Zyona freaked out...

She wanted to shout but she started to hyperventilate.

She squeezed her eyes.

Then she instantly opened it and froze.

Zyona is trying to absorb what she read...

And said to herself .... While catching her breaths...

"hindi yon totoo dba?!..."

And intertwined her hands "wag po ganoon! please keep us all safe and away from harm"

She sat down and shouted...

"sh*t talaga hindi ako makagetover buti nalang talaga...bad dream!!!! Whoahhh"

She checked her phone no missed calls nor messages and its almost 2 in the morning.

"nakakagutom tuloy, makapag peanut butter sandwich nga.. Ay wag cheese spread nalang..."

She was about to turn on the television but and said "no no no, parang dejavu hays napaparanoid na ata ako..."

Suddenly she heard her phone, rushed and read the message " bwisit! kalo kung ano na... expire na pala unlicalls ko! Hahaha"

Then she kept quite for awhile and realized "nabasa ko sa magazine, kapag napanaginipan mo isang taong kilala mo... Means you can't stop thinking about that person so pumasok siya sa subconscious level and whatever happened sa dream its either the things you want to avoid to happen or a warning"

She weirdly talked to herself...

"warning? Hmmm... Zyona! chill... breathe in... Breathe out... Remember nagpapagaling na nga siya.. he's out of danger!"

"hindi na tuloy ako inaantok, nakakaloka itong week na toh sana weekend na gusto ko tumambay sa lake!"

She drank a glass of water straight. Went to the bathroom, washed her face and brush her teeth.

Zyona went back on her bed, trying to sleep again but there are many thoughts running through her mind.

"masyado na yata akong involved sa Mendoza Family, I need to take back a liitle mahirap pa naman ma attach ng sobra... Feeling ko lately sakanila na umiikot mundo ko? Over acting lang ba ako?"

"haaay makatulog na nga... I'll call Auery pagising ko" In a few minutes she is already asleep.

It's 7:15 in the morning, Dana with her mom and Daryl with his dad are having their breakfast.

Zyona woke up and called Auery but dropped it right away so she will call her back instead.

After 10 minutes while preparing to cook... Auery called Zyona "girl where you at? You alright?"

"Auery! Andito ako condo, may gagawin ka ba?"

Auery knew Zyona needed her "good to know nakapagpahinga kana, wala so I'll be there in 30 minutes"

Zyona happily said "yey! Great... You know me well! ingat regards ka Louie"

Auery told her "alright papahatid ako sakanya papasok na rin siya office"

Zyona answered positively "okay see you girl, ingat!"

Around 8 in the morning she opened the door and hugged Auery.

"Zyona dalhin natin itong fruits sa hospital"

Zyona wondered and winked "kala ko para sa akin girl! Sasamahan moko?"

"kuha ka lang kung ano gusto mo, yes until lunch time tapos Louie will pick me up may imemeet kami para sa simple wedding namin"

Zyona checked the fruits "Auery I'll get two apple and banana , ahh okay yesss excited ka na best? When ba wedding niyo?"

Auery giggles while talking to her
"excited and anxious hahaha next month na March but hindi pa namin nafifinalizeyong exact date"

Zyona was shocked but gladly asked
"bilis ah, lapit na din. Wait hindi pa sure ang date? why oh why?"

Auery explained humbly "ayoko kasi malaki tiyan ko sa wedding and we both agreed naman the sooner the better. Hindi naman extravagant wedding, simple church ceremony and small reception lang close lang talaga... Tayo tayo lang"

Zyona agreed "mas ok naman na intimate lang kasal niyo...I can't wait for both of you and kay baby soon!"

Auery put her hand on Zyona's shoulder and said "girl.... can you be my Maid of honor?"

Zyona proudly answered "Big yes! I'd love that!"

Auery added "Bridesmaid ko si Chincy she knew naman na grade school pa tayo Bff, I told her already"

Zyona reacted "wow nice hindi yon magjejelly"

Auery said sadly "kaya lang..."

Zyona asked "kaya lang what?"

