September 14th.
23 weeks pregnant.

Idris and Jessica are back in Minnesota.  Tonight they are having dinner with their kids.
Conner will also be bringing along the mother of his baby.

"Sorry we're late you guys! I couldn't find anything that fit me!" Jessica laughs as she greets her boys.

"No worries!  You look beautiful, momma!"

"Thank you, Bradley!"

"Hi Mum!" Ziah smiles.

Jessica giggles. "Hello, sweetie!"

"How was your trip?" Conner asks.

"Oh it was beautiful!  We had so much fun, didn't we, Iddy?"

"Yes, it was incredible!"

"It was nice to have some alone time before the babies arrive." Jessica says before turning to Abri.  Abri is the mother of Conner's child.

"Hello Abri!  How are you feeling?"

"I feel okay, thank you.."

Jessica wasn't very fond of Abri.  She just didn't get a good vibe from her.  She decided to stay silent to keep from upsetting her and Conner.  If she said the wrong thing and they took the baby away, Jessica wouldn't be able to deal with that pain.  So she kept quiet and tried her best to form a nice relationship with Abri.

"Alright, mom and Idris are here.  You gonna tell us now, Conner?" Bradley asks.

Conner turns to Abri and she smiles. "Go ahead."

"Ah!" Jessica covers her mouth. "Okay, I'm ready!  Tell us!"

"Haha!  Well.. It's a boy!" Conner smiles.

"A baby boyyy!  Aww Conner, that's so nice!  I can't wait to meet my grandson!  Ah!  My grandson!" Jessica cries.

"Aw." Idris wraps his arm around her for comfort.

"You're going to be the best greatest Nan ever!"

"Nan!" Jessica laughs. "Honey, that sounds old!  I don't look like a Nan!  Look at me!"

"Well.. Should I be the one to break it to her?" Bradley jokes.

"Aww!  That's not true!" Idris laughs and kisses the top of her head.

"Hey!  I am not old, Bradley!" Jessica laughs through her tears.

"I'm kidding!" He laughs. "This is so cool!  Congratulations, Conner."

"Thanks!"

After a delicious meal and some very nice conversation, it was time to head home.

"Mom, before we go, could I please speak to you alone?" Conner asks.

"Of course.. Here Idris.  Will you take my food to the car, please?"

"Of course, darling." Idris smiles.

"Thanks!
.. So what's up, Conner?"

"I'm really sorry about how I messed up while you were in Hawaii.  Did dad or grandma call you?"

"I only spoke with your father."

"What did he say?"

"He said that if this baby is his then he's fighting me for custody."

"Damn..
  I mean if it is his, you'll let him see it, right?"

"I don't know, Conner.  I really don't."

"Why?  It's his baby too." Conner suddenly became a little defensive.

"Why?  Well I don't know, maybe because he didn't do a damn thing for you or your brother, so he wouldn't even know how to take care of the baby!  I am his mother, okay?  He will stay with me.  And that's that."

"Alright.
.. How's the divorce going?"

"Nothing's happening so far.  I'm kinda worried that he'll make me take a prenatal paternity test, and I just don't want to do that."

"Why?  It's only a blood test, isn't it?"

"I just don't want to, Conner!  Okay?  God, this is all so stressful already and I just want to enjoy this pregnancy with Idris.  I don't care if you agree with this or not.  Idris and I are in love, and we just want to enjoy these next few months preparing for our children.
  When the babies are born we'll find out if Ezekiel is or father's or Idris'.  Okay?  Is that okay with you?"

"Yeah, whatever.  I'm sorry."

"Just worry about your little boy, and I'll worry about mine."

"Alright." Conner nods before he gives his mother a hug and kiss goodbye.
