❤• Chapter 6: A Long Day at The Mall •❤

Sinon's POV

I roamed the mall wearing my usual attire. Denim pants, a V-neck T-shirt, and on top a dark blue jacket. Well, that's pretty much the reason why I'm here with money for once. My dad checked my closet and cringed at my wardrobe choices. The only color you'll see on my closet is black, gray, dark blue, and other dull colors, which made my dad furious. He demanded me to go to the mall to shop for colorful clothes, though I pity my money. Spending it on something I wouldn't even wear.

I heard my stomach grumble loudly as I pitifully shushed my growling belly. I can't even use the money to buy food.

I massaged my cheeks since I felt it stiffen like it's going to permanently embed my frown on my face. The disadvantages of frowning that it gives you wrinkles, and soon I'll be more wrinkly than a granny in a bath. Not that I care about my look, it's just that my face looks repulsive as it is, I'm not going to furthermore tamper with it.

I headed straight to Forever 21 since it has clothes that makes you look like a prostitute. I got to engrossed in my thought and accidentally felt myself in a hard, metallic bump as I raised my head to see it was a girl in the middle of the walkway. I felt like giving her the cold shoulder and scowl at her, before her eyes widened to a huge grin.

"I remember you!" She exclaimed. I looked at her confusingly.

"Sorry, do I know you?" I awkwardly asked as she snorted, unladylike.

"You don't remember?" She grinned as I shook my head profusely.

"I'm an amputee at the Incheon hospital, Lani. You were visiting your friend at the emergency room that time, and you comforted me when I thought that I'd never walk again. You're Sinon right?" She chirped as my head perked up in realization.

"Wait, that was three years ago," I proclaimed.

"Nothing much happens when you don't have a leg," she giggled, pulling up the sleeves on her pants. "Now, I have a slick metallic leg. It sometimes drags my walk but otherwise it's cool." She smiled toothily as I gaped at her leg.

"That's......" I continued to stare at it. "Actually pretty cool." I nodded in approval as ecstasy took over her features.

"We're going to be the best of friends." She declared which caused me to frown. It's easy to be mean when it's directed to a boy, but when it comes to a girl, I can't just crush her expectations. I did that a long time ago, and through her perspective, it was pretty harsh. And besides, I'm probably not going to see her again.

"Y-yeah." I say, putting a strained smile.

"So, where you heading?" She asked.

I jerked my head towards the store on my left. "Forever 21. I'm clothes shopping." I say, throwing away my pride with it.

"Fabulous, I'll help you find clothes then." She clasped her hands together and held my arm to the clothes store. I visibly blenched at her touch. I'm obviously going to regret this.

I removed my clothes and wore a lavender polka dotted dress she wants me to wear, and opened the blinds, stiffly posing for her. We went through this for an hour already, and we haven't picked an outfit yet.

She raised her finger to her chin and circled me, idly staring at my outfit.

She gave me thumbs up as I sighed in relief.

"Nice working with ya. Hope to see you again." I said, taking off my dress with the blinds open and wore my previous attire. I fixed my hair, dress in hand as I walked to the cashier.

I stood in front of the line, face marred with boredom, while glancing at the ecstatic girl behind me.

"Uhm, you may leave." I blatantly said as she shook her head.

She adjusted the sock on her mechanical leg, "I'll accompany you to where you're going next."

I merely rolled my eyes, making it less obvious as possible. "Well, I'm going home." I say, stepping upfront.

"Awe," she pouted. "Can we have coffee or snacks perhaps?"

"No."

"My treat."

"Deal!" I exclaimed, not realizing that I'm holding up the line. I quickly moved to the cashier and laid my dress on the counter, Lani traipsing beside me.

I paid the dress and went outside the store when it began to reek of perfume.

That's when I felt her grab my hand. "C'mon! To the food court!" She loudly declared and marched on the marble tiles, creating a metallic sound when she stomped with her left foot as I lowered my head.

The smell of burgers and grease made it's way into my nostrils as I drooled.

"So, what do you want to eat." She asked.

"You're buying." I removed my jacket and tied it around my waist. "You choose."

I proceeded to the empty table as I peered to Lani standing in front of the Japanese street food stand. I shrugged it off and saw a group of boys waving at me. My eyes widened as I ducked in my seat, but to no avail. They were already walking towards me.

"Annyeong, Sinon." V waved in front of me. "Is someone sitting here?" He said, hinting for him to sit.