Auery explained further "hindi namin sagot yong damit niyo, have your own dress. I preferred cocktail dress in black color. Budgeted kasi lahat para sa panganganak ko na"

Zyona hold Auery's hand "ano kaba, ok nga yon hindi too formal, dami ko kaya damit dyan atleast sa gift nalang gagastos haha"

Auery smiled and told her "kuripot talaga neto bumili ka naman bago! Eh ikaw kelan ka susunod?"

Zyona maked face and sat down "pagiisipan ko kung bibili pa ako... Haha... Ako nanaman, ako nalang lage "

Auery wondered "drama best? Just asking! And bakit ramdam ko kanina na need mo kausap over the phone?"

Zyona expressed "I don't see myself getting married kasi wala pa akong groom! Ohhhwww somethings bothering me"

Auery asked seriously "given that, hindi mo pa ba nilolook forward na ikasal? So What's bothering you?"

Zyona stated "well hopefully one day but I'm not pressured like others do..."
And she shared ...
"we both know Daryl since we were young though we parted ways. I feel like nothing changed but I'm worried about my closeness to him or to them"

Auery exclaimed "worried ka because? You're falling in love with him? Or you're worried that he is just a friend?

Zyona offered "nagbreakfast kana ba? kain tayo"

Auery quickly reacted "I'm done, so ano nga?!"

Zyona answered while eating "both?"

Auery got confused "both? Hindi ko gets!"

Zyona said while slowly chewing her food "I think I'm starting to like him more and I might hurt him because I don't feel that I'm ready to be in a romantic relationship"

Auery rolled her eyes "teka keri ko pa yong ibang level na like, pero yong hindi ka pa ready? Bakit...does he asked you already to be his gf?"

Zyona responded "hindi pa"

Auery smirked "hindi pa pala eh, paano kung hindi naman niya itatanong yon at all?"

Zyona almost choked "ouch! Wrong judgement"

Auery looked at Zyona intensely "now nahurt ka sa sinabi ko... Are you sure worries lang mga yan or fears?"
And quickly added
"fear na iinvest ang sarili sakanya then it doesn't work out in the end"

Zyona expressed "nega! hindi agad nagwork? I dunno, I can't take risk"

Auery cranky response "what iririsk mo? Eh wala pa naman sa situation na yon... Huwag mong pangunahan!"

Zyona laughed "ramdam ko eh may something, hindi ko rin maintindihan hahaha"

Auery noticed "sira ka talaga! Feeling ko best nagkakaganyan ka kasi you're the one putting an effort these days."

Zyona said while drinking "yuuuppp"

Auery strongly pointed out "feeling mo nanaman ikaw ang lalaki!"

Zyona answered defensively "correct! Pero may masama naman kasi nangyari"

Auery emphasized "to the rescue ka kasi lagi..."

Zyona reacted and raised her eyebrows "wala naman choice!"

Auery shouted "cliche na yan at cliche na din sagot ko you have a choice!"

Zyona asked nicely "sige nga what's my choice?"

Auery discussed "Zyona walang issue yong hindi pa dumarating parents nila, we stayed there in the hospital. How about nung niyaya ka namin umuwi na dahil andoon na parents nila, you chose to stay, girlfriend ka ba? Hindi naman!"

Zyona has nothing to say "hmmmmm"

Auery scolded her "See hindi ka makasagot, you chose to stay kasi gusto mo ipakita na mahalaga sayo si Daryl I'm not saying wala lang siya sa amin, pero lumugar ka girl! Don't act as if kayo na! And don't act mahal mo na siya kung indenial ka!"

Zyona joked but it got into her head "grabi ka best! Panalo sa lines san mo nabasa yan? Hahaha!"

Auery laughed and said "sampalin kita dyan para bonga yong scene hahaha! But seriously masyado ka kasi mabait masyado kang mapagbigay, ganyan ganyan ka tuwing bago magkabf!"

