Home

One week later.

"Honey, you need to leave now if you're going to be at the airport in time to pick up my babies!"

"I know, I'm leaving."

"You don't even have pants on!  Come on, get dressed!"

"Will you calm down?  I'm going!"

Jessica rolls her eyes and continues cooking.

"I'm making them a nice home cooked meal. They're going to be so happy!"

"I'm sure they will. Have you seen my pants?"

"What do you mean, have I seen your pants? In the closet, Hank! Now hurry up!"

**

As soon as Jessica heard the truck, she ran to the living room to greet her boys.
Swinging the front door open she smiled wide and shouted, "MY BABIES ARE HOME!"

"Hey mom!" Bradley hugged her tightly and lifted her up off the ground, making her laugh.

"I love your haircut, baby!"

"Thanks!"

"Oh and Conner!  Growing it out, I see." Jessica smiles and messes wit his hair.

"I'm in a band.  It goes with my style."

"Hey man, cool.. I love it!"

Conner laughs and hugs his mother.

"You boys come in, daddy will get your things!" Jessica takes them both by the hand, and walks into the house. "I made some yummy dinner!  Go wash up so we can eat and talk!  I want you to catch me up on everything in your lives!"

**

"Her names Ashley.. she's pretty hot."

"Oh Conner!" Jessica laughs. "Well I'd love to meet her sometime, honey!"

Conner gives his mother a smile before he continues eating.

"What about you, Bradley?  Anything new and exciting?"

"Umm.." Bradley felt his chest tighten, and his hands sweat.

"What is it, honey?"

"Well.. I've been seeing someone for a while now.. we just uh.. we've been keeping it a secret but.. it's actually been a.. along time that we've be.. together."

"Why have you never told us about her, son?" Hank asks.

"Well because um.."

Jessica knew what her son was going to say.  She knew he was afraid to say it, so she reached over and placed her hand on his.  She then looked into his eyes and smiled sweetly, making him feel more at ease.

"Mom.. Dad.. I'm gay.  The reason I've hid this relationship for so long is because I didn't know how you all would react to me dating a man."

"Oh honey, I don't care who you're with as long as you're happy! Honestly, I've always known.  Maybe even before you knew! There was always something about you that.. I don't know, just told me. I mean, you didn't even want to nurse!"

"Mom." Bradley laughs and nods his head.
"What does that have to do with anything?"

"You never liked breasts!"

"I see." He chuckles.

"Anyway.. It's okay.  I just want you to be happy.  I don't care who you date!  As long as you really do love this person, and he loves you."

Bradley smiles and nods his head. "We really are in love mom.  He's great!"

"Aww!  Baby, I'm happy for you!" Jessica stands up and hugs her son.

"Thank you, mom!" Bradley then looks over to his father to see his reaction.

"Dad?  You okay?"

"Yeah I.. um.. congratulations!  We're happy for you, bud."

Jessica gives her husband a look before turning to Conner.

"Now I understand why you turned Christine Stringfeild down in high school!  I just thought you were an idiot!" Conner laughs.

"Yeah.. but I did fool around with her brother."

"What?!" Jessica's eyes widen on her son.

"Yeah." Bradley chuckles.

"I thought Conner was the wild one!  You hid that pretty dang well!"

"Thanks, I tried!"

**

That evening.

"Hank?"

"Yes?"

"How do you feel?"

"About what?"

"You know what the hell I'm talking about, Hank."

"I don't know how I feel." Hank takes his shirt off, then throws it against the wall, making Jessica jump.

"Actually, I do know.  I'm pissed!"

"Why?  He's happy!"

"I just don't understand it!  A man loving a man.. What is that? Why?!"

"Wow, you jerk!"

"Jess-"

"You asshole!  Love is love, Hank!  How can you say these things when you see how happy our son is?
Would you rather him live his life a total lie? Just to please you?"

"I'll get over it eventually.. I guess."

"He could marry this boy!  They could have a child together!  Do you really want to ruin that by not being accepting?"

"What?  Marriage and a child?  No!  Jessica, this is ridiculous.  Fine, he's gay?  He can be gay!  But marriage and a child?  Hell No!"

"UGGH!  You pig!  Get out of this room before I knock you out!"

"I'm just-"

"GET OUT!" Jessica punches her fists into his chest and pushes him backwards.

"YOU BASTARD!"

Hank is the type of person I hate the most.
He's inspired by the ignorant assholes I see online.
I do not, and will not ever understand how someone can shame another person for who they love. It's disgusting!
