm attracted by your body and strength."

Diego knew if Shira continued is going to end bad. Diego decided to leave Shira. He ain't going to deal with it. Diego fled in order not to get caught. Diego started to think that Shira is now a psychopath.

Diego went back home wondering what to do. More than ever he wants to leave. But he didn't want to upset his daughter separating from Kevin.

Diego has days passed Diego stayed home most of the time. He only goes out for hunting.

Diego wished to have his mate with him. Suddenly he felt shivers on his spine. Like he something telling him to prepare himself.

He couldn't shake off the feeling. He started to feel nervous. He wondered why he was feeling that way.

Then Lucy returned back home seeing her father troubled.

Lucy spoke concern, "Daddy something wrong?"

Diego looked at his daughter and responded, "No everything is okay."

Lucy stared at her father knowing he was lying.

Lucy spoke, "No lying. I can tell."

Diego noticed that Lucy can tell how someone feels by looking at them. Lucy have sharp eyes.

Diego signed and spoke, "My ex is trying to get to me and started to be aggressive with me. I'm trying to stay away from her. I want to leave this place but I can't for you."

Lucy felt bad for her father. He has to deal with his past.

Lucy spoke, "I wish mommy was here."

Diego spoke, "Yeah, same here. I want to be with your mother."

Lucy started to comfort her father. Diego appreciated that he has daughter that cares about him helping him during hard times.