"Auery ganun ba ako? Eh if I can help, I''ll help! I want them to know they can count on me"

Auery sarcastically agreed "oo you're like that, kaya ang ending they took advantage of you and in return ano? Sila ang hindi mo maasahan"

Zyona smiled boastfully "I'm not asking anything in return naman"

Auery blurted out "that's bullsh*t! You don't asked but you hoped for it, right?"
Zyona bite her lips while listening to Auery statements
"tapos iiyak ka... Best on my perspective huwag ka magpakadakila! Lumalagpas ka nanaman sa borderline halos ibuhos mo na panahon mo sa isang tao."

Zyona tried to lighten up the convo... "dakila talaga hahaha isang araw lang yon o.a best!"

Auery talked while her hands on her waist "I'm telling you isang araw palang yan what more? Wag mo naman sanaying maging co-dependent siya sayo"

Zyona insisted "I just offered my help!"

Auery disagreed "fine...!"

Zyona quickly reacted "galit ka na best puso at baby mo? Easy..."

"look at me Zyona... Ok tumulong kana, what's next?"

Zyona quickly joked "Abangan ang susunod na kabanata! Hahaha!" they both laughed out loud. Auery new that whenever Zyona joked around after a serious discussions, she can't win since Zyona will do her way anyway.

Zyona took her bag and fruits "let's go na, naghihintay na sila"

Auery cranky response "hayaan mo sila maghintay, hindi mo sila responsibilidad noh!"

Zyona answered in a low tone "eh nagsabi kasi ako na maaga ako..."

Auery answered in a high tone " girl may trabaho ka ah, uunahin mo yon? Andoon naman sila"

Zyona said while walking the hallway "bukas pa ako back to work, I'm feeling good to do that"

Auery nodded and told her "ohhh, sige suportahan taka! Natatakot lang ako sa mga pinapakita mo... best be cautious"

Zyona reacted right away "hahaha kaya kita love eh game ka sa kapraningan ko... Cautious? Para san?"

Auery took a deep breath "na baka gaya ng dati, you forget about yourself"

Zyona jumped the last step in the lobby "no... Trust me!"

Auery doubtful response "okay okay, sakay na tayo. Nakakahiya naman kasi sayo"

Zyona reacted silly "Auery naman! Nagkababy kana mas nag shoot up maturity mo best! Haha!"

Auery sarcastically told her "hahahaha loka! Pinagbibigyan lang kita"

After 40 minutes they arrived in the hospital, they went to Dana's room first and found out she will be discharge before lunch.

Zyona greeted and kissed them "Good morning tita! Dana! How are you? Uwi kana?"

Dana cheerfully said "hi mga ate! I'm better than yesterday pero kumikirot pa mga sugat but I can manage."
And added
" Yes ate uwi na ako sa bahay nalang daw magpagaling tapos follow up check up next week"

Auery suggested "mas ok talaga sa bahay magpalakas, dalhin mo ibang fruits sa house niyo"

Dana quickly said "thanks ate Chincy!"

Mrs. Deb asked a favor "Thank you sa dala niyo, mga iha excuse me lang baba muna ako ayusin ko discharge papers ni Dana"

Zyona smiled "sure tita, kami po muna bahala dito..."

Mrs. Deb went to the other room informed Mr. Dan and Daryl before she went down.

Dana curiously asked "ate Zyona, pumunta kana kay kuya?"

Auery reacted quickly "nagpipigil lang ate mo, kating kati na paa niyan maglakad papunta kay Daryl"

Zyona defended herself "exag best! I'm not in a hurry to see him besides may time naman later"

Auery~ "echos!"

Dana~ "charot!"

Zyona smirked "kulit niyo dalawa...!"

Dana announced "ate darating pala si kuya Ahron tumawag sa akin baka kasi nakaalis na kami mamaya"

Zyona remembered "ahh yong nagmissed call sa kuya mo, good magbromance sila haha"

Dana teased her " haha, gwapo at ang lakas ng arrive nun ate!"

Zyona said "so?"

Auery added and winked "so ibig sabihin ni Dana... pwede ka daw pumili si Ahron or si Daryl"

Dana sung " sana... Dalawa ang puso ko... hahaha "

Auery and Zyona laughed then she said "adik kayo hahaha nireto niyo ako agad!!"

