CHAPTER ONE
wednesday's child is full of woe

"You could always just light her hair on fire." The sound of footsteps and the voice of Juliana's best friend, Xavier was heard. "What?" She spoke up, sounding like she was actually thinking about it. "Well, because you're a witch and all the spells- wait, are you actually thinking of doing it?" Juliana wanted to hurt Bianca for how she hurt her, she hated that she was still staring and wishing the girl would look back at her.
She finally turned her gaze away from Bianca, looking to Xavier. "No, no of course not. I would get expelled." She sat up from her seat, grabbing onto her books and looked up to see Enid with another girl who she expected was Wednesday Adams. She shrugged it off, turning back to Xavier. "Is that the only reason you won't do it? Because, Julia if you still have like feelings-" Before Xavier could finish, he stopped when seeing the look on his friends face.
"What did you even want? I know it wasn't to talk about Bianca, that's certainly not what I want." She didn't want to even think about her anymore. Any thought of her ex girlfriend drove her insane, Juliana was tired of how Bianca could still keep her place in her mind even after she broke her heart. "Right, well... She's looking over here right now." It seemed like at first Xavier was going to say something else but that changed and she heard what he said instead, Juliana's eyes were going towards Bianca again, who was looking right back at her.
She hated it. It was unbelievable how Bianca could think she had the right to look at her like she had did nothing. Bianca didn't get to look at her like that when she practically ripped Juliana's heart out. Something in her felt like it was burning, only getting even more when Bianca winked at her. She quickly turned back to Xavier letting out a scoff. "I hate her. I hate her so much, Xavier." She mumbled as she started to walk off which made Xavier quickly follow her.
Just a couple feet away from them stood Enid Sinclair with Wednesday Addams. "Who's that girl?" Wednesday asked staring Juliana down who was saying something to the boy next to her, she looked angry. "Oh, that's Juliana Hayes! She's a witch. We were actually friends when we were younger but she just stopped talking to me out of nowhere... I don't know why. She's also Bianca's ex-girlfiend... They broke up at the end of summer. Reason, unknown."
"Fascinating." She answered the blonde, sounding very uninterested.

The day had been annoying. She let out a groan when she walked into her shared dorm with Yoko Tanaka. "Jeez, what's got you in such a mood?" Yoko spoke up when seeing the look on Juliana's face. "It's Bianca! She keeps giving me looks, staring at me and fucking talking about me. She broke up with me! So, why can't she keep my name out of her mouth." She sounded slightly sad now... still frustrated but also sad.
Yoko wouldn't be help with that, she wasn't the best at comforting others. Especially Juliana, she was difficult to comfort because she usually ignored everything the other gave to help. "Just ignore her? Besides, I thought you were getting over her." Juliana fell back against the bed, covering her face with her pillow and screaming into it. "I am getting over her."
"Okay... then stop paying attention to her?" She knew Yoko has a point, but it was hard to ignore Bianca. She was everything to Juliana and she loved her. And Bianca loved her back, at least, she thought she did.

