Chapter 4 "Do not worry..." (Marinette and Adrien's POV)
Marinette's POV:
I sighed as I heard his voice shake.
"Do not worry..."
Adrien's POV:
"I can not help it."
I quivered and felt my lip as at trembled. I was afraid.
"It is not that easy, you know."
"My father does not love me."
Marinette's POV:
"Adrien, I am sure that is not true."
I heard him as he scowled. It was as if he did not believe me.
What could I do to convince him?
I know I could call Gabriel Agreste right now and...
Adrien's POV:
I groaned. I wished she understood how serious I am.
My father all but neglected me.
Sure, he made sure I ate, but only what he felt was appropriate for a strict model's diet.
I sighed as it dawned on me that perhaps no one wanted a thing to do with a blind model.
Marinette's POV:
"Adrien, try to relax. I am sure all will be fine."
I saw him shake his head. I could tell he was stubborn as ever.
Well, guess what? I thought, so am I.
Adrien's POV:
I shook my head at her.
Who was she to say, "everything would be fine? " Not everything was fine. How could it be when I was not the same as I was before the accident.
It is not like I knew the day I protected Ladybug from metal would be the last time I could see her face to face.
Marinette's POV:
"I love you."
Adrien's POV:
"I love you too."
Marinette's POV:
"I will visit you every day, Chat."
I no longer heard Tikki or Plagg. I wondered what those two were up to anyway.
I glanced in the corner near the windowsill and saw them both fast asleep together.
Awe, they are so cute.
"Promise?"
I heard him ask as if he doubted me.
"Promise."
Adrien's POV:
I grinned when I heard Marinette promise to visit me every day.
I frowned.
What if my father did not approve of her?
Marinette's POV:
"What on earth happened?"
I did not have long before I found out.
I heard the door as it opened, and someone's head peeked around the corner.
I gasped in surprise when he entered the room. It was Gabriel Agreste himself.
Adrien's POV:
"Adrien, may I speak to you privately, son?"
"No, father, whatever you have to say, you can say it in front of Marinette."
Marinette's POV:
I paid close attention as Gabriel shook his head in disapproval at once.
"Mr. Agreste, may I point out that Adrien has lost his sight?"
I watched as Mr. Agreste's face fell.