Dana quickly answered "sige ka ate kaw rin!"

Zyona said while laughing "Dana d kaya puppy love mo yang Ahron na yan, pinapasa mo lang sa akin"
And added...
"oh wait sabi ng kuya mo pamilyado na yon!"

Dana revealed "hindi naman sila kasal, last year hiwalay na sila nasa kanya anak nila"

Auery pushed Zyona's arms "best! Instant mommy ka haha!"

Zyona shared seriously "there's nothing wrong kung may anak, lalo't confirmed na hiwalay na..."

Dana shouted "oha parang gustong subukan ni ate!"

Auery insisted her point of view "best, mga good boys kasi nagiging jowa mo baka yang Ahron mukhang bad boy, excited ako"

Zyona was sceptical "bad boy eh noh, gusto ko ako lang bad hahaha"

Dana asked weirdly "ikaw ate bad? I don't see that side in you yet"

Auery told Dan "nako po ... Don't dare, mahilig yan sa sweet revenge haha!"

Zyona looked at Auery badly "oist Auery baka maniwala sayo yan si Dana"

Auery talked to Zyona and Dana "girl tigilan mo nga ako, kinuwento ba sayo ni Zyona mga ginawa niyan sa ex's niya?"

Dana felt like there's a lot more to the stories "ate madami ka ata inedit sa kwento mo"

Zyona laughed like a villain "hahaha saka na baka gayahin mo pa"

Auery whispered "bad kasi"

Zyona asked "haha maiba tayo Dana graduating ka na dba?"

Dana shared "yes ate... college naku, scary ayaw ko pa naman transition period"

Zyona advised "you have nothing to be scared about, mas mapapakita mo nga galing mo sa college."

Dana quickly asked "kung kasing galing ko kayo...ate Auery ikaw anong course mo? Pareho ba kayo school?

Auery gladly shared " wag kang magdoubt sa self mo. I took up HRM sa CEU ako, si Zyona sa St. Paul University yan"

Dana reacted "kahit pala magkaiba kayo school BFF pa din. San ka work ate Auery?"

Auery explained while slicing the apple "oo naman wala sa school or distance ang pagkakaibigan. Sharingla Makati, assistant supervisor currently naka leave ako kaya goodluck pagbalik ko dami gagawin..."

Dana answered "naks BFF GOALS! mapropromote ka na niyan ate"

Auery told her "sana nga..."

Zyona asked Dana "saan ka magcollege? Anong course kukunin mo?"

Dana answered "nakapasa ako ate sa UST and DLSU, confused ako kung Dentistry or Business Management."

Zyona thought what Daryl told her "girl parang sa kuya mo lang ah, wow dentistry hi doc! Bagay sayo"

Dana proudly asked "bagay ba ate ganda kasi ng mga teeth ko?"

Zyona said truthfully "maganda teeth mo pero bagay sayo kasi maliit ka, pag nasa chair patient mo sakto lang sayo hahaha"

Dana agreed to Auery "ate bad ka talaga haha magheheels ako!"

Auery responded "haha sabi sayo pag bumanat yan tagos eh haha"

Dana curiously asked "si ate Chincy ano kinuha niya?"

Auery revealed "Nurse yon sa FEU, nagwowork yon sa medical clinic sa mall pero dati siya ofw sa dubai"

Dana realized "siya pa pala ang professional kesa sa inyo"

Zyona shared gladly "kahit party mode lagi, board passer nasa top 30 yon!"

Dana asked and wondered"galing! ikaw ate Zyona bakit hindi kana nagtry sa ibang company at naghome based ka na lang eh single ka naman?"

Zyona cranky response "bakit ang home based ba pang housewife lang... Eh nakakastress byahe"

Auery reacted "nakakastress daw sa byahe, sabihin mo hindi kapa nakaka move on sa last bf mo so you rather work at home"

Dana wanted to know "bakit? Anong meron sa last bf mo?"

