The sun has started to set on the day of our field trip. I smiled looking up to the sky as we started to gather up to get on the bus. My old man was only meant to be up there for a week and he lasted a whole year. Fair enough old man and now I'll have to hear all your stories for the next 10 billion years. “Senku!” I groaned; I know that voice. I looked up Taiju and Yuzuriha walking up to the bus with their overnight bags. Two of our members dropped at the last minute so we have two spaces left and we no refunds available we had to fill the spaces. “Thanks again for letting us come Senku.”

I shrugged, “We need to fill up the spots quickly and the logical solutions was getting the two people who I knew didn’t have plans.”

“Thanks?” Yuzuriha hesitated, not knowing if she should be happy, she’s basically been told she has no social life.  “Anyway, you looking forward to the trip?”

“Should be interesting,” I hummed, smirking knowing I'm giving some members little challenges while we are on the trip.

“And you have the chance to get closer to Ria too huh?” Taiju tried to tease and I just sighed. “Ah come on, admit it.”

“My vocal cords aren’t going to be used to comprise my true response to that illogical statement,” I muttered turning away and started to head onto the bus. I continued to ignore Taiju’s nonsense and took my seat in the front row.

“Hiya Ria,” I heard Taiju greet and then said girl was walking up the stairs of the bus.

“Hello Senku,” She smiled brightly pointing to the empty seat next to me. I nodded and she placed her bag in the overhead compartment before taking a seat.  “Excited for the trip?”

“It’s just another school activity,” I shrugged smirking. “Though I hope I get access to the observatory and use their telescope.”

“It would certainly be nice if we could use it,” Ria smiled. “Say, strange question?”

“Hmm,” I raised a brow.

“The mission your dad is on, I read up on it, wasn’t it only for a week? Why has he been up there for a year?”

I blinked; she researched my old man? I reached a hand behind my neck and cracked it. “I think he impressed them or something like that,” I laughed. “It’s been quiet without him so I don’t look forward to all his bragging when he comes back.”

“It’s not every day you get chosen for to go into space,” Ria giggled and I blushed? Why am I blushing? “Let him brag for a bit and get it out his system. I’m sure you can brag about something to him too when he’s back, right?”

Brag? What could I brag about? I guess I could brag about having my own personal lab assistant. Wait, why ould I brag about that? I snapped out my thoughts, realising Ria was talking to some students to to the seats next to us about idle things.

Meat head can’t be right, can he? His stupid theory about my feelings? Surely, it’s all just a theory.