"Sure, knock yourself out." I replied tepidly as they celebrated and crowded the seats with V beside me, though it didn't really matter, I'd rather deal with them than to lose my energy scolding them.

"Sinon," Lani called holding two sets of takoyaki while curiously eyeing the boys beside me. "Seems like we have company." She smiled as the boys waved back.

They introduced to each other, while having a conversation about Lani's leg. I munched on my takoyaki while desperately trying to avoid V's wandering hand. I tried to calm my racing and avoided his stares. Why am I feeling like this?

No way am I falling for him. To prove it, I won't shun him.

I let his hand lightly touch mine which made me cringe really bad.

"Sinon, come with me." He grabbed my hand and motioned for me to stand up. I pursed my lips and just followed wherever he's taking me, feeling another set of eyes watching us while we leave.

He dragged me across the food court, which I tell you, the food court is really big. We stood in front of Baskin Robins which was at the far end of the food court, I can't even see our seat from here. While V was buying ice cream I stood impatiently while tapping my foot on the ground as my eyes wandered to the ice cream. I gawked at the price of the ice cream. It's almost the same price as my dress for just one cone, a cone better be worth it or else it'll be a rip off.

"Sinon, here you go." V called as he held a large cone of ice cream to my face, almost touching my nose.

"What's this for? Do you want something from me or what?" I said, almost slapping the cone away from me, then I remembered the price.

"Nothing. I just found out that you love chocolate, so here." He placed the cone in my hands.

"I'm not going to be indebted?"

He chuckled and shook his head. I stared at the expensive ice cream I'm holding before raising it near his mouth.

"You take the first bite then." I said in a bored tone. He blinked a few times, eyeing me incredulously.

"Well!?" I chided impatiently making him gulp nervously and neared his lips on the ice cream taking a bite off it. He got cream all over lips as he childishly rolled his tongue around his mouth.

"That's unhygienic!" I scolded, angrily grabbing napkins and threw it at his dirty face.

"Mianhe, Noona." His chuckle muffled in the napkins that stuck to his face because of the cream as he slowly removed it from his face wiped it in his face.

I rolled my eyes. "Don't call me noona, pabo Taehyung." I scoffed and licked my ice cream as he visibly flushed in front of me.

"What!" I spat making him shift from his position.

"Nothing." he frantically said, his blush remaining visible.

"Let's go back." I ordered nonchalantly, ushering for him to follow me. When my head roamed around the court, I saw two heads duck back down behind a seat.

I furrowed my eyebrows and stepped closer.

"Noona?" V tried to follow my gaze as I ushered him to stay. He nodded as I carelessly walked to them, not caring if they heard me or not.

"Omo....I think she saw us." One of them whispered as I leaned my elbow on top of the seat, watching them cower below me.

"Why don't you take lessons from V. He's clearly an expert at it." I said as they jumped from their positions, crawling away from me.

I cracked my knuckles and approached them, a malicious scowl embedded on my face.

*Cue elevator music*

I dragged both J-hope and Jimin by the ear to our tables, while groaning and ranting nonstop. On the other hand, V seemed really quiet. When I turned around he avoided my gaze and walked further behind, his hands slightly shaking. Everyone in the food court's gaze was locked at us and eyed us skeptically, watching me drag two grown men by the ear while loudly wailing.

"Mianhe, Sinon!" Jimin cried as she held my arm that was pulling his ear.

"Hobi, won't do it again!" Hoseok whined, crouching sideways since he's tall. Not a problem for Jimin though.

"Aish!" I hollered, raising their ears so that they can experience more agony, receiving a resounding howl coming from the two.
We approached our table, but they were to absorbed in their conversation to notice their two friend's cries.

"Eomma Jin," I called in a low, intimidating tone as all of them whipped their heads back to me.

"Your children were causing mischief while you were making out with your husband. Keep an eye on them or else I'll report them for juvenile delinquency." I deadpanned causing the two to gulp. Others laughed at the way I addressed Jin, and the fact that he was 'making out' with his/her husband. *cough* Namjoon *cough*

I released their ears as they cowered back to their seat, massaging their swollen ear.

"So you're an emo now? How quaint." A voice said in a deep, raspy tone as I quickly turned my head to V, wondering why he sounded like a dying grandma. When I turned to him, his eyes widened at the person behind me, slowly backing up next to me.

I followed his gaze to a wrinkly, old grandma with a cigarette sticking out of her mouth, obscene tattoos, and flabby muscles wearing no other color than black.

My eyebrows furrowed and glared at her with all the resentment I could muster.

It's her.