Mrs. Deb came in "oh magligpit na tayo anak at ng makauwi para mkatulog naman daddy mo sabay na siya, andito pa naman si Zyona and kuya Ahron magovernight daw kaya may kasama kuya mo"

Zyona felt confused "tita kala ko po darating pinsan nila?"

Mrs. Deb explained "sa Weekend pa daw may aasikasuhin daw muna sa school ng anak"

Auery and Zyona helped "sige po tulungan na namin kayo..."

After 25 minutes Dana and his parents were all set to leave, they all went to Daryl's room.

Mr. Deb "mga nagandahang dilag maiwan muna namin kayo at hindi ko na talaga kaya kailangan ng makatulog ng maayos. magiingat kayo paguwi"

Zyona answered politely "tito restwell and ingat din po kayo"

Daryl parents reminded him to eat on time and Dana kissed his brother then they left.

Chincy and Zyona stayed...

Daryl stared and asked "Zyona kanina ka pa pala sa kabilang room hindi ka man lang sumilip"

Zyona rolled her eyes "silip pa kasama mo na nga ako"

Auery silly joined "para hindi daw obvious Daryl"

Daryl asked "hindi obvious ang?"

Zyona stated "pasaway ka best"

Daryl simply said "am I the only one who doesn't get it?"

Zyona smirked and said nicely "oo kaya nevermind, so how are you feeling?"

Daryl admitted "mas naramdaman ko operation ko at bugbog ko, masakit. kaya puro pain killers ako..."

Auery showed "magkakain ka fruits kalahati na yan kasi inuwi ni Dana yong iba"

Daryl smiled "thanks Auery! buti ka pa may pasalubong"

Zyona answered irritably "ano ka bata? pagdating dapat may pasalubong"
And sadly said...
"hindi ba enough presence ko?"

Daryl worriedly said "wala akong sinabi, ang sensitive nito nangaasar lang!"

Auery looked at her "girl kamusta naman sa reaction meron ka ba?"
And talked to him...
"Daryl hindi mo kasi naapreciate na andito siya "

Daryl explained sincerely"grateful ako Zyona and namiss kita kaya nagulat ako ng sinabi ni mommy na andoon kana pala sa kabilang room"

Zyona exclaimed "kung namiss mo ko you should have called, kung namiss mo ko the minute I walked in naka smile ka na!"

Daryl giggles "Zyona? Ok ka lang haha"

Zyona looked pissed "what's funny about that? Yeah I'm ok"

Auery quickly said"hala ka Daryl! Lagot ka..."

Daryl apologized and worried "ano ginawa ko? Peace na po...Whatever it is, I didn't mean anything bad Zyona"

Zyona fooled them "good! Galing ng acting ko? Hahaha"

Daryl told her "pangalawa mo na yan Zyona..."

Zyona snobbed response "eh ano ngayon?"

Daryl stated "wala, love you"

Zyona glared and told him "duh fyi walang impact ang love you"

Auery weirdly asked "ano ba dapat?"

Zyona said strongly " I! love you"

Daryl looked at her and sweetly said
"I love you too"

Auery was shocked on what she heard... Zyona blushed and quickly explained...

Zyona was affected secretly " I just answered your question Auery, ikaw Daryl?"

Daryl expressed "I just shared and answered your feelings"

Auery was surprised and can't hide it "oh ow... Eh kinilig ako ng slight, ayyyiiee kaw girl?"

Zyona composed herself and boastfullly responded "well... Ako? Natawa haha gaya rin ng sabi ko kay Dana hindi ako paasa huwag lang kayong feeling!" she said that to avoid further questions.

And silence occured ... And the atmosphere was full of awkwardness.

When Louie knocked and said "hi guys..."

Louie shaked Daryl's hand "bro musta?"

Auery introduced him "Daryl Fiance ko"

Daryl happily greeted him "thank you bro sa pagdonate ng blood, babawi ako sayo pagkalabas ko dito gimik tayo"

"bro, welcome! Oo ba ang important lumakas kana at invite ko kayo ng kapatid mo sa wedding namin"

Daryl felt good and said "congrats! Kelan ba?"