Juliana was in fencing cast, she usually loved the class. But it was hard to get something right when she knew Bianca was also there. She thought it'd be easier to ignore her because she couldn't even see her face. But clearly she couldn't when her sword was knocked out of her hand. She let out a groan as she ripped her mask off though her partner just shrugged. "What, are you having an off day?"
"Shut up, Ajax." She shot back at the boy and before he could say anything back, the sound of footsteps was heard. Juliana turned to see Wednesday walking right through everyone's matches. She wasn't dressed in their normal fencing uniform. Her's was all black and it was oddly fitting. Juliana took of her helmet, looking to Xavier who stopped his match because of this.
She didn't know what the girl was doing. Then a stumble was heard which made her look to see Rowan on the ground because he lost to Bianca. "Coach, coach, coach, she tripped me." As much as she hated defending and siding with Bianca now, Bianca didn't trip him. "It was a clean strike, Rowan." The boy was just terrible at fencing. The whole class knew it. Yes, they were sorta close due to Xavier but she wasn't going to lie.
"Maybe if you whined less and practiced more, you wouldn't suck." Juliana just wanted to go back to fencing, she was tired of Bianca's voice. "Seriously, coach, when am I gonna get real competition?" She asked, looking towards the older man as Rowan got up. Coach handed Rowan his glasses who took them and walked off to the side.
Juliana should have gone back to what she was doing but she couldn't look away from Bianca once again. "Anyone else want to challenge me?" She was close to speaking up but, she'd rather not do a fencing spare against her ex. "I do." Wednesday spoke up which made Bianca turn to her and it caught Juliana's interest. "Oh, you must be the psychopath they let in."
"And you must be the self-appointed queen bee. Interesting thing about bees, pull out their stingers, they drop dead." Bianca looked around the room at that and Juliana didn't think this would end well. "Rowan doesn't need you to come to his defense. He's not helpless, he's lazy."
Juliana walked up so she was standing next to Xavier, and the boy gave her a look before looking back to Bianca and Wednesday. "Are we doing this or not?" Wednesday ignored everything else Bianca said, questioning if they were going to or not. Bianca titled her head and backed up making Wednesday step on the mat.
"En garde." Wednesday pulled her mask down and so did Bianca. The two got in position and Bianca striked first. Then Wednesday striked back, Bianca was going backwards. Juliana noticed that Wednesday was good, she almost thought she was better than Bianca but of course she wouldn't say that outload...
"Point to Wednesday." After Wednesday earned a point, they once again got back in position and it started again. This time it didn't take a long. "The score is even." Wednesday took her helmet off and so did Bianca. "That first point was clearly beginner's luck." Though she usually always agreed with Bianca, she couldn't this time. It didn't look like beginner's luck.
It looked like Wednesday had been doing this for a while. "Let's finish this." The two were practically circling each other. "For the final point, I would like to invoke a military challenge. No masks. No tips." Everyone in the cast gasped expect Juliana. It worried her if Bianca would get hurt. Yes, they weren't together anymore and yes, Bianca was amazing at fencing but she still worried an Wednesday wa obviously also good.
"Winner draws first blood." That worried her even more and it made everyone silent. "It's your decision, Bianca." Coach told her and Juliana really hoped she'd just drop it but she knew Bianca hating losing. "Let's see if you bleed in black and white." Bianca threw her mask aside and Wednesday striked at her, Bianca was able to block in time and then ducked. It seemed like Wednesday had a lead in this and she hated it. Bianca was struggling but then she got up and she hit Wednesday. The dark haired girl wiped her forehead and pulled it down to see there was blood. Xavier let out a disbeliefed exhale which made Juliana kick him.
She was surprised too but she was glad Bianca wasn't hurt. "Your face finally got that splash of color it so desperately needed."

She was walking back to her dorm, holding her jacket with her hand due to it getting warmer later in the day. "Julie? Hey, hold on. I wanna talk!" The sound of Bianca's voice was heard from behind her making her walk faster. "Go away, Bianca! And don't call me that." There was an annoyed tone in her voice, it was obvious.
Before she knew it, she was stopped by Bianca grabbing onto her arm. Juliana turned to look at her, quickly ripping her arm away. "Don't touch me." When she said that, Bianca looked rather sad and disappointed. She didn't understand why. "I just- I wanted to ask you something."
"And I don't wanna talk to you!" Juliana once again turned away from her and started walking. She didn't wanna see her, she wanted away from her. "Don't be like that! I just wanted to know if you were going to the festival." She stopped in front of the door to her room. She looked to Bianca for a moment like she was going to answer. Her hand turned the door knob and walked into.
The sound of her slamming the door on Bianca lingered.

She did actually go to the festival. And if Bianca was there, she'd just ignore her. She was currently at one of the games, trying to entertain herself somehow. She smiled slightly when she finally tossed the ring on the last bottle. "Thank you." Juliana thanked the older women when she handed her the teddy bear.
She walked over to Enid after, they hadn't talked in years. "Hey Enid." She spoke up quietly for a second. "Juliana?" The girl answered slightly confused on why she was talking to her. "I just wanted to say hi... I've seen that your vlog is still going well." She'd seen that the blonde posted about her and Bianca's break up, what they thought was the reason they broke up. She read all the replies. But of course, she didn't bring it up.
"Why'd we stop being friends?" Enid suddenly asked which shocked her slightly. "We just grew apart..." ____________________