Louie shared "last week ng march iconfirm namin sa inyo next week"

Auery whispered to Zyona "girl samahan moko parang gusto ko nang buko juice baba tayo sa canteen"

Zyona told him"okay, dyan ka muna Louie may bilhin lang"

And they went out the room as they walked towards the elevator.

Auery spanked her arms "hey best, konting brake naman sa mga sinasabi... Iba yong dating eh d bale kay Dana kasi you're talking about somebody else. Eh ito as in yong kaharap mo involve siya pa sinabihan mong feeling"

Zyona instantly said "aray naman! yon lang? Nakakaoffend ba yon?"

Auery wantes Zyona to be sensible "malamang, try mo baliktarin ikaw si Daryl...parang napahiya yong tao"

Zyona walked faster and said "eh bahala siya, deal with it"

Auery smirked"defense mechanism mo nanaman ba yan?"

Zyona pouted her lips.

Auery advised "why dont you let go of your fears and seize the moment with Daryl"

Zyona sarcastically said "patawa ka talaga best, sabi mo be cautious"

Auery looked at her seriously "oo, but not by pushing them away or turning them off"
And reacted
"huwag ka magtanga tangahan dyan! alam ko gets mo ko"

Zyona defended herself "best kung Hindi niya kayang sakyan hirit ko, sorry siya"

Auery was concerned"haaay alright, just make sure you won't eat your words"

They already bought the buko juice and headed back to the room.

Louie are discussing about motorbikes, Zyona sat down and secretly looking at Daryl while Auery checked her phone.

Louie asked her "d ba Zyona?"

She's not responding.

Louie shouted "hello Zyona! "

He snapped his fingers and Auery tapped her lap.

Zyona suprised reaction "ha ano yon?"

Auery laughed "tulala girl!"

Louie repeated "sabi ko dba pag condo madami ng rent to own"

Zyona explained "ahhh oo kaya makakahanap kayo ng place agad na affordable"

Louie seriously asked "maganda ba ang condo para sa family?"

Zyona and Daryl answered at the same time "mas maganda pa din bahay "

Auery shouted "hahaha sabay talaga"
And she whispered "at least pareho kayo na bahay gusto when starting a family"

Louie suddenly said "we have to go, nagtext na yong ka appointment namin"

Daryl responded "okay ingat kayo sa lakad nyo, sabihin niyo ako ng exact date ng kasal"

Zyona kissed and said "goodbye, thank you... See you soonest!" And the couple left.

Zyona helped Daryl to eat his lunch and he said "kain tayo"

She resisted and smiled "no sayo yan, ubusin mo! bili nalang ako sa baba"

Daryl smiled back "yes po ma'am!"
And told her
"bumili kana food mo, para masabayan mo ko"

Zyona asked "are you sure? Sige buy ako balik ako agad"

Zyona left but she did not closed the door properly.

When Daryl started to take a bite, the door slowly opened and he heard as it creaked, he stopped, palpitating and his eyes widen when somebody showed "sorry hindi ko nasara, baba na ako" it was Zyona.

he quickly said but he was really scared"sige"

Daryl Whispered " lakas ng kaba ko, woooh kala ko kung sino"

Zyona ran to the elevator and a guy bumped her and ignored her.

Zyona reacted angrily "ang rude ah" the elevator closes.

She already bought her lunch and went back to Daryl's room.

Out of surprised he saw the guy from the elevator "may bwisita ka pala Daryl"

Ahron greeted her "hi, Zyona"

Zyona smirked and giggles...
"Ahron! Hindi ka na talaga nagbago"

Ahron asked arrogantly "hey ito gwapo pa din, ikaw kamusta ka na?"

Zyona winked "okay ako, its been a long time"

Ahron exclaimed "long time no see Zyona girl!"

Daryl felt weird, annoyed and confused.

He looked both of them..."you two know each other?"

Zyona and Ahron answered at the same time "Oo" they both down-low.

*** Fears are all in the mind.
